Thank you so much for posting this. I'm hosting a Spring Tea at my church in May and I wanted to use my chocolate fountain that my mother-in-law had given me for my wedding reception many years ago. I had never used it myself so I went looking for a video tutorial. I followed all your steps/advice and it worked perfectly. I've tested it out twice now so that I am sure to know how to get it up and running for my tea party in May!! Thank you!!!!
Thank you for making this video! Just bought a chocolate fountain, but couldn't find any instruction video from the manufacturer, so this was very helpful 👍
So glad you found this helpful! Have extra melted chocolate available. Then when you need it, warm it up in the microwave 30 seconds at a time, until it’s liquid again.
Thank u so much ☺️ I have my fountain still in the box never used it before it’s been sitting on top of my fridge for like 3 yrs because the set up was a bit confusing
Glad that I was able to help you. Regarding preparing the chocolate a day ahead, no I wouldn’t do that because the chocolate will harden at room temperature and in the fridge. I have never tried to store the leftover chocolate.
@@LivingRichlyonaBudget thank you for ur response! I tried it tonight and it’s pretty successful! However, I have to prepare it tonight and hopefully I can just heat up again the next morning easily and bring it out to enjoy with kids. I tested it today when it’s room temperature it does not really harden so I think I won’t put it into the fridge tonight. I will keep u posted how it goes. Fingers-crossed.
Thank you my dear! It turns out to be so successful and it did not get hardened. However, I have one more question. Is there an easier way to wash it? It’s super greasy ….
@ms.laisclassroom812 Glad it turned out well for you! That’s a good question about washing! I had to use wet paper towels to wipe off the chocolate first, then wash. Yes, washing it is the hardest part.
I have only used it with my kids. But the time you spend close to the fountain to dip is short and than you can move somewhere else with your dipped food.
@@LivingRichlyonaBudget can I use olive oil instead of cooking oil or vegetable oil I think the Olive oil will be more healthier to use than the vegetable oil
Hi Lorna, you can but the olive oil flavor might overpower the flavor of the chocolate. If you’re looking for a healthier oil, then you can try grape seed oil, which has a neutral flavor.
I saw a chocolate fountain and thought to myself. I don’t need a fountain. Now hearing the loud motor, I really don’t need a fountain. Chocolate melter is suffice.
In the video, I mixed semisweet, milk chocolate, and dark chocolate. But the easiest is to use chocolate fountain melting wafers like this: www.amazon.com/Wilton-Chocolate-Pro-Fountains-Multipack/dp/B01C9JSB7I
Wow that's a lot of oil you put in...!! Wow. I guess that is what you need. I am a novice but I would think that that much oil would make the chocolate not taste good.
@@chrisb6943 I haven't worked with cheese so I don't want to give you the wrong info. I would get it from Sephra (professional chocolate fountain maker). You add milk to this and it's made for fountain use (affiliate link): shrsl.com/4prw7
You need oil for the fountain to run properly and not clump up when going through the pump. (If you’re doing a simple fondue then it doesn’t matter as much.) The oil to chocolate ratio is what is recommended by the chocolate fountain manufacturer. If you look at chocolate melting wafers sold for chocolate fountains, there is a lot of oil in them too. If you don’t believe me, you can try it out yourself in your chocolate fountain.

Yay! That’s exciting! Also glad you got to test it out before the party.
I am going to use my fountain for the first time and the instructions are a bit confusing, this was very clear and helps alot! Thank you!
I’ve been using your recipe for a lot of parties and it has been a huge hit. I had no idea what I was doing before this, Ty!
Yay! Glad I could help!

Awesome! Glad my video helped you!
I’m going to try this on Valentine’s Day using my fountain for the first time
You might want to try it out beforehand to test it out so you get the hang of it.
@@LivingRichlyonaBudget I certainly will
This was very helpful. What should I do if it is a large party and I might need to refill halfway through?

11:29 "There's just something so satisfying about dipping food in chocolate.." Lol.
Ur video is a life-saver to me. I want to ask if I can prepare it one day ahead or recycle the chocolate for the next day?

@ms.laisclassroom812 The worse thing is that if it hardens you’ll have to microwave it. Good luck!

