not really, the beat had potential i mean it was really good until the drop, which is the most important part lol the first bassline they did it was perfect idk why they changed it, maybe they thought it had to be trap for the purpose of the video? idk it just doesnt go. even if the beat of team 2 was boring, it was more consistent and solid

Ye I just don't think it was the judges vibe tbh ... it was clearly the better produced, better arranged and better all-round sounding track (at least imo), I think they liked the other more just because it would be easier to rap on, the first one stood up on it's own as a tune without rapping on it much better though i think (but these are all probably rap producers judging). All the low end of the chords in song two were all phasing in and out, it just sounded weird and a bit all over the place and too sparse to me. Way better than I could make at their age though tbf!

I'm a producer, I been playing various instruments, singing and writing lyrics and compositions most of my life (I'm 32 now) these producers were incredible!!! I have never studied music theory or taken instrument lessons, I suffered a lot the first 10 years playing music this way as no one I played with could relate they knew their music theory how to read sheet music and all that, but now that I've come into my own and stayed true to learning music by feel and by ear I really feel I can produce authentic fresh music for the world.
