You haven't seen any bad times in Russia. I was born in the USSR and have always been immersed in political life. I clearly remember all the events, I know by name who plunged the great country into dark times and poverty and who fixed everything after. So it’s strange for me to see any doubts about personalities.
KGB officials destroyed the country in the USSR, and now KGB officials are destroying the country again. Have you never asked yourself why Putin hangs his left arm, that's how you learn to walk in the KGB. His entire environment consists of old KGB officers.
You have seen the bad times yet forget that the IMF bailed out Russia after the collapse, also Western technologies and expertise which allowed Russia to develop their resources, once the gangsters got hold of all that cash though they misused it and certainly kept much within their own circles instead of developing more infrastructure for the benefit of the nation and its people, now as a result of the imperialistic path it chose it pushes the West away, the West won't bail it out next time and China certainly isn't the BFF some Russians think it is. Russians will get what they voted for, feel bad for all those younger progressive Russians whos hopes are dashed against the new iron curtain.
My experience pretty much. I remember 1998 vividly, the height of "free world" loving and embracing Russia, the height of our self doubt and self deprecation, and the sudden strike of poverty. Then Yugoslavia happened, never have I felt such despair and embarrassment for my country, we should have intervened, all be damned. Then Putin happened, and I wish him the strongest health and resolve. There's hope now, the vision for the future. A lot to do, a lot to build, nothing of that can be done or built by people organizing "protests", all they can do is smear and destroy, never in their miserable lives they've done anything constructive.
No worries Nesty, I think it was Mark Twain, an American more than a hundred years ago that said, " if voting changed anything they wouldn't let us do it !". I am more than chuffed though that the opportunity inspired you to make a new video!. Thank you ❤.

Fascism in a country that is known as the most multicultural, multi-religious, multi-national country on the entire globe with over 300 different nations in it which are all living as one people. Yeah, sounds like fascism. You ever wondered why it's called FEDERATION? It was a good idea to move away from St Petersburg. Had you stayed there you would most likely ended up in jail. Cause if there is one thing which can get you in jail for any political reason in Russia - is when you are absolutely brain dead. Cause you really need to try very hard to get into jail in Russia for something like this. And it seems like you could've achieve that with ease. Of all people that were detained in Russia since 2022, there were only close to 500 cases when they were jailed. In UK for example, in the same period over 3000 of people were jailed for posts in social media. Mostly for woke reasons. I bet you wasn't even aware of that. It wasn't a good idea to drop education, you know. Especially in a country with mostly free or affordable education. You should've used that chance.

The problem is that there is no really good alternative. We, who lived through shitstorm of 90-s with all the "liberal democrats" wreaking havoc around the country, with economy falling apart, fantastic hyperinflation speeding up, a lot of street crime, gangs of gopniks and nazis in the streets - we don't want it back. Those kids who were born since 1999 believe that we - people who think conservatively and who are not fond of pro-western opposition - so we are somehow braiwashed, afraid or just narrow-minded. But we also were young and had great ideas on how world should be organized. Once you've grown older though, you start to realize how naive and shallow were opinions back in your youth. My family is experiencing third war as a result of USSR collapse. First one was the Tajikistan civil war - where from we fled after collapse of Soviet Union, orcestrated by "Liberal Democrats". We fled from the local nationalist forces who were advancing and killing everyone, especially ethnical Russians. Then my uncle got conscripted to Chechnia war. Now I live near the Ukraine border and experience for last 10 years the more and more outcomes of a ethnical civil war going there. There is also a never-ending ongoing conflict between Armenia and Azerbaidjan, and growing nationalist contradictions in the Baltic countries. All of mentioned - the direct results of "progressive and liberal policies" of late 80-s and 90-s. Therefore, we, adult and senior Russians, will not even think about voting for the “opposition” unless we are forced to do so by violence.

While your “bosses” may encourage voting, for example to come to the polling stations, you can always say that it’s none of anyone’s business, and it’s against the law. Also, I participate in vote counting at the end of election days, and our school's results have consistently mirrored the general outcome. And as for taking photos and videos at our polling station, people freely take photos and videos without any issues, Maybe it varies from place to place. I'm from Saint Petersburg, by the way. Even with all the sanctions and the situation in Ukraine, I gotta say, I haven't felt any problems or seen crime and chaos like back in the '90s. At least, that's been my personal experience. And you know what? Everything the West did just encouraged a lot of people to vote for Putin (with all the sanctions, double standards, russophobia). It's so strange - the EU and the US loved Yeltsin, who almost destroyed Russia (what an embarrassing first president and a drunkard), but for some reason, they can't stand Putin, who made Russia stronger and more united. Plus, he brought Crimea and its people back to the historic homeland. Very strange! Yet another reason to vote for Putin 😂

Lol old man you are ill-informed. Soviet union run out of money cause communism is a joke so there was never this great country you dream about.

I've been working at the polling station since 2015 and at school since 2009. From my own experience, I can assure you that no one forces you to vote for Putin or any specific candidate. And yeah, I voted for Putin, no surprises there. Born in '86, I lived through the '90s, so I've seen the progress firsthand. Nesty, on the other hand, didn't experience the '90s, so she might not get just how lucky she is.
These were the least free elections I have ever seen.
Crimea once was turkish..🇹🇷 Well, osmanic empire...Just saying..🤣🤣
I am almost 50 years old. I have never voted for Putin. But this time I gave my vote for him. You said it right. Complete disappointment at the lies of the West.
@@martinkasper197 You're right, but that doesn't fit into the great Russian hero stories, but they're full of lies anyway, the great Russian Empire was ruled by Germans (Katarina the Great) for a long time because the Russians themselves weren't capable.
@@andrejaga3003 You are as free as a rabbit in a box. 😚
From what I learn in my country the biggest mistake for any voter is to assume who will be the winner without even voting. If the remaining 40% voted for the opposition that would give a legitimate voice on the other hand if they voted for Putin it means he is doing something right for the Russians.
He had a 70 percent approval raeting. That's why his win wasn't a surprise for anyone.
@@fatherofchristmas Nobody would tell the truth in a vote if they could go to prison for it, how naive do you have to be.
@@bjorndebar8361 I'm not naive. I know a lot about Russia. Russia didn't start to exist in 2022. Commts like yours could only work on those who learned about a country named Russia two years ago.
@@bjorndebar8361Give me a single case where someone was sent to jail for simply saying that he/she doesn't like Putin. Name me one.
@@someperson1829 People have gone to prison for holding white paper in the air. Do you want to deny that? There are countless videos, are they all fake? You are welcome to try to deceive people in Russia, we westerners can process information.
Really miss Russia. was born there in Presnensky district Moscow. missing the metro a lot.
young people who do not know the troubles. I lived under Gorbachev and Yeltsin and I see how the country has improved during Putin's rule. And if the West scolds Putin, then he is doing everything right.
Thanks so much for sharing this with us! And - your sense of humour is much appreciated :)
Cringe but free!
The battle cry of agents everywhere! 😂
