What am I going to watch on a Sunday morning now? 😢 watching you guys has become my morning routine. However, I think Marianne has gained the worlds most experienced driver award 😂
I'm crying like most people here, I'm angry that Trudy was stolen from again, but also crying from all the emotions of this finale. Thank you for taking us along on your journey and I can't wait to see where you both will take us next. Welcome Home. Much love from Florida.
I can't understand how your shipping companies can't trace the crew members and do the companies have insurance or do you need your insurance to cover these incidents? Welcome home. I wish you happy and safe future travels. Gail, Czech Republic ❤️
Greetings from a cold, wet South Africa 🇿🇦 (yet spring has just started 🤷♂️). Wow, wow, wow. OMG, what a finale to an epic journey. Chesca from Overlanding Sophia has wonderfully summed it all up. Chris and Marianne have taken us all on an amazing journey. @ 2.26min "I wouldn’t be surprised if it snowed here".......guess what Chris...... the N3 toll road that you guys traveled on from Johannesburg to Durban was literally closed for the past two days due to heavy snowfalls. Many cars and trucks were trapped in that snow. Roads have just been reopened today (Sunday). I am very sorry that your belongings were stolen. However, that didn't rob you of an amazing grand finale. You guys are blessed. Chris......Mariaane is a special girl..... and so is Trudy 😂. Thank you once again for this amazing epic journey that you guys took us along. I wish both of you all the best for your future endeavors. Take care, and God bless
Wow! I am so angry for you, that they literally cleaned Trudy out 😡 Do you know where that happened? At the Durban port or on board the ship? Bloody infuriating!! Such an absolute invasion of privacy! But, having said all that.... you are both incredibly forgiving people and just simply bounce back 😊 What an example you are. I'm sure you're happy and relieved to be back in your home country safe and sound 👏 The feeling of accomplishment and success must be amazing 🎉🏅🏆 Trudy must surely be the 🌟 of the show, having only suffered minor injuries 😅 Epic travels indeed!! 😎
Just watched this video in Melbourne Australia. I'm sitting here on my lounge crying my eyes out. I feel like I've just lost my best friend. Thank you for taking us all along on your epic journey. It's been a privilege and an honour to be part of this all. Thank you for the memories, I actually got my sisters hooked on watching you guys. It all started in Turkey 🇹🇷 when I stumbled across you guys on RUclips. Ever since then I haven't missed a show. My background is turkish, so seeing so much of Turkiye was awesome Thank you for getting me through the horrible lockdown times here in Melbourne and across the world. I'm going to miss you guys. Please come visit Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 Can't thank you enough for allowing us all to be apart of such a wonderful journey. Im still crying 😢 you guys are "Simply the best" Sonay xx 😘
Did you know that the N3...the last main road you drove to get to Durban.... 50:40 had to be closed yesterday (21 September 2042) because of heavy snow ❄️! Many vehicles were stranded for a night and day! Congratulations for getting to the end successfully 🎉 Best wishes for the future.
Welcome home, 😢😢😢 I am crying my eyes out. Started watching from Istanbul, all the way from Cape Town, South Africa. This is my thing on a Sunday morning with hubby in bed... Thank you for making our morning ❤
Thanks to all three of you for taking us with you on your round the world trip. It has been amazing. My Sunday mornings won't be the same, not having one of your great reports to read. Thank you Chris, thank you Marianne, and the biggest thanks to Trudy. We love you all.
Chris and Marianne. A huge THANK YOU. Thank you for having me along on your awesome journey. I started watching by accident when you were in San Antonio, Texas. My home town. And I’ve been with you ever since. I have truly, truly enjoyed this adventure. Kudos to the two of you for even trying such a grand undertaking. You are a great couple. God bless you and keep you safe. 💜💜
Chris,Marianne and most importantly Trudy from nearly the start I stumbled across your channel and have watched religiously ever since….the most amazing trip by two of the most genuine people on You tube…..even I was crying at the end! Such an inspiration to dare to dream and make it happen. Cannot wait for the future plans…..To quote Marianne all 3 of you are “ROCK STARS”. God bless and thank you.
