@@virtualcgdesign Currently, I use Blender on a Mac and Nomad on iPad Pro. I've used Zbrush, Maya (up until subscriptions), Modo (up until subscriptions) on Mac. For some reason, even though I loved the modeling of modo, I never did any serious projects with it. With Maya and Zbrush I did some pretty cool projects. I'm a hobbyist though, so subscriptions were problematic for someone who might use the heck out of a package and then not use it again for a year or two. I love Nomad but I'm worried the Dev doesn't have a sustainable business model (partly because users in the mobile space seem to be such cheapskates, to be honest), so as much as I prefer paid updates over subscriptions, I might do the subscription for Zbrush for iPad even though I really really want the Nomad dev to succeed. (Plus that's such a powerful and downright usable app).

Please you should consider create this same video but compare why you like this sw software from your perspective.... and show us an example of why this sw is better then other with example of handicaps and rank all of them from your perspective (speed, easiest approach, missing stuff in sw, ...) ...
I meant like workflow from the box to some specific testing shape and compare it with other sw..... show us why this is better than other sw, how fast is it in that sw with shortcuts, if modifiers exists, if there is spline and distribution on spline, modeling regard non destructive/destructive, boleam how it behave and is it destructive/nondestructive, scattering, fx water and or etc, and important is custom scripting and creating yours modifiers or something similar to modifiers, and if you can procedurally model... And test it towards how quickly/easily you can create example shape..
Thanks for video...I am saying that blender has handicap because you cant stack modifiers, this is a big minus, i am little bit sad about it...

Blender need 50 addon and still don't have the amount of tools inside max alone. Blender is cool and free but. Max is far superior por poly modeling and precision. People get almost religious about blender nowadays. Blender is Good. But not the best.

I've used modo and Maya and Blender, and I can definitely say: Blender has come a long way (and it's nicely customizable), but other apps have better thought-out UI and key bind choices. I frequently shake my head at some of the shortcut keys I have to use. I think modo was the most-polished in that regard, among apps I've used. For modeling hard surfaces that don’t have curved surfaces the best is Plasticity. I have no doubt.
    And it’s only version 1.
I think that in the future even advanced and fast tools for curved surfaces will be fully developed.
Mixed curved surface/solid modeling: Blender, Modo, Max, Maya etc. Makes little difference. None of them has any great innovation that will break the competition.
    Everyone has to use subds.
Organic modeling: Zbrush...but immediately after Blender. Because as far as sculpture is concerned, hundreds of tools are not necessary, and Blender has fantastic brushes, unfortunately it only manages 10 polygons.
3DCoat is almost as big as Zbrush, but chaotic.

Lw is a good software for modelling. Basically it has the same basic tools of earlier Modo. It has some redundancies with tools named differently you can use for similar things and that may get you confused at first, but it allows precise modelling with measures and so on. Now it has restarted developing so that modelling too will be enhanced. Modeler needs to eliminate those redundancies for a cleaner workflow and UX, then they should add some modern stuff like mesh fusion parametric modelling and other things. But the basics are all there for a good hardsurface modelling.
