Our recent adopted cat barely meows. She communicates with that kind of halfway meow/purr or you might call it a cat grumble. I think it means she wants the laser pointer.
Great video for those who need to understand cat body language and behaviour better. I, sadly, know too many cat parents who have no clue and/or think they have a dog in a cat's body. When they're at my home and see me with my two boys, they're always stupefied. "How... what... why? How come they're so sweet & trusting?" Because I speak *their* language. Respect their boundaries. And love them the way they need. In return, I'm being loved back in the cutest, funniest, most adorable way. I could give a hundred examples of our special bond, but anyone who is new with cats or willing to do better, and follows the advice given here might experience those things for themselves. Much more awesome ;).
Not going to lie. I do meow back to my vocal Tabby cat! She will go back and fourth with me for 3 minutes straight.. ive never seen anything like it. I have rescued 6 from terrible conditions, she was one of them.. found as a litter inside the wall of an abandoned home after the mother was ran over, the house was torn down 4 days later. They would have been in the wall. Only the one I took survived. They were half alive when they were found. I have 7. Im obsessed with my cats. I went from 1 to 7 in the past 2 years. All other six were feral kittens. I bought a new home on farmland and apparently there are a lot of irresponsible pet owners here. Its sad. 1 is 10 years old. 1 is 2 years. 4 are 1 year (rescued entire litter) and newest is a few months and is disabled with swimmers syndrome. I cannot help any more of them but im glad they will grow old with me. Ive been single 10 years 😂
