Ed Gein story gives me chills. Plus he lived in a town that has the same name of the town where I grew up in Illinois. And I still say he killed his brother. Thank you Jordan
Great job as usual Joedan! Im terminally ill, and,my mobility is restricted. But everyday I look forward to your vlogs! Whatever the subject you make it interesting and informative. Your kind compassionate soul always is comforting and infectious.thank you! Blessings 🙏🏻❤
I am happy you have some enjoyment in your days. I started watching Jordan while in the hospital myself ,his first week doing his daily vlog. I in no way expected to still be here listening. He doesn’t go out everyday now ,but there is plenty to see of the back catalogue that I will watch reruns 😅. It is wonderful to have something to look forward to each day. I send you best wishes for pain free days .
@t.wilson5106 I’m incredibly sorry to hear that. I hope you’re surrounded by loved ones, are pain free and am glad to know you’re enjoying what you like. I’ll include you in my nightly thoughts, prayers, meditations. Hang in there my friend! Love & Light from Miami Shores🦚 Stay safe mates✌🏼🌎 Have a care for one another✨
And there are people who take like a gadget some land of his grave... creepy. He went at night in this cemetery to take the bodies... so creepy. He was evil.
Truly the stuff of nightmares. Your discomfort when you were driving towards the farmhouse made me wonder if a landscape can somehow become infected by its own past. I also feel sorry for the town itself, as it's identity has sadly been swallowed up by this horrific incident. Many thanks Jordan for researching and creating this vlog.
O wow, I know that this was a tough video to make! I I remember adults talking about this and sharing the disgust of the entire crimes. It was so disgusting, that people talked about it for years how incredibly sad! Thanks Jordan, you covered it
These types of stories are not meant to entertain but to inform. When we forget history, we are doomed to repeat it. Every serial killer has taught us things to look for in the future. And, they will happen again and again because the human nature of some is askew....sick, twisted and perverse. Thank you, Jordan, for as someone said below, I know this was a tough one.
Jordan you did such an amazing job on this vlog. Your concern about all of us & giving people the opportunity to not hear the horrific details about what this man did was so appreciated. You are so right about being alert & aware of those around you. He was pure evil & you handled this story with grace & compassion for all of us who love you & the work you do here. You knew not to go on that property & as a believer I believe that was God speaking to your heart. I hope you hugged Jah & went somewhere that you both could enjoy. This was definitely a rough one for you but I thank you for sharing this story & making people aware.
Enjoyed it. I loved the locations, especially the drive, pov, up to the property, and the backstories on the family I had never heard before .cheers, Jordan.
This one is unusually darker than tour usual offering. my cumulative viewing abt this man leads me to believe his mother was so horrible that his crimes can partially be attributed to his horrendous childhood
Thank you Jordan. I want to say that I think you handled this story very well. Your sensitivity to others was very nicely done. It is a truly horrible story about a very disturbed man. It's frightening to hear but it is a warning to always be aware and careful of your surroundings. And to trust your instincts about people that's really important!
This has always been a remarkably disturbing story. Ed was truly a very sick man. Amazing how such a lovely little town can be tainted for life. Thanks Jordan. ❤️Jodie 🇦🇺
There is another movie reference that you may have missed 'silence of the lambs'. There were referrals to ed gein in the movie. He was sicko in so many ways.
I did my psychiatric nursing school rotation at the institution where Ed was housed in Madison, WI. They didn't let the students anywhere near him. Great Brewers hat Jordon!!
Good job presenting a difficult topic, Jordan. The victims should be remembered with respect and dignity. Sad that Gein did not really pay for his horrific crimes.
ED was not evil. ED gein was mentally ill, ED is what happens when mental illness and isolation are left untreated. Places like Southern California are full of people like that.
