Bought this chair for $90 on sale and I absolutely love it. It's not the greatest chair in the world but for the price it's worth it. I use it for work, gaming, or just lounging around watching TV. Been using it since May 2021!
A few things to note (I own the GT099 myself) if you're a first time game chair buyer. These use bucket seat designs (standard for most gaming chairs) so you're going to have a more restrictive seat space. This could pose issues for people with lower back problems (probably shouldn't be looking at gaming chairs anyway). The base and wheels are made of plastic. Would have been better if its was steel based with a plastic overlay but you get what you pay for. It's not really meant for long duration sitting. Also not recommend to sit with jeans on as the fabric is fairly cheap and can tear with prolonged sitting. I got the chair on sale when it was $119 for the color I wanted and it's been fine for its price so would still recommend if you want a budget gaming chair.

People go out of their way to explain what "height adjustment" means, and then they don't explain anything about the pillow system that, to my knowledge, has never appeared on any other chair type.

Unfortunately I’m a 5’6 dude weighing 135 pounds, the pros to this however is this chair kicks ass for me. Don’t know if I’d recommend it to someone of a heavier body type. I’ve had the chair for a little over a year and it still holds up very well, one thing you might wanna do if if you just bought it and don’t like the seat cushion just fight through it and break it in.
@@tai4425 Apologies for late response but the chair is great! It works perfectly for me. Only "problem" I've had is that the left arm rest wobbles quite a bit, but only when I think about it do I notice. Plus my left arm generally doesn't move.
I got this chair. Everything is good but the seat cushion. 1 it does not provide enough ventilation so my rear gets hot. 2 the padding on the seat maybe thick. However I have been using this just for a couple of weeks and already the cushion has a deep indention where my butt was. The lumbar pillow seems to be too stiff for my tastes. The neck pillow is perfect. This would be the ultimate chair if the seat part was cooler had memory foam ( it retains its original shape) rather than regular high density foam which deforms. I got this on sale for 145 plus free shipping to Hawaii from Amazon.
5'8 and Around 220 when I bought this a year ago; It held up pretty well but the Cushioning went away pretty fast, as of December 11 Bolts are very slowly falling out and having to put them in again as well as the wood slowly being exposed and the support slowly running out. For a solid year the chair is great but I think I might've lowered the life span of the chair by me throwing myself on the chair. During the summer the Leather is the worst, especially if you're wearing shorts. Overall; 6/10. I wished it could've went longer then a year and a half but for that long you could possibly have enough to upgrade to something more stronger.
Do you think the pillow rests disturb/negatively affect your sitting posture? Also, do you think the chair would still be comfortable for people who are shorter than the recommended height?
To answer your questions: The pillows are quite low profile, and don't force you to sit a certain way. I use both of them, which is saying a lot. In terms of size, if you're smaller than the recommended specs, your feet may start to dangle off the chair. A footrest would fix that issue. Everything else about the chair will still fit you fine.
I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone. My girl friend bought me this chair. It is by far the most uncomfortable chair I've ever sat in. I've loosened the tilt tension knob to as loose as it can possibly go, and it's still ridiculously difficult to get the chair to rock back to a comfortable position. The chair leans forward, not overtly, but just enough to make you feel like you're constantly being pushed out.
I’ve had this problem since I got my Gtracing gaming chair only a week ago. Although I’ve been looking for ways to fix it and i found once I tightened the tension knob to as tight as it would go who’s seemed to help a bit, although I had also read from a Reddit thread that unscrewing and flipping the metal base under the chair itself would help aswell, however I tried this and it was unfortunately to no avail.

Trust me i've been there where i've watch plenty of youtube review, and initially when i buy it it felt perfect. I've used this for 3 years, the base wheel made up of plastic is broken and the seat base gets saggy aftertime. I weight 70-75kg and use this chair 8-9 hours per day. Try asking those people who own this chair after 2-3 years if the seat base gets saggy after 2-3 years?
That's a legitimate point. We'll do a one year update on the GTRacing when that comes. FYI with a little DIY, things like the base and piston can be replaced for really cheap on Amazon and elsewhere.
M-roy22 looking for one and have seen this the GT Racing chair as the best seller on amazon. I was thinking of getting a blue one? Do you think that’s a good idea.