Congratulations on your round-the-world achievement. I also want to thank you for your travels through Africa. Born in Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe, seeing Victory Falls, stayed in Livingston and Choma Northern Rhodesia, now called Zambia where I grew up as a child for a few years, then spending 26 years in Zimbabwe, then living in South Africa for 17 years. I miss Africa terribly, and you brought hope to me again after loosing my wife in May 2020. I can’t wait for your next adventure, and just to let you know that I am now living in the U.K. West Midlands, blessings Chris and Marianne
Thank you Chris and Marianne for taking us along your travels. Thank you for the lovely community you have built up with this channel. I have enjoyed both the viewing and reading of the comments.
Chris and Marianne, if you knew how much optimism and solace you provided during the crazy covid times you'd be amazed. I was working all the time through covid, and you helped me get over the stressful times. The time you spent in Turkey showed the country like I've never seen. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I only became aware of you 2 once you arrived in SA. I will watch all your videos before you arrived here and I have so many suggestions for your next South African adventure. The World in 1 Country Tour!!! Congrats on achieving a dream most people have, but are unable to achieve. So many can live vicariously through all your travels and experiences. You guys are a true inspiration! Thank you for your contineous positivity and amazing attitudes throughout. If you need a friend + historical guide you visit SA again...pick me!!!
Your vlog perfectly captures the excitement and bittersweetness of returning after such an adventure! ♥ Can't wait to see how you reflect on your travels and what the next chapter holds! 🛣🚐
Dearest Chris and Marianne, you "popped up" on my RUclips when you were already in South Africa ... and the pull was so strong, I started binge-watching you from the beginning of your trip. And here I am, along with everyone else, laughing and crying at the same time. You are immensely inspiring, a real power couple who have taken so many of us to places we would never have seen and lived experiences we would never have. The biggest thank you in the world, you two! (Marianne, you are an iron lady!) Now ... we are looking forward to seeing you in the Western Cape, specifically my village, Betty's Bay. Consider yourselves invited to a feast. (My husband, like Chris, cooks!)
CRYING rn!!! Been watching your journey from the beginning & I am so blown away by your talent, passion, & guts!!! This is what life is really about!!! Absolutely beautiful. Thank you ❤
Hello from South Australia 🇦🇺 omg how emotional 😢 😊 has this last episode been, from the bottom of our hearts thankyou for putting a smile on our faces your journey has been unbelievable ❤
Awww Chris and Marianne, thank you so much for sharing this epic adventure. We’ve absolutely loved it!! 🥰 What a fantastic welcome home you had, so wish we could’ve made it but as I’m blubbering away watching the journey back to Ironbridge perhaps it was better that we weren’t there!! 😂😂 Sending big hugs and much love, Liz & Gray xx
Thanks for inviting me to ride along every Sunday on the journey! I particularly enjoyed the travels in Türkiye because I had 3 military assignments there. On my third assignment, I met my Turkish wife. We were married in a Turkish civil ceremony in Ankara. God bless you for emphasizing the kindness of the Turkish people! While watching the welcome home to England convoy, I had tears in my eyes at seeing so many people joining you, Marianne and Trudy! Thank you ever so much for sharing your travels!
Congratulations guys! This is Alicia from Turkey, where we met. What an incredible adventure and achievement for all three of you! Such a lovely and well deserved homecoming. I was in tears along with you! Big hugs and much love ❤️❤️❤️
You were my remedy during the pandemic at TR, couldn’t keep up after that but after all these years I still feel the same sincere vibe with you guys. Watching this closure was emotional and excited for the new series, it sounds like a great idea !
