I'm a shareholder of GRAB: - strong region with room for development (growing GDP, young population, high population density, underbanked/unbanked citizens, ...) - unique market positioning (solely Indonesia is tough) - banking moon shot oppertunity (potentially stepping into the footsteps of NU bank) - good recent quarterly results (solid GMV growth which is higher than incentives growth, MTU and GMV per MTU is good, ...) - shareholder focused (profit focus, buy backs, decreasing stock based compensation, ...) - brand recognition (taking a "Grab") - solid cash position - potentially more products/services to come (for instance ads business) However, I don't think it's a cheap stock.
Already is. They have the coveted digital banking license in Malaysia and Singapore. Their newly launched digital banking app, GX is sticky, a proper neobank. They will dominate SEA. Malaysian here
The problem is it is already huge in Southeast asia. If they just started, you can have a story of market share growth. But after getting such a dominant position, its income statement still reads like shit. That’s the problem

You guys are right, no further analysis. Funny, Kramer also stated the company was similar to a SPAC. I guess this channel has the same level of analysis as CNBC.

Look at GMV growth. It’s 3% YoY that’s why the price has not grown since the IPO fall.

Problem with Grab its doing way too much and spread too thin this is fundamentally the problem
Formula: No strong and high conviction gurus inside + No Net Margins (just estimates and comparisons) = We need a HUGE margin of safety.
