Rob!! Thanks so much for taking a look, and for all the kind words! Really freaking appreciate you and love that you enjoyed them. See you at the next show!
To answer that quick question, these are not assembled here in Austin YET. hoping to make that happen in the next year or two.

@@traffordwatchco3603 Hey, does the case have the same hardening used in traska? If yes, is not advertised well enough in your website and I feel it should. I believe it would severely impact the buying decision for most people as this is an everyday watch.

The Crossroads has been a class act for me. Version 1 that is, which I own in Cabernet. The strap, however, on generation 1 was a let down, and I changed it to a nice handmade olive leather after a while. It's been on my wrist surprisingly often, especially since when I first opened the box I felt the watch came across as big in most dimensions (even if objectively it's more average than large). On the wrist the weight of it is present, especially when moving about fast (bit of wobble), but generally not annoyingly so. Out of these version, had I not bought that Cabernet already, I'd probably fall for the purplish pink. That's such a great colour and the distinct hue match of the chapter ring works especially well on this one, too. I also like the orange, but would probably find it too much for me in daily wear, although that green strap grounds it. And the sky blue is also really nice, and thankfully far away enough from the pastels and ices that have become more common to still stand out. The red I find simply too red (my cabernet also has a winey tinge of purple and goes almost black at angles, which is really appreciate) and the grey is nice but feels very conservative for the watch. That strap is one massive upgrade over the previous version, I wish I'd get one in the mail as a courtesy for being an 'early-ish' adopter. They seem so carefully matched to these colours though that I'm not sure if there would be one just as right for the Cabernet. The finishing is very pleasing and the watch looks kind of soft and inviting, espcially for a squared shape. That said, one lesser executed aspect is the resolution of the brushed finish on the bezel around the perpendicular corners. You don't really notice this, but it looses definition there. The scratch resistant coating is a nice touch, but, being my first with this feature, I can still see minor wear being picked up, so I'm less impressed than I had hoped to be about this. All in all, it's a watch that's easy to recommend and if the price of 499 is back for this generation, I think the value is entirely there and it should make a great addition to most collections. Choose your preferred colour carefully!

I can understand the current price of $499, which is already on the high side, but to go up to $650 after preorders is way too much. It puts people off wanting to buy the watch in the future. The pink/purple looks the best and got the colour combination right unlike other micro brands.

    • @RohanKalyanpur

I think the pre-order price is on the higher side but still alright. Due to its originality and very unique design I'd give it a pass at 499. Retail price is indeed steep, but let's be honest, most people who are interested in this watch will get it by pre-ordering.

Manufacturing and assembly in Hong Kong/China is so commonplace it shouldn’t even be a discussion point in relation to quality in sub $750 watches. If you’re going to 👎 Hong Kong at least explain why, please.

If American watch companies really took great pride in their watches they would all take the initiative on assembling & testing their watches here in the United States and not going overseas for cheap labor. Americans need jobs right now and we need to bring back manufacturing to this country. Every day I’m reading about more and more businesses from restaurants, stores and entire malls going out of business. It appears we are heading towards another “Great Depression”. The elites sold this country out to China and other countries decades ago. It’s time we say no more!

    • @spg5658

Looks too big for a square watch. Even on your wrist it looks too big, square watches are meant to look dainty.

I spoke to them about size, since I have a small wrist at 6.25. They said that this watch wears like a 40-41mm, so too big for me. They did say to stay tuned for a smaller version in the future.

Not really sure what “living that freedom life” was supposed to mean, but assume it’s because he escaped the UK to live in the land of the free? As a Brit (ironically from Trafford) I really take offence to that. While the US was fighting with itself over whether to keep slaves, the UK never technically legalised it and was the first to make it illegal. While the US was fighting to make its own imperialist destiny (under a banner of freeing itself from oppression and imperialism), the UK’s form of democracy is older than, well, the US. The US is ironically one of the least “free” nations on Earth, with one of the highest ratios of incarceration.