Fascinating. I'm glad you posted this video. Human depravity is, unfortunately, quite interesting. In Ed Gein's case, it is about a psychopath more than about "evil." The Manson family murders, for example, were pure evil. This involved sickness---a very diseased mind and the terrible things that it can do. Don't apologize Jordan, it is a learning experience. Bad exists in the world---the thing to do is educate ourselves on how and why it takes place.
Thank you Jordan this is one crazy story , I don’t blame you for not wanting to walk on the farm I wouldn’t either .Unfortunately -(?)parents are often blamed when the childhood of a sociopath is looked at. Ed is a perfect recipe for a serial killer if you look at the abusive drunk father & the religious zealot mother. Perhaps she cracked from her life of childhood abuse herself. She seemed to want to beat any idea of sex or self love out of her boys. We don’t have much knowledge of Ed’s brother but something I have across the years gives me the memory that Ed’s brother had more of a personality. Ed was at least severely damaged and unable of course unable to ever find a female who would to date him, being lonely after his mom died ,he just dug his dates up from the cemetery. Totally horrifying still to this day gives me goosebumps thinking about Ed even though I read first about him in the years ago.
Jordan I am with you on the idea of there possibly being more remains. I read years back in I believe a Rolling Stone Magazine that the authorities found numerous people over the years breaking on to the property and digging holes apparently looking for more remains.
Plainfield is only 24 miles from where I grew up and now live. Too young to remember this, but it did affect my mom who grew up in a small town 15 miles away from where all this happened. Local people still don't want to talk about it even today. Nice to see you stopping by in my "backyard", Jordan!
Thank you Jordan for the story on this horrible guy. I had heard of this but it was fascinating to see the area. It would be very hard to do this video, but it was good to know this story thank you once again
This is like a horror story. I said the same thing, a mixture of psycho and Texas chainsaw massacre. Ed mother had some mental issues. People say she was a religious fanatic, but she was controlling. She was determined how her sons was raised. It was not normal the feelings Ed had for his mother, but neither was his mothers obsessive desire to control her sons. I think Ed was in love with his mother, maybe part of him was afraid of her and at the same time he associated her strict behavior as love. His brother made a mistake speaking I'll of the mother. Probally the only woman Ed ever loved.i believe Alledgley Ed killed his brother because he didn't like the way his brother was bad mouthing his mother. Maybe ed was born with a mental issue. If so his mother would not of accepted it and that caused ed to developed a unhealthy relationship with his mother. After Ed's mother died, he was trying to find a woman who would love him like his mother. That led him robbing graves trying to make the perfect companion. How people didn't see something was mentally wrong with Ed beats me. I think his own undiagnosed mental illness plus his mother obsessive controlling beliefs caused Ed to do what he did. Yes part of me blame Ed's mother. That relationship was not normal. I think his brother knew too. You are probally right, they probally only did so much, there was probally other bodies, they didn't bother to look for. There has to be some bad energy there. That house burning down was no mistake. I think it was intentional. Can't say I blame who ever did it. That land is tainted. To keep that house and make into a house of horror would been wrong. Karma and bad juju would of lead to more bad things happening. Jordan you was only stating facts. Hollowood make movies about true horror crimes. People become obsessed. So I'm glad the house burned down. Some people will never learn, you don't keep a place where horrible things happened. It's not natural. Love, respect and positivity always. Neita.✌🕯🖖💕🦋🌻🙏🙂👋👣.
Augusta Gein wanted a daughter she did not want sons. A girl she believed would be better more pious. But the thing i dont understand is she hated all women thought all of us where pure evil?
Didn’t he dig his mother up? Thought I had read something about him doing that after she died. Wearing her skin or making one of his shrunken skulls with her

Have you seen Psycho:The Lost Tapes of Ed Gein? A recording of Geins voice was discovered in 2019 and they play it during this docu-series. I think only episode 1 is out but it’s interesting.
