You would think it’s a little morbid visiting a cemetery to visit all these famous people but you have away to bring these people back to life with your story telling Thanks Jordan
Visiting cemeteries is in no way morbid. It's a beautiful way to pay respect to your loved ones and people that paved the way for all of us to have a better life.
In my opinion there’s nothing morbid about visiting cemeteries it’s a nice way to seeing the resting places of famous people and cemeteries are peaceful, beautiful and filled with great artwork and architecture through the headstones, mausoleums, and landscaping.
I think I am too late for the live chat but thanks for going to this cemetery! I am a huge fan of Danny Kaye and Hirschfeld so I would love to visit there one day. My friend's Dad and paternal grandparents are there too. And even I know about Lou Gehrig though I am not into baseball at all which shows how legendary he was!
This is a fantastic video! That is probably the most beautiful cemetery I have ever seen! And you took us there on a gorgeous sunny day. The resting places you showed us are of people famous for actually doing great things that have enriched our lives. I was so pleased to see Anne Bancroft's lovely grave. Thank you for this excellent vlog, Jordan.
This was awesome, Jordan! I absolutely adored Danny Kaye. Loved him and his music. And the other graves you visited, they mostly touched my heart. Wonderful people who will always be remembered.
So many of my favorites. My favorite Ann Bancroft movie is Walk the Proud Land with Audie Murphy, Jay Silverheels, Charles Drake & Patricia Crowley. Another awesome vlog reminding us never to forget those who have made meaningful impressions in our lives. Just thinking about Lou Gehrig's contributions in so many different areas speaks greatly to his talent, character & work ethic. A saying I found true is "If you love what you're doing you'll never 'work' a day in your life". Thank you Jordan I love your work! ❤🙂
Thank you for the tour around Kensico Cemetery. I loved Danny Kaye, so many famous people there. What a sad day in baseball when Lou Gehrig had to leave the game. RIP to all of those you visited.
Fascinating tour of Kensico Cemetery Beautiful grounds. One of my favorites was Anne Bancroft. She could be funny as well as dramatic. Loved her in so many of her movies, The Miracle Worker, Prisoner of 2nd Avenue, Garbo Talks, Fatso. Loved her sense of humor, and she was very attractive. Thank you for interesting tour of many famous people.
Wow...may I just say....what a BREATH-TAKING cemetery!!! the owners really wear their hearts upon their sleeves to keep it clean with beautifully manicured lawns as well!! There is a certain PEACEFULNESS about it's surroundings!!! This really makes it easier for families to come and visit their loves ones throughout the years as well!! BLESS the owners for taking the time to make this happen!!! Lastly, Jordan, Thank you so very much for producing another beauty of a video!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!
I did notice some of the more famous graves had a blue flag near the grave that said "extra care" so I think maybe some of the families pay to make sure the headstone looks well taken care of
Cool vlog 😎 My father played piano and his favorite composer was Rachmaninoff and his favorite piece to play was “Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini”. Wonderful piece of music. Thanks for sharing this!!
…this was great Jordan ! Lou Gehrig, Tommy Dorsey, Sergei Rachmaninov and Danny Kaye !!! …and just like him to have a welcoming bench to stop and rest for his memorial…Donald O’Connor was another…
We didn’t have a baseball team in Connecticut, my Grandfather was a big fan, I quest I followed his love for the Yankees also being a fellow tri stater helped. Love the way you tell the history of all, very beautiful 🐾😎ty
Danny Kaye and (Red Skelton are the two )most talented entertainers in my book very good volg , enjoyed it very much . I have watched the Ziegfield follies movie with William Powell so many times , so good 📺🎥❤️
on the danny kaye grave.....yep the stone has all his interests. loved baseball, loved cooking, flying his plane, and playing the piano. the flower pot....was from his song "take time to smell the flowers" and "Inchworm"
So many famous and not so famous people in that cemetery. I loved Danny Kaye. Thank you,so interesting. I love big band music and White Christmas. You give so much information.
This was awesome! I love watching videos like this, and it was great to see new names. Don't get me wrong, i love all the Hollywood grave videos out there, but it's nice to see others and not many people film outside of Hollywood
Being grateful for the gift that God gave him. Those are powerful words that so many people don't understand, I'm thankful you do and thankful for these awesome videos you make and share with everyone, I wouldn't get to see most of any of this stuff had it not be for you, thank you.
This was great. Danny Kaye in White Christmas is one of my absolute favorites. My favorite scene was when him ans Bing Crosby sang Sisters, always gives me a good chuckle. Keep up the great videos cuz I love watching them. And a hello to Jah from Buffalo❤❤
Thanks Jordan , one of my favorite Cemeterys. B4 moving to Fla I was a yearly visitor on June 2 to put a new Yankee hat on Gehrigs headstone. R.I.P. #4.

Danny Kaye, I am a huge fan of his! Im so glad you showed his gave, it showed the many things he loved to do, and did them all to perfection!! My favorite movies of his are... The Five Pennies ~ the life story of Red Nichols. I think you would like this movie, Jordan. Hans Christian Anderson ~ he was absolutely wonderful as Hans & the story is beautiful also. White Christmas ~ there isnt anything new I can say about this film that hasnt already been said. Merry Christmas ❄️ Thank you, Jordan for such a special vlog!!! 👍👍
Hi Jordan this looks like it's in New York cemetery I'll be like there version of the Hollywood forever cemetery lol. i read Lou Gehrig book its from the 90s paperback.
Wasn't Danny Kaye cremated and his ashes were mixed into the cement to make the bench. That's what I had heard, at least. Was Al Hirschfeld the artist who did the character portraits of artists for "Sardi's" restaurant in New York Theatre district and the "Brown Derby" in L.A.? Just curious.
They keep it very nice, but there didn't seem to be any office or anyone to really ask questions to. I know the DeNiro family plot is there, with Robert Sr. There, but I couldn't find it...
I really enjoy cemetery vlogs. I can vicariously visit the final resting places of people whose work I enjoyed. I can sort of pay my respects. I don’t think it’s morbid at all.
I love Lou Gehrig. I loved the movie on him with Gary Cooper. I loved Gary Cooper's portrayal of him. I have lived in Montana since 1991, and I lived first in Helena, Montana, where Gary Cooper was born and spent the first part of his life there. His parents were both English, so I always tell people from England that they can claim Gary Cooper too! His friend, Myrna Loy, is buried in Helena. She died in NYC, but made it clear that she wanted to return home to Helena and be buried with the rest of her family. I loved seeing Danny Kayes grave as well. I like Rachmaninoff as well.
Al Hirschfeld did the art work of Aerosmith for their 1977 Album Draw The Line. The Bass player of Aerosmith Tom Hamilton owns the original Drawing of the Band.
Jordan love your Vlogs. They get better and better. Next time you are in New York you should go visit St. John's Cemetery. It's Famous for being called the Mafia Cemetery because many notable Mobsters such as Carlo Gambino, Joseph Profaci, Joe Colombo, Vito Genovese, Carmine Galante, Salvatore Maranzano, Aniello Dellacroce, John Gotti, and Salvatore (Charlie) "Lucky" Luciano lay there.

I saw Danny Kaye in a Beverly Hills parking garage in 1984. He was looking over at me and my group of friends, and I smiled over to him.

January 28, 1956, Elvis had his first appearance on TV, on the Dorcey Brothers Stage Show.
As a native New Yorker (just like all Florida residents (lol,) it was important for us to see that not all of the "greats" are "resting" in Hollywood.
Hi there!! Jordan