I just bought this chair on walmarts black friday sale, paid $99 + tax for it, we shall see what I think of it, I go to pick it up next monday, kind of excited, I've been sitting on a "deflated" computer chair for almost 10 years due to not having the almost $200 the chairs by me cost....hopefully the wheels don't snap on it tho, as the supports don't look too sturdy, I plan to sit in this at the computer and at my knitting/ crocheting table
I weigh around 210 and find the seat to be uncomfortable after short/medium lengths of time. I also wish it had the ability to lock at various degrees of seat angle recline. Thanks to this video I know now that it can even recline though, I was bummed that (I thought) it didn't have this feature.
So would this chair work for someone thats super short? I'm only 5'2" and need something I can sit in for many hours a day. I appreciate everyone's help!
When the chair is rocked back 10 degrees or so with the back rest at 90 degrees for example, will the chair lock? I hope you understand my question. In your review, it sounds like the chair only locks when the chair is not rocked.
I guess I was more interested in how the seat of the chair angles. In other words, when you rock back, will the seat lock in the 10 degree angle you are in?
Hey man I was wondering if you could answer this question since Amazon couldn’t. I have a desk that’s 29’ tall and was wondering the height of the armrests on the lowest setting. I’m just curious to know if the armrests will fit under the desk saving me more space when I’m not using it
Is the metal base plate supposed to be wobbly forward and back and slightly side to side while locked? It won’t stay still when I have it locked and I’m sitting on it.It’s been like that since I got it but I can’t tell it it’s supposed to be like that.
My boyfriend is about 5'10 and 140 lb. I was considering this gaming chair or the respawn 110. Simply because the respawn seems comfier. Can you tell me which you recommend? He games up to 12 hours at a time
In the $130 price range the gtracing chair is probably your best bet. In the $170 range try the kcream gaming chair. Testing it out now and very impressed with the quality.
I'm wondering if when you lean back reclining not putting the back down but just the general reclining backwards sitting if it's really hard or if it reclines backs easy
Yes. DX Racer chairs which I assume these are inspired by can be anywhere from $300 to $500. Secret Lab which makes really high quality chairs, some even themed after movies and games can be $300 to $800 depending on the leather and the size.
No had this for around a year and it will both kill your ass and your back. This chair is cheap trash. Invest in an ergonomic office chair. Gaming chairs are a scam and so is this vid.

M-roy22 looking for one and have seen this the GT Racing chair as the best seller on amazon. I was thinking of getting a blue one? Do you think that’s a good idea.
yo we have the same stats
Is there any difference between this and the model with the footrest? Or is it the same thing just with a footrest?
It's the same
I just bought this chair on walmarts black friday sale, paid $99 + tax for it, we shall see what I think of it, I go to pick it up next monday, kind of excited, I've been sitting on a "deflated" computer chair for almost 10 years due to not having the almost $200 the chairs by me cost....hopefully the wheels don't snap on it tho, as the supports don't look too sturdy, I plan to sit in this at the computer and at my knitting/ crocheting table
I was thinking about getting that one. That’s why I came to see a review on it. I’m around 280 pounds.😢
Good review. Straight to the point. 👍🏾
Thanks for the review, im getting it next week
I weigh around 210 and find the seat to be uncomfortable after short/medium lengths of time. I also wish it had the ability to lock at various degrees of seat angle recline. Thanks to this video I know now that it can even recline though, I was bummed that (I thought) it didn't have this feature.
Thanks for putting together this detailed review.
Thanks, very good review. 🔥❗️
Awesome video! I think you just sold me on this chair.
Did u get it? And is it good?
@@stacksack6060 Yea I ended up getting it and I really enjoy it so far.
I just got one of these from the side of the road in perfect condition
Lol same...just found one at the side of the road and that's why I'm here
I love it. I just got mine yesterday.
How is it? I'm thinking of asking for one for Christmas. Don't mind my name, god it's like 5 years old and this account has been inactive heh.
@@tropicalgamertv2090 man I’ve never been this comfortable in a chair, lol I used to use old recliners and computer chairs this is worth it
I’m 5’11 170 so this is perfect
Did you get it? If so how does it feel? I’m exact height and weight as you.
