I could easily picture her singing that song in a 1970's film in a Las Vegas lounge. Definitely has that jazzy feel to it. I would love to hear her sing a different genre. That Vegas nightclub sound is not my thing but her voice is spot on. Very smooth & crisp when need be.
The growth Gigi’s voice has! She was already gooooood before, but she tends to be inconsistent then. But now is a different story! She’s one of the more technical singers out there and her versatility is off the charts! 💜
I love your analysis of Gigi. Here voice is what I would describe as clean and so powerful. I do feel like she is holding back a little bit and if she allows herself to sing freely that she could be a generational talent. Btw, you are gorgeous!!!

But then, you noticed something I missed when, near the end, you wondered whether she took a breath/pause during her full blown belting section. I totally missed that. Thank for pointing that out. For me, she is treasure the Philippines has during the pandemic. Good reaction!

I thought it was a very good effort. I was missing a lot of the raw heart felt interpretation by legendary Chaka Khan, but as the song progressed, it went from a very jazzy sound into this very impressive pop rock ending with amazing head voice control

I've watched her video like 5 times but the next song is my favorite. Her "piano in the dark " rendition is one of the best cover for me.
