    I had lost my key and I am 63 years old. I was worried the manager would evict me if I did not open my Master Pad lock for inspection! This video saved my life! I used the Bobby pin for the hold and the paperclip for tensions and kept working that paper clip and I was shocked! It worked. You saved me hundreds of dollars and my apartment. They'll never know the difference. I will buy a new lock. This time i will keep track of the keys! Thanks.

      Master Lock No. 1 & 3 are very common and a good choice if you wish to get started in this skill. They do not have security pins and can be easily raked.
      The No. 140 would be a good padlock to graduate to afterwards. It's a 4 pin cylinder, just like the before mentioned locks, but incorporates a security pin. Raking these takes a little more skill.

    Jeremy, that's some cool stuff right there! In some jurisdictions carrying lock picks is a no-no. Alternatives like that are fantastic because paper clips aren't burgler tools. You can sometimes buy lock pick sets at gunshows and flea markets or buy them online. Keep in mind though you can be arrested for having them on your person in a lot of places. What are PA laws on picks?

    • @JeremyHopper007

    Hey Jerry Ive always had a natural gift at opening locks that have security codes I've always found them easy to bypass just by feel as for picking a padlock/keylock that I have never done I have picked a few cupboard or kitchen cupboard locks but I've never had a specific method for padlocks/keylock anyhow I never had 2 money clips I had but 1 hair clip witch I devided into 2 plus making wosre I never had the proper tools to shape my lock picking tools but I did my best with what I had I must say I struggled a quite a bit at first but that's a good thing cause it gave me the chance to get the feeling of what needs to be done and I'm ecstatic to say that I have almost mastered the process a hour or so alone with a few locks and I think I'll be semi-pro.anyhow thanks a million for sharing the knowledge for now I'm gonna keep my little toolkit with me at all times and as soon as I've the right spares and the right tool I'm gonna make myself a real beautiful and more comfortable toolkit anyhow I like that you have not only shown how to pick the lock but you have shown how to make the tools with very little more videos in the same sought of manner would be super#maguyver

  • @900KING2
    @900KING2 5 лет назад

    Not saying this won't work at all, but the video is cleverly edited. It did not happen that fast, the tension wrench was down and to OUR viewing left. Then a few frames later the camera angle changes and the tension wrench is horizontal and going counter clockwise, ending up at almost the midnight position when the lock pops open. His breathing also changed. I'd be willing to bet for a beginner this is an all day thing trying to do this.

    • @JeremyHopper007
      @JeremyHopper007  5 лет назад +1

      The camera angle and position of the tension wrench was changed because my hands were blocking the view. I repeated this a second time at 5:00 without changing the camera position. This can be a difficult and frustrating skill to learn for a beginner but practice makes perfect.

    I wonder how it is determined which direction the cylinder needs to turn.

    "safety & freedom".... yea, throw a medaco at it. No paperclip will get you into that. Sneeze on a master lock and it will open. Cheers!!

      Masterlocks aren't the best out there but tend to be some of the most common.

    Nice vid. I'm getting started out now, but I'm having an easier time manipulating each pin individually. I've tried raking a few times, but not much luck.

      SurlomeRealm absolutely, in my opinion making a longer rake helps on regular house locks.

      SurlomeRealm given enough to time, paper clip picks, and skill sure. Also you need longer paperclips for certain locks.

    I have this lock and i have been trying to unlock it with lockpicking but it just won't unlock, i have been trying for hours but nothing happens except some of the pins that go up, maybe because i put too much energy on the torque?

      This is just one of the techniques. There are other ways to lock pick locks.
