I feel this guy, 8-16 hours a day creating on this end, it is great to take a day or two off for sure, it really isn't healthy, but when you are passionate about what you do, you can easily overlook some important things in life. Thank you very much for the video, really cool to know that there are other people out there who pour their life into this stuff as well.
Man! Even the best artist's out there like Marco still feel somewhat unsatisfied with their works and also feel depression really say something. Him giving advice based on his experience of how get through them is just admirable. THANKS!
Thank you for the honest interview! It's interesting to get experience from a professional artist...especially when it comes to the whole issue of burn-out, struggle etc.
Really useful insights from this interview. Really nice to see how Honest Marco Plouffe is talking about all the feelings an artist goes through when it comes to value the quality of your own work. It really gives you good vibes that with time and effort you will get better.
Finally!!!! I'm so happy that you've made a video about him. Man! I've admired this guy's work for a while now. Really felt like he deserved more recognition. Really awesome moment🔥🔥🔥
I was just thinking how I need some inspiring background audio while I do my sculpting, then ecstatic to see this pop up in my subs feed! Huge fan of and have learnt tons from both of you!
Man, I love Marco's art. I once had the chance to go to one of his workshops but it was the start of 2020 and the lockdowns became official about a week before it :(. o well, maybe in the future. (this was through work)
I've been running my studio for 3 years and I know how to fight myself very well. It's nice to hear I'm not alone.😅 As creatives we have so much time to ponder on past, present and future. Sometimes it feels insane and a blessing at the same time. Great episode!!! 🍻
Funny thing, my best friend from high school dated a girl that ended up "dating" Tony Johns while she was an "exotic dancer". He would show up in her snap chat stories in 2012. It absolutely blew my mind when he was on YMH. Anyways, loved the interview. Really appreciate you talking about mental aspects of thing and how it's okay to take breaks. Thanks for the inspiration! @@marcogifuni999
I've never heard of "IMM(?)." Contextually, it seems to be another way to say kitbash, but what does it stand for? Fascinating conversation. As the host said, it is very helpful to hear someone this talented talk about having imposter syndrome. I was just offered a dream job as a 3D artist with great pay and benefits. I haven't even started, but I already worry they'll quickly discover I'm actually not good. It doesn't help that I'm moving 2,200 miles away for the job... 😅
Congrats on the new job! IMM stands for “insert multi mesh” and it’s a Zbrush thing. It allows you to have a brush with whatever models you want in it to place however you want to do kit bashing
I really enjoyed that episode! It would be fantastic to have more hard-surface artists showcased in the future. Speaking of which, Marco was absolutely amazing! He's definitely the goat.
Great episode. His commercial and artistic achievents are so impressive. The statues are extremely good and seeing them painted is brilliant. Such a cool way to have your art in the world.
I really enjoyed the video! You had good questions for the Interview. One thing: Please give the artists Channel Info to us in the audience - a link to his streams for example. Thanks for all the effort you put into this!
I know this mans pain. I'm a small unknown artist constantly trying to improve, constantly creating but seems to always go unnoticed. I have fell into the depression, what's the point hole many times.
How the hell does he get anything "clean" with Zremesher ? When I use it, it makes the absolute worst topology of all times even on simple shapes... Anyway, the part about burnout is exaclty how I feel most of the time. It's weird how our mood affects how we see things.🙃
Try using it together with Zremesher guides it helps a lot. Also if you're making something that's not gonna be animated, perfect topology doesn't really matter
Armoured Colony has a great tutorial on this for Hard Surface stuff (not sure if this link will work lol) ruclips.net/video/-uk4idpNWho/видео.html and Jared Chavez has a breakdown of his work flow with ZRemesh on his channel too :)
@@mariolopez-oi2td Yeah I use that, with "polish by feature" to have clean angles, but still, most of the time the result is not good enough, if you're going to make specific details at specific places there might not be the right topology, and the edge loops don't allow for clean bevels.

Totally get that, it's hard to measure how much time you should also take off to live just life and not being doing or think about art.
always put health first in life

Thank you for the series of interviews! Some feedback on the audio, it sounds soft and low? Could be improved, probably crank it a bit in the editing.
Glad you like it thanks for the feedback
@@artofjhill Thank you for receiving it well. Your audio is already good, the audio was just noticeably low for this vid