Ive heard his story before and its funny to me that he was deemed ''insane' but yet knew enough to plan a murder and also to dig up deceased persons when the ground was still fresh. sociopath yes. I would imagine his Mother took care of everything and he didn't even have any idea how to do anything like pay bills, cook, take care of the house....then he probably just snapped. who knows.
I knew he was the inspiration for Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs. Lesser known to me was he was also the inspiration for Psycho and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Make sense. Ed Gein was one strange dude. I'm from Wisconsin not too far from Plainfield.
From the little ive read it seems you're right about Ed's institutional life. It seems he had a comfortable life there, just mundane and boring. He probably liked that tho.
Im a woman and i know the story of this family like the back of my hand.Edward needed help nobody cared about what he was doing until it was too late to stop him! his story is heartbreaking, his parents where pure evil! that Augusta Gein was a witch! and his father a abusive monstrious ass! do i believe he killed Henry it's a possibility but i also know he deeply admired his brother very much. I've read a lot about ED Gein's and you told the story in a respectful and honest way without the gore. Hats off to you. Well told. thanks
I greatly appreciate your honesty, Jordan. History is sometimes not pretty, but needs to be said for lessons to be learned. Well done, my friend.

Ed Geins domineering Mother sounds like the Mother in the movie Carrie
Showing the truly dark side of humanity helps you appreciate the good people that much more!
I loved that Ship Rock! Terrifing story about him. Well done Jordan!❤ to all! Safe travels$
A friend of mine had replaced the stone last year... Amazing how quickly it disappeared...
Seriously?? How does someone steal it? Its not exactly light to cary.

Hi Jordan, Apple pie with cheese is a real thing here in Wisconsin. I personally don’t like it, but my husband and his family do.
I Prefer Vanilla Ice Cream With My Apple 🍎 😋 Pie 🥧!!
Hi Jordan, what a messed up family. Well, he may not have been punished down here, but he will answer to someone higher. Great vlog Jordan
Apple pie topped with cheese is something that came from England in the 17th and 18th century. England is the birth place of cheddar cheese as well as apple pie. So I guess they thought it was good together. I never cared for it .
I live in Casco,wi area. You should do the 2 sistered killed years ago. They never found the killer.
You handled this subject matter well. I did not know about his gravesite.
The Haunted Museum here in Vegas has some of the tools he used on his victims. There's an entire Ed Gein room. A truly disturbed individual.
This story is fascinating , not only the story itself, but what followed this story, movies etc, on a personal note, i really sadly think he killed his brother to have his mother all to him self, real horror story.....thank you jordan for this story!
Great video…. I like the morbid stuff at times….. great to see Jai again…..👍👍
Very well done vlog. Gein was one of the serial killers I had to study as part of my law enforcement career. I’ve seen some crime scene photos that really turned my stomach.
How many have noticed the numbers engraved on the top of his tombstone? Yikes
Old Gein farm
Sounds like a RAD band name! 🤘🎸🤘🎸🤘🍻🍻
good one jordan !! I think he was mentally ill..literally mentally ill..very sad
Jordan thank you for sharing this story and video with us, this was such an a horriable crime and I am glad you were the one to tell it and I thank you and it was so nice to see jah.
What an evil monster he was, I do not believe he was insane, he knew what he was doing. Thank you for the history, as hard as it is to hear it. I agree that this is educational, letting people know what is out there, and how we need to pay attention to our areas and when we go shopping or to a restaurant. (anywhere, actually).
Actually Henry had met a girl and planned on starting a life with her. Bringing in an outsider was a no, no, and they figured that's why Ed may have killed him. And Ed joked about killing, but people thought it was just Ed being Ed. Little did they know.

Very sad story all around !! Thank you Jordon !!!❤😊😊
Thanks for sharing because this history per say is before my time buy about 20 years or so.
I have never understood why the town allowed him to be buried in the cemetery.
Thanks for showing Shiprock. What a cool place. I actually see another face on the other large rock. Looks like they are kissing to me.
