I have never done a subscription box. I have always seen prices of $75. That cuts into my monthly budget and how do I know if I would really like the projects. Thanks for the review and I will pass. I already have enough fabric and patterns to do all my small projects.

Like you, I've watched quite a few Mrs Quilty reviews, and I have to give them credit where credit is due. Those reviews had a lot of complaints/criticisms which don't seem to apply to this box, so kudos to them for taking that feedback and improving the box considerably. While the total number of fat quarters has decreased (from 16 to 12), the quality appears to have increased, and I like that each piece is unique rather than their previous "two pieces each of eight different prints" offering. Personally I'd rather have 12 really good pieces than 16 mediocre ones. The first-box gift is better, too - the ruler & pins are far more useful than the old wrist pincushion. Even the magazine has more info than before. I saw someone else review this new-and-improved version, and they had already made the potholder before filming the video, and they had no issues with the pattern at all.
Thank you for posting such a thorough & honest review.

I felt like the fabric was improved after I washed it. But I did not think the value of the box was worth the price.

I priced everything separately to compare the value to the box. A 12-pc FQ Bundle is around $30. A 6.5" square ruler anywhere from $9-$20 depending on the brand. I think it's all really subjective. I didn't wash my fabric. That's good to know about. I appreciate your comment!

I had a sub-box once for a few months and quit it. First, they always have floral fabric, which I do not like except for 1930s florals. I rarely buy precuts for that reason. Also, too much "stuff" that I will never use so why pay for it. I think this box is the best I've seen. No junk and I think great for beginners. I want to be a fabric snob but the truth is, I've made quilts from Joann's fabric that lasted years and from quilt shop fabric that frayed before I finished quilting it. So, just find what you like and can afford. Great review. Very honest.

I agree about the fabric - No one can afford to be a quilter if they have to pay $14+ per yard for all fabric. They've told me they've improved their fabric beginning with this box.

@@revelationquilts yes I have seen that comment on a couple different sites. They listen to the comments and that they were working on the fabric end of things for quality and fabric style.

I really appreciated the information and honesty of this video. I also have never bought a box but have been considering Mrs. Quilty. I liked the pause choice or that I can cancel at any time, also that shipping is included. My draw backs have been the negative comments on quality of the fabric and that it is older material. Also the mistakes in their patterns. That has been a stopping point for me. I can’t seem to “ pull the plug” and actually order. I also am an older quilter and have recently downsized getting rid of so much that adding trinkets is not what I really want to do at this stage and not into crafting like I used to be. That being said I could use the extra items as things to pass along to others. I believe in encouraging the younger generation to try new things. I find when readers comment on what they try or do is also helpful. Like after washing there was a difference. I think a quick addition of how the projects turn out is there shrinkage would be a great idea. Thanks

Thank you for your comments - I made an error when I said that the price included shipping. It does not.

The quilt behind you is beautiful! Is there a pattern? My daughter was an exchange student in Texas and I would love to make her that quilt.

That is my own design that I just sort of made up as I went along. I found free paper-piecing patterns for the boots and the 'Texas' lettering.☺