Well done Chris & Marianne. I found your channel during Covid and boy am I so glad I did. Love armchair travelling around the world with you. And the elephants look so much better in the sunset in Africa than “anywhere” else in the world! Cheers🎉❤❤
THANK YOU. We have been privileged to watch your adventure from the start. Who knew then what obstacles would block your way. But you did it. Looking forward to your next Adventure ❤❤
Congratulations Chris, Marianne and Trudy. Thank you fir taking me along on your adventures. Good luck in tge future. Look forward to you visiting South Africa again! It's been a blast 🎉🎉❤
OMG, Tears of joy. You have been on our screen for more than 4 years, we feel like we know you so well. We can never thank you enough for sharing your journey with us. Well done, we are looking forward to the meaty bits and the next chapters. Thank you from Down Under! Welcome Expidition living!😊
You are great ambassadors for the world and for the U.K. You have been entertaining, respectful, dignified and wonderful in giving us all an armchair view of travel to so many interesting places. Along with everyone else, I am saddened that collecting Trudy was tarnished by the theft of your personal belongings but I think you know how much love and support you have from everyone who has followed your adventures. I look forward to seeing you again at the homecoming fundraising party and being able to contribute towards the amazing work of the Turtle project for which your support has been so strong. Well done guys! Welcome home!
For the last three weeks I didn't watch your vids and decided to check up only to watch your last vid. Like many I did with tears in my eyes. It was so cool to see everyone welcoming you both home, I started watching from when you were in Turkey all the way to Africa. I hope you do a trip around OZ, you'll love it. LOL Leigh.
Chris and Marianne, you had me emotional when i saw you were burgled which i am terribly sorry for! But the anger i felt quickly decipated and turned to joy although i still cried until the end. Being an Empath i felt every emotion from both of you and at some point i had to pause and get a grip on myself. Truly an emotional ending to a fabulous trip around the world. Thank you for making South Africa part of your journey and thank you for making our Sundays a little shorter. Until we see you again someday soon. Have a good rest ❤
I have tears running down my cheeks. Welcome home Marianne & Chris. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure with us. I tell people about your channel all the time. Thanks to Paddy Doyle also as I was watching one of his videos when he introduced me to you guy’s & I began following your journey. I’m sure you’ll have more adventures in the future. Meanwhile it’s time to take a rest - well done!
Awesome video as always Chris and Marianne. Congratulations once again on crossing the finish line back home in y’all’s hometown in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧. Can’t wait for y’all’s next series Expedition Living. Thanks for letting us ride along with y’all on y’all’s journey around the world.
Chris and Marianne, the amazing Tread the Globe. Thank you so, so much for sharing your adventures these past 4 + years. I found out about you when you made the news at the start of your Istanbul car park confinement and have followed you since. My darling mum and I spent countless hours following your adventures and then also watching your pre Istanbul travels. When I went back to Staffordshire from Suffolk every 3/4 weeks to see her, one of the first things we did was catch up on 'Tread'. We may have watched a fair few of your videos more than once! We know some of the places you visited rather well, particularly Turkey, and loved exploring. Lots of places we added to our 'that's on our visit list'. My mum was a fabulous travel companion and my brother and I have had some absolutely wonderful times travelling with her. Sadly she died in April aged 85 and never got to see you come home. I bet she's still watching with me though. I got quite emotional seeing you head back to Shropshire, but in a good way. Mum loved a good do and I shall be watching the live stream from Suffolk and wishing you and everyone the most fabulous night. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us and letting us be part of it vicariously. We have loved it. If I shed any more tears tonight, 27th Sept, (quite likely) they will be happy ones for the wonderful conversations, laughter, and joy you have brought us, not to mention highlighting Seher /Dekafok as well as lots of 'oh my god' watching Marianne driving those Georgia mountain roads !! You enabled my mum to travel again when she was housebound and in a great deal of pain. From both of us, thank you. It's a precious gift you shared. Tread the Globe, you (and Trudy of course!) are blooming awesome xx with love from Maxine and my darling mum, Maureen
Thank you so much ... we are grateful for your memories too - and sharing them all together has been one of the best experiences for us - We will be back on the road making new memories soon with an extra guardian angel watching over us - big hugs from us - Marianne and Chris xx (and Trudy)
Thank you for taking along your adventures and showing a realistic view of the places that you visited, it was like I was travelling myself. Meeting you both in Singapore was a bonus and made me realize that your videos are genuine. Also inspiring, so much so that my wife and i will be travelling to the Victoria Falls and make a 2 persons sunset cruise as you did, to check out if that big croc is still there. I am looking forward to more of your travels and adventures, see you again in Singapore!
