TIFO, triggered by the Athletic Comments, vented his frustration by 'Love hearting' a comment made on the RUclips video entitled, "How Everton Chased Ancelotti For Two Years". The was the beginning of the end of the partnership between the two football news outlets.
No, cause this "Appeared on the Athletic" thing is stupid. When I come here to watch a video, I don't care where it appeared first. I want to watch interesting story, not listen to same intro over and over
Please do a video on a tactical analysis on Ancelotti’s style of play for Everton!! I think we would love to see how you guys interpret Ancelotti’s 343 in attack and 442 in defense. Love the videos and keep up the fantastic work Tifo!!!!
Ancelotti is in the tradition of people like Trapattoni, Ferguson and Hitzfeld, not Cruyff, Sacchi and Guardiola i.e. players and specific situations are more important than systems and ideologies. For example, one week he might play with 1 striker and next week he'll play with 2 strikers because of the team he is facing. This strategy allows individual genius to flourish and makes training sessions and everyday life easier for all players.
I don't know about it, but footballing world now looks like it prefers the latter type of managers. The quality of players is already distributed enough in the top flight, that a team without systems most likely will struggle to compete with team with it.
There is a reason for Carlo changing his way. In an interview about his start at Parma, he was a system man. He was at odds with Roberto Baggio about how he would play. Carlo wanted to stick to his 442 system with Baggio as the striker. Baggio wanted a 10 role. They couldnt agree and Baggio went to Bologna and got 23 goals. Carlo said that was a wake up call for him and he regret he lost 23 goals from Baggio. Go check out that interview.
Also, Carlo lost the great Zola too at Parma due to his stubborness at a system. He got sacked from Parma due to this lack of flexibility. Carlo admitted he was a die hard of Arrigo Sacchi 442

This comment is 3 years old, so I don’t know if you know this or not, but I’ll say it anyway. If Marcel Brands had a say in who became the manager, he wouldn’t of brought in Ancelotti or Benitez. Brands wanted to bring in Graham Potter.
Everton were league champions in 1987, Bill Kenwright (their chairman) got on the board in 1988. Since then has been the demise of Everton. And when he took over in the mid 90s, there was ZERO outward investment. Everton deserve investment after 20+ YEARS of zero investment.

Why the fk is everton paying a manager who has already been sacked? Only in football can you find such a thing. Wish I get that too from my previous job.
So. Everton have looked for vast styles of managers. Simione Ancellotti, Allardyce, Marco Silva, Unai Emery not one manager similar playing style to the other.
