I appreciate you adding railings and edges to these stairs. So many times I just see collapsible stairs , but nothing to help you hold on to them. I also like how you created them to be light weight, so even children or weaker adults (like seniors or those like me who don't have a lot of muscle mass) can still move it to where we might need it to be.
Don't expect any one else other than a 150 lb adult to climb them. They are to steep for both children and dogs if you have those. Cats may be able to count them but they won't be comfortable going down at such an angle. And also it's not going to be able to carry the weight of say you and a laundry basket or if you are trying to move a bed upstairs you can't use this ladder as the angle is too steep.
Probably an accordion type of door on the upper floor is connected to the handle rail of the folding stairs. So when the stairs is folded, the door gets closed... And when the stairs is unfolded, the door gets opened. These actions can be done at either ends of the stairs.

Have these stairs been tested with repeated stress? I can't see unbraced hinges lasting that long under normal use. That chair would also definitely wear out fast because it doesn't even have hinges. It just bends. Hinges can be replaced and maintained, but natural fibers can only keep their elasticity for so long.

I like the stairs. I only see two down sides.
1) you can get stuck, if someone folds the stairs from downstairs.
2) you have an hole in ceiling/floor.
I'd imagine the weight limit is a tiny % of a actual stairs or ladder but it's a cracking design.
