I'd love to see SotR off gcd and give a short defensive on use in holy again, would help with low damage in keys and serve as a holy power dump since holy power being capped so often as it is now. Holy power spenders stronger and buff baseline holy shock so every tier set doesn't have to buff it and can focus on other parts of the kit

People loved it because it was incredibly OP. Like, no other healer was even close. Its flaws were not apparent because of huge numbers. Then they got 10+ nerfs that effectively hanged how the class had to be played, because our casts got buffed and our spenders were super nerfed, and on top of that now we had mana issues, so hard casting became a thing. The rework after the nerfs made the class bloated, where our buttons didnt do much, and now it was the lowest HPS and DPS healer in the game by like 20% with extremely apparent design issues on top of all that.
Holy paladin is so weird - the 10.1.5 rework was insane god mode spec that stomped everything else. Felt like they had a CD for every situation, the hps was mad, the dmg was great and then through nerf after nerf it became terrible. But the way people talk about it seems like it's got more issues than just the tuning of the numbers. Where were all the people talking about rotation issues or talent tree issues when it was stomping in S2?

And this has yet to be fixed.
Also, the spec tree was always terribly designed, it just didnt matter because your whole Kit and Cds was insane in numbers. But the tree had 0 diversity since the start, and a lot of niche talents were dead on arrival or just nerfed into the ground during S2.
The nerfs that reduced spenders made the spec feel terrible. The numbers of spenders which require 3 global cooldowns did less numbers than a generator, aka flash of light, and it felt like shit to actually spend your powers. This is flawed since there is literally no point in spending anymore and you would rather flash of light instead of spending holy powers when the spec was designed to generate and spend. To make it worse, you needed 2 stacks of dusk and dawn buffs to make spenders do more than flash of light, meaning that you had to continue to flash of light or holy shock even when you were full on holy powers(5) just to get the dawn buff to 2 stacks, essentially making your spenders require 6 holy powers.
What else would *you* change? 🤔
