2 or 3 of everything Never sell your tools
Great Advice 👍🏼
Razor blades top of the list
As always I really enjoyed the episode. Can’t wait to see what is in the works after the road trip. Be safe.
Awesome !just got hired a couple months ago doing bodywork and wanted to start investing in myself
Bificals, brilliant!
Good work you are doing.
Great segment, love the B personally I don’t mind when people do upgrades as long as they can be put back to original at some point if need be and yes I like the body in it’s original condition.
Would love to hear from Jims' guys, his friends, associates and fellow U-toobers!
We all miss him and his great personality!
Badass cars guys!!! Awesome stuff!!!
Perfect. Exactly what I needed to know. Just started school. Thanks for the info
Great rundown on basic tools, thanks mate :).
Great episode Jim 👏👏👏
Keep em coming
Beautiful Bee!
Awesome video, just getting into the trade. Honest and straight forward. Keep up the good work.
Hey! Carpenters need a good touch too...especially with trim work!
Great video! Thank you!
...and yes...never sell your tools👍
Great stuff
Great info in your video. I have a 1972 Olds cutlass, first car I ever owned and drove to high school 12 years ago. Been sitting for many years now I can't stand looking at it sit anymore and been considering trying to tackle some of the restoration myself. Just don't want to get ahead of myself and go in blind. Appreciate you taking the time and giving your Knowledge. Definitely getting a sub from me
Thank you for making this video. It’s was really helpful. ☝️💪😇
It's been several months since we lost Jim..
His info and personality is and will be greatly missed
I got some high density foam scraps from an upholstery shop. Didn't cost me anything. Make excellent sanding blocks for certain contours. Also buy hardwood trim (Maple or Walnut) from Lowes and glue foam or rubber for the appropriate job.
Ok got it beer 🍺 those are the basic tools man I need more beer
Agree 100%
Great video. I agree once bought never sell as I did when broke. I buy the best I can afford. I'll buy good used before I'll buy new cheap. Iwata spray guns before Harbor freight. Hutchins air sanders, used off eBay before new made in China. Thanks for the excellent video.
Rip Jim
I been doing body work for 3 weeks now at a high-volume body shop self-thought with harbor freight tools when I started there were 4 guys now it's just me, I don't know if I am really this good, but I want to get more involved with high impact repairs, I am thinking at least a post and a frame table would be nice. lets go
Need to get me a mud hog. My Hutchins Hustler (straight line sander) was always easy to control until my helper ran it into a dead end and I think it threw it out of timing. I do agree the straight line sander does have a tendency to cut waves in the filler. Ingersoll Rand makes a reasonably priced mud hog. Anyone tried or uses one? Otherwise I'm looking for a used Hutchins. They aren't cheap but they sure are sweet.
Hey guys, what's the Intro/Outro music, it's awesome 🔥🎵🎶🎵🔥
Video Dan writes/ performs/records the intro/outro, "I'm on my way" was written and performed by my son in law, Billy Chandler. Billy has been playing and performing for years and has recorded many, many songs. As time goes on, we will have more of his music on the show
@@bennettshotrodgarageclassi7068 yep, see if you can get him on your show to play live 🔥👍
Damn Chrysler and their orange cars! I was looking for a Charger...soon as i pulled my 02 LeSabre into the lot there it is..an 08 Charger Daytona R/T..Hemi Orange...i knew i was buying it before i had my car in park lol.
That's how it works!
😎👌✌👍🖖😁
HEY!! I’ve been a carpenter!?! 😂 what’s that suppose to mean? 🤷🏼♂️😂
EXELENTE YHANKS GOD BLASS TOU
Directional air sander or dual action sander
which angle grinder was that in the video
Get that %$@#% drink off the tool cart! lol
Would u buy harbor freight hammers
I thought DA stood for dual action
Me looking for that guy that raps it all up on a list 😭
Never sell your tools, and watch who you loan tools too. Lastly keep them out of storage! Life happens 😌
U guys still looking for 1 more!?
Definitely not a few hundred in tools btw
I'm sorry but you lost me with the Superbee. What you're doing to that car shows complete disrespect and disregard for the cars heritage.
If you want to reinvent the wheel, start with a simple Coronet and then make it whatever you want.
This is the kind of blatant butchery I expect from Motor Trend or Power Nation or any of the other "Look At Me" channels on RUclips.
Mr. Bennett, PLEASE be better than that.
sorry you disapprove, but we do as we are asked. I think blatant butchery is a bit extreme. we still have all the original parts and haven't "butchered" anything. if it was a "look at me" project, It would have been left stock
@@bennettshotrodgarageclassi7068 Mr Bennett, it's a matter of taste and class. Making modifications and upgrades to a car like your Superbee is fine, as long as they fit the era and spirit of that wonderful survivor.
Well chosen Day 2 style additions and carefully hidden electronic modifications are fine and acceptable by nearly everyone.
But, tarting up a car like that with donk wheels and digital gauges is just wrong.
If I have to explain it to you, it's something you are incapable of understanding.
@@ericlandstrom6155 well, let me make two points. The first is that they are not "donk" wheels, they are 17 inch versions of magnum 500's and with the tires I've chosen are the exact diameter of the stock wheel and tire package. The name of the company making the gauges is Dakota digital. They are sweep gauges, just as the original, but digitally operated, not green glowing digital readouts, that would frankly be hideous. I'm sorry you don't like the project, and you are entitled to your own opinion of what taste and class are, we obviously differ on those points. It will be very difficult for anyone to spot any of the changes we are making, because i also believe updating mechanicals while honoring the cars place in history are important factors in any build.
