You obviously recognised Alissa, the other woman singing on this track is Elize Ryd from a band called Amaranthe. Both women toured with Kamelot before - one one legendary night when Kamelot (with the two women guesting) was opening for Nightwish, Nightwish lost their then lead singer to illness and with just 45 minutes notice Elize and Alissa got on stage to sing vocals for them. Elize had auditioned for the lead after Tarja exited the band, so she did know some of the songs. It still took an *enormous* amount of courage to do it though! That Elize would audition says a great deal about the quality and class of vocals she is able to produce.
Though Tommy is excellent, in my opinion he never had quite as much texture and expressivity in his voice as Roy Khan did Also, fun note: their keyboard player is married to Simone Simmons of Epica
Very happy to sub - I was drawn to your channel because I'm a Nightwish nut 😆. I'm so happy someone's covering Kamelot - so underrated and not covered by so many reactors out there. Tommy Karevik arguably has one of the best male voices in the last decade or so with his technique and range. They supported Nightwish in 2012, enough said! Before Tommy was Roy Khan who was equally as good as Tommy, if not better! I highly recommend their video 'Liar liar' featuring Alyssa again - you won't be disappointed. Kamelot have had 3 former lead vocalists, but this is the latest and current - Tommy Karevik from Sweden (my home country) and the beautiful woman is Elize Ryd from the Swedish metal band Amaranth. I love this one, and many others. Tommy's voice is so accurate and well adapted to Kamelot music. They've got a lot of good songs, but for something really sweet and soft, very different from what we usually listen to in metal, you can try "under grey skies" ft. another great woman voice in metal : Charlotte Wessels (previously front woman from Delain).

Kamelot is the main influence I.M.O. of the current Symphonic M scene: Bands like Seven Spires, AD Infinitum, Xandria, Delain, and of course EPICA. The previous singer is Roy Khan and this is Tommy Karevik. Both have done wicked colabs in the metal scene(check Ayreon). I can't recommend just one or two songs tbh. But there are some Lives gems on youtube like the Elizabeth saga.

All Kamelot, all the time. I'd put Kamelot and Nightwish as my co-favorite bands as another person commented. Liar Liar is a must listen, but really, pick a song, any song.
Tommy is one of my absolute favorite vocalists, just kills it every time. I prefer his band Seventh Wonder, though, particularly their albums Mercy Falls (very cinematic and emotional concept album), The Great Escape ( fun album whose title track is over 30 minutes long and inspired by Harry Martinson's epic poem Aniara), and Tiara (something of a sequel to the song The Great Escape). The Testament is good, too, but didn't quite do it for me the same way the others did.