The Best food my frind, good vdo and like it good day
very nice
Do you find the noise bothers you for parties
I have only used it with my kids. But the time you spend close to the fountain to dip is short and than you can move somewhere else with your dipped food.
Can you use single or double cream instead of oil? Or just water?
You need oil or it won’t flow correctly.
@@LivingRichlyonaBudget can I use olive oil instead of cooking oil or vegetable oil I think the Olive oil will be more healthier to use than the vegetable oil
I will use olive oil instead

I just got a chocolate fountain and the recipe with the skewers for Mother’s Day it all came out to 55$

great video, those are the prettiest strawberries i’ve ever seen!
What was the point of turning of them waiting 30 seconds ? Also my fountain runs for like 5 min then just stops. Any advice?
The chocolate fountain instructions say to turn off and wait for 30 seconds. If your fountain stops after 5 minutes, I would contact the manufacturer.
Very informative
If i buy the chocolate on the bags for fountain do i need to add oil to them too or they come with oil?
If it’s the chocolate labeled for chocolate fountains, then it has the oil already in it.
Good job i try this is testing is so YUM
And thank you so much ❤💙
Thank you!
Thank you
You’re welcome!
Thank you for this recipe. Could I use butter instead of oil maybe?
I don’t think butter would work because it would burn.
You actually can use butter but get butter that doesn’t have salt because that will affect the taste of the chocolate
You can use butter
Yummy
Can you use water instead of oil or a other oil
No. The water will make the chocolate seize
I am not going to buy the Chocolate Fountain. I just came here to be tempted. You did a great job in tempting me.!
LOL!
I too noisy. in a table after a while would be annoying
There are quieter ones but they cost more.
@@LivingRichlyonaBudget Can you suggest Brand and model?
Sephra has a whisper quiet chocolate fountain. amzn.to/3bWCuAh
Is the plastic supposed to heat up?
The metal at the base of the fountain heats up.
thanks!!
How long the fountain can work non stop?
Hello)
Not sure but my friend once left theirs on for 24 hours.
I bet that tast good😋
Aww thanks this is the video I need to see 😍
can i use butter?
I am not sure that butter would work.
I love your bangs 😊
Olá boa noite. Sou do Brasil.
Para 1 kilo de chocolate quanto de óleo e qual óleo? Obrigado.
700 grams de chocolate
Really helpful thank you for this
Hi Great video
What chocolate is ideal for fountains?
In the video, I mixed semisweet, milk chocolate, and dark chocolate. But the easiest is to use chocolate fountain melting wafers like this: www.amazon.com/Wilton-Chocolate-Pro-Fountains-Multipack/dp/B01C9JSB7I
Is this machine washable?
Hand wash only
Wow that's a lot of oil you put in...!! Wow. I guess that is what you need. I am a novice but I would think that that much oil would make the chocolate not taste good.
You need the oil for it to flow properly. And the oil didn’t interfere with taste. My kids ate it up.
The milk is better than oil
@@LivingRichlyonaBudget sorry but there's no way the oil didn't interfere with the taste
This is the best video on this I've seen yet
You need that much the chocolate is far to thick
I like your channel name.
Hi Fanny, from Elvie and David. :)
Hi David and Elvie! Thanks for dropping by and commenting.
@@LivingRichlyonaBudget You're welcome. You are becoming RUclips-famous! :)
I didn't expect the machine to be so loud.
It is loud. But the higher end, professional ones aren’t as loud.
Did she say 3/4 cup of oil or 3 to 4 cups of oil
It’s 3/4 cup of oil. The full recipe is here: www.livingrichlyonabudget.com/how-to-set-up-a-chocolate-fountain/
Put it on the strawberries and then freeze them up in the freezer and that’s how you make chocolate strawberries
I have tried it
It tastes good when you freeze strawberries
have you ever considered using cheese instead of chocolate on same fountain?????
You can do cheese too but I can’t eat a lot of cheese.
but I need to add oil when I do with Cheese. right????

Can I use nutella??
Good question. I have never tried. I think you would have to figure out how much oil to add.
Oh you can add chocolate syrup can’t like the milk
You can use all purpose cream to make it liquid not oil so much of oil? Bad to the taste..

Sawit oil is easy tohave in here, milk is cosy in asian
I had plan to buy but no way so oily yaaq
You need the oil to help it run through the machine smoothly. When you eat it, it doesn’t come out oily.

That’s to loud
Coconut oil would be better.
You can use whatever oil you’d like but we are allergic to coconut.
Too loud
