Gigi has multiple vocal qualities that are each very hard to acquire and deliver: perfect pitch, on-point timing, high notes, low notes, vibrato, growl, silky transitions, proper diction and enunciation of vowels and syllables, runs and riffs, breath control, a variety of trained accents, and familiarity with several music genres and music eras.
What more if she’s up singing!! She’s sitting down while singing and it’s still looked easy for her! Proud for being Filipino here. Thanks for doing this reaction video!! 👌
Gigi has a unique tone -- smokey, vintagey, jazzy crooner type that has that rock, metallic vibe to it when she hits her highs. Unique voice and that sexy swag are what set her apart among contemporary female PH singers. She's definitely a fave along with Elaine Duran. Check out her Dianne Reeves' "Better Days" cover, if you haven't yet.
Being a Filipino myself Gigi is one of the Philippines' pride and hearing commentators like you saying good words and praises for her makes my heart swell with happiness.

Long time ago, singers has to satisfy Through The Fire, to provide Justice to the song to prove that there's indeed a talent. I remember no other than Gidget De Llana with the song but the music dynasty didn't give the emphasis that they themselves set but Gigi De Lana remained in our memories with so much respect for her talent. Yes, the tests of time, but with her true talent and meaningful ability to sing, she is slowly gaining back the local music industry acceptance that obviously denied her the recognition for many years. Music is neither the product of envy by grudges nor suppression by deprivation. Music is what binds the minds, the emotions, and the cultural differences between men and nature together in harmony.

@@chrishart2277 yeah. They did an interview together and they sing some parts of Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita which Gigi set a trend and a difficult vocal challenge. Mori was like jokingly said "don't make the notes higher okay *laughs*". I love that moment ❤️😂

I'm a Kat Velarde fan, but I just cannot get enough of this performance. Gigi has this smoky, almost Karen Carpenter feel to her voice, with one distinct difference. Unlike the great Karen, Gigi can flip into what feels like a rock chics voice. It's insane. "Through the fire" is done. Dusted. That's her song forever. No need for anyone else to attempt that song again 🤯💥

She has some originals, a tiny bit of rap and many amazing covers. Her blind audition to The Voice Kids Ukraine was covering Stone Cold by Demo Lovato. She was also on America;s Got Talent and The Worlds Best. It seems that Dimash dropped out of this competition, in order to give the younger kids a better chance, including Daneliya, who who knows .