Well done to you two and Trudy. Chesca said it best. Thanks for taking us along on this amazing ride with you guys. I look forward to what you have install for us next. Much love from Cape Town, South Africa
Well! How emotional was that for an ending! I shed tears from the moment you left Trudy for shipping! Well done guys and thank you so much for fantastic informational inspiring entertainment. Looking forward to the next trip! 🎉🎈🎉🎈🎉🎈🎉🎈🚌🚌🚌🚌🚌🚌
Started watching tread the globe during the pandemic, and used your videos to plan our roadtrip around Turkiye. Have loved watching you guys. Such positive lovely people.
I can't wait to see the crossing of the finish line!!! I'll be up at 3am with my coffee ☕️ on the edge of my seat ❤ I've loved your journey and excited about the next one 😀 CHEERS GUYS 🍻 CONGRATULATIONS 👍🍾👍
What an epic finale. Thanks so much Chris, Marianne and Trudy for taking us on an absolutely riveting, captivating and enlightening trip around the world. I was surprised how emotional I got in this episode and if you had any doubts, your vlog has definitely crept into our hearts and become part of our family. Thanks for the inspiration and positivity and letting us all know that possibilities are infinite. Can't wait for the next adventure.
Hi guys I’m on catch up! Well can’t believe this particular journey is over 😢. I first started watching you during covid, I’m a support worker so needed something to lose myself in! I was hooked and watched from the very start 😊. Bless Trudy what a star! Can’t wait for your next adventures 😊. Trying not to cry 😢 xx
Thank you for letting us tag along on your epic journey!!! So happy for you both that so many came out to welcome you back home. Loved the words that Chesca shared especially since that it is through her and Ben's channel, Overlanding Sophia, we discovered your videos. Our son started watching with us so I have a feeling he will want to go back to the older videos which we don't mind watching again. We were all completely shocked when you opened up the doors on Trudy. I told him that we have to remember all the gorgeous sights along their trip and so many absolutely amazing people that you met along the way and those that helped you so much. That is what has stood out to me through your adventures and how the two of you appreciated each person's kindness.
Well what a fantastic welcome home for u both, amazing to see. I would like to congratulate you on your awesome trip and have enjoyed watching every single video and like you both bit sad to see it end. it was amazing to see the places you went to, all the trials, tribulations and joy and some sadness from your trip. Sadness in being robbed of your stuff on two occasions which is awful but it’s the world today and as you said it is what it is. But that sadness is completely overshadowed by the pure happiness of the people you met along the way, especially sorry but can’t remember their names but the people in Turkey, your covid friend who helped you so much he was awesome, the guy also in Turkey you stayed with a few times and the amazing turtle lady, what a treasure she is! Thank you for sharing your travels as enjoyed every minute of them and look forward to more to come. Welcome home and again congratulations on your trip!

What a achievement 🎉 our Sunday mornings won’t be the same
Chris and Marianne, the amazing Tread the Globe.
Thank you so much ... we are grateful for your memories too - and sharing them all together has been one of the best experiences for us - We will be back on the road making new memories soon with an extra guardian angel watching over us - big hugs from us - Marianne and Chris xx (and Trudy)
i think trudy deserves a full van conversation inside, to make her feel loved and make any future adventures more comfortable.
Our pleasure! It was great to meet you too and we will be back one day for sure 😉
What an achievement! Looking forward to see you crossing the finish line!

Awwh Thanks Mandy 🤗🌺🙏
The British weather will never disappoint. Welcome home. When is the next adventure?
Africa is still here, waiting for you to see the rest.
