Hi Bhavna! Your recipes are very accurate as far as measurement. It's just common sense to add/omit according to your taste/preference. You are doing great...
Hi Bhavna Wow, first video ever for this recipe. Love it! Very informative...Thank you for your hard work. I definitely have to show this video to all my friends. Great Job as always.
Hi Bhavna great video enjoyed it very much just confused with one thing?Your cup measurement is not clear because i need weight like grams so if want to make 200gm fafda what will be the other measurements? I love your accent its really cute ....thanks.

Hi Bhavna, you are right. I like your straight forward, clear pesonality. I am surprised how did Pinkal2all think you added more oil while we only saw four times as well. And I did make fafda with your recipe adding only 4 tbsp oil, and they were exactly looking like you. Unfortunately, I can't post the image. Otherwise I would have shown. To be hones, I tried many recipe from the net for fafda, not any singel recipe gave me result like yours.
if i want to use baking soda how much i got to use in 1 cup besan............how many fafda approximately i can make out of 1 cup besan....pls ans this Q....thanks lot for teaching me how to make fafda.......u rock.
I have two cooks under me from Bardoli town itself . Shilpaben Patel does not know if Sancholo is papad khar. Any how I will keep trying to know more desi ,colloquial names. Thanks for replying .
Bhavna, First, thanks for sharing your recipes. Second, the knife you are using can be substituted in the US with a normal steel ruler. Most of them are thin enough to work.
Fafdas we buy from local farsan shop has no bubbles on top and it is given with some yellow colored chutney, what is it ? Can you share popular accompniments that go with that go with most of gujrati snacks/ savouries. Thanks.
Hi My name is chandni I have been watching your videos from last one month. You are doing really great job.. I have something to ask don't you put papadiyo kharo or soda in fafda? I have one request please post jalebi and tikho khichdo (not Khichdi) recipe if you know. Thanks
Really well presented recipe. I would agree. It is really popular. difficult to prepare. Easier to purchase it on a Sunday with hot Jilebees for breakfast!!

I was searching fafda recipe n I found this! So funny. I already try so many of it recipes n today I introduced my mom to u. We tried this recipe and they turned out sooo tasty. We had to use velan patli though that pressing method didn't wrk. My mom was just asking that y u didn't put baking soda, bcz so many ppl do. But nw we knw its nt needed, thy turned out perfect!
Neeesha90 I did add soda called Papad kharo and it is mixed of soda, salt and something else that I have not much idea about it but it is used widely in gujju cooking.
Sorry to puncture your Baloon but Sanchal is not Papad Khar or papadkharo. Sanchal is Rock salt and papad khar is another type of mined salt primarily used in Rajasthan and Gujarat to give a super taste and volume increase to Papads. Papad khar also reduces stickiness of papads.
The other Lady who is not from Bardoli but Bharuch , confirmed that they also call Papad Kharo as Sancholo. You are right Ms. Bhavana. You stand vindicated Madam. . Thanks for being patient.
for making fafda using direct hacksaw blade is not good cos it has ruff sharpens not like bhavna used in her video it has to be sharpen again on rolling grinder or other sharpen tool to remove original ruff sharpness of hacksaw blade & in foreign its hard i guess
saima V Actually, lot of confusion here. We Gujarati call Sanchoro to papad kharo and I know that Sanchar and Sanchoro is different. For this recipe, I use Papad kharo.
Wow . My first response would have been "MARRY ME". But we are both happily married, just not to each other....too bad . LOL. God one since you are not using any kind of soda, or baking powder. BTW the knife you are using is easily available in hardware stores. Its a basic hack saw blade.
Not yet but will sure post soon.
Yes, they are crispy like grain chips.
Thanks for sharing all gujarati recipes it's really a big help to gujrati people like us away from country and missing gujarati food.thanks again