I love it! So much better than my old chair
I'm watching this AFTER I bought
I just bought it I am so excited for it to come
Compared to my 8 year old hand me down office chair this seems like a well worth it purchase
I am eleven and I feel same
@@yo97112 I don’t know what ur age has to do with but good for you buddy
Just bought the chair for $90 on Amazon. Nice chair.
228 pounds and 6'2 the chair is comfortable but the bottom does feel like it needs a little more cushion. 8/10 rating for me.
So would this chair work for someone thats super short? I'm only 5'2" and need something I can sit in for many hours a day. I appreciate everyone's help!
Yes
Im 6'4 275 and this chair works wonderfull and is comfortable asf
Just got it today then I found your vid😅 thank you. And I loved it
I have a very uncomfortable plastic chair and I need this chair now 😭
I just ordered this, I can’t wait to get rid of this old office chair I currently have.
Do you think the seat cushioning will feel comfortable for someone in 120-130 pound range for around 3-9 hours of continuous sitting
Yes, your body weight is well within the range for the cushions to be supportive
Bro ty for making this review. You really sold it
Where is that squeak coming from? I'm pretty sure some WD-40 could fix that right up!
I don’t know about you but when I see GTRacing I think it’s GT RACING NOT G TRACING.
When the chair is rocked back 10 degrees or so with the back rest at 90 degrees for example, will the chair lock? I hope you understand my question. In your review, it sounds like the chair only locks when the chair is not rocked.
Not sure I understand. However, basically the tilting can be locked at any angle, so the backrest becomes stiff. This is different from the recline.
I guess I was more interested in how the seat of the chair angles. In other words, when you rock back, will the seat lock in the 10 degree angle you are in?
When you rock it back, can you lock it in place so it stays rocked back?
a "guy i know" is 6 foot 3 inches and 307 pounds and this chair holds him just fine. Great chair.
Hey It is now 2 years later so how is the chair now
Good review thanks a lot might pick me up one a these bad boys lol
so say for $250 or less, what’s your go to gaming chair? I’m 6 ft 185
I can't figure out how to lock it from rocking. I push in that lever like you said and nothing happens.
Hey man I was wondering if you could answer this question since Amazon couldn’t. I have a desk that’s 29’ tall and was wondering the height of the armrests on the lowest setting. I’m just curious to know if the armrests will fit under the desk saving me more space when I’m not using it
Like the height from the ground to the armrests.
What’s the height from the arm rest to the floor on the highest setting?
71 cm
Anda seat jungle or this one? Haven't try both but which one is better? GT RACING is slightly ($40) less than Anda Seat Jungle
The only Anda Seat chair we've reviewed so far is their Big and Tall (Kaiser II), so can't really give you a good answer Sorry.
The bar to lock the tilt doesn't line up with the hole for me for some reason.
I'm wondering if when you lean back reclining not putting the back down but just the general reclining backwards sitting if it's really hard or if it reclines backs easy
Wow! Nice Gaming Chair review
me wondering how the hell he didn’t fall back when bending the chair
😂
Yo dude mine stays locked in the fixed setting not allowing me to freely rest back... I feel like I wasted my money.
I'm pretty sure it is pronounced GT Racing, but I could care less how anyone pronounces it
I like how you corrected how he said the name then absolutely butchered the “I **couldn’t** care less” lol
@@patricksmith993 lol, I posted that comment 10 months ago I no longer have the personally of: 🤓
I've had it for s few years now but after awhile the padding in the backrest wears out and ends up getting cut through by the bars in the back
I'm 100kg... is this a chair for me?
Damn this chair is around the $160 range and it’s a cheap chair ?
Yes. DX Racer chairs which I assume these are inspired by can be anywhere from $300 to $500. Secret Lab which makes really high quality chairs, some even themed after movies and games can be $300 to $800 depending on the leather and the size.
Me watching this video while chilling in the GTRacing gaming chair:
is this chair good for back support? planning on buying this chair or looking into ergonomic chairs
No had this for around a year and it will both kill your ass and your back. This chair is cheap trash. Invest in an ergonomic office chair. Gaming chairs are a scam and so is this vid.
