That's the true spirit of Mediterranean housing! As our brothers in Spain, here in Crete, we also started renovating our old barns and tool sheds, specially since the crisis stroke us.
It was a spectacular interview And they hear him speak in Spanish and others in Colombia for a long time Who is Neat just to hear him speak.. I really had a great passion for us place.. I think it’s a great gift that I have to speak Spanish and I can hear it so beautifully when he explains everything it’s just really nice not exactly what you did in Spanish translation to English.. but it was nice that you didn’t do that for everyone else but for me it was nice to get to hear him speak about the kinds of rock they used in the way it was done just amazing what you get out of there words it has more gravity…
'its better for the prostrate' should be the mantra of tiny homes! i like the floating loft and i am fascinated by the loose stone exterior. all those cherry and olive trees must smell wonderful too!
I could live here full time; beautiful stone work and there's such a sense of space and volume. Thanks again for your sensitive work...no music, just the odd sounds of people and nature.
The reason they built to this size specifically was because it was the largest sized home they were allowed. As they mention, this land was zoned for agriculture so permitting allowed for just a 25m2 tool shed. Though it's a good point about the cellar. They also were allowed 50m2 (538 sq ft) underground so that is the next phase of the project. Though it's being created using all natural light (from skylights) since it's supposed to be a cistern.
Thanks Kirsten! I am from Alicante myself and I was looking for house inspiration, then I stumbled across this one video. PS. Any updates on the basement? : )
@@chantik Hola! I'm from Barcelona area and I'm seriously looking to do something like this, any websites you'll recommend we're they have "Casa de aperos" for sale? Thank you, Cristian :)
Excellent video as always! I love looking at all the places people store things. Some people have never understood the luxury of having everything so close at hand because they've never lived in a small place. To say nothing of the sense of purpose and clarity that small efficient designs can impart. Thanks for the inspiration!
I love the bathroom. Perfect sized, tucked away under the stairs for a room rarely used, yet still has a full size shower. for a "shed" with few windows, they ones it does have are perfectly placed. Very nice work and very well thought out spaces.
I have seen this house before years ago. I don't remember if it was as fancy as this but I still love it, especially that bedroom. I also love the small oven over the fireplace 😍😍. Whenever they move, I will gladly take it off of their hands.
This place is just brilliant, I would love tho spend a whole month there. Very romantic and very cozy, love the outdoor shower. The view down the mountain is breath taking, Spanish: me gusto mucho es maravilloso.
Hi, Greet from Indonesia. My imagination always loves to make my future-dream house about mix this with the abandoned hayloft on Costa Brava estate and the abandoned stable video you've posted. Can't surf on youtube without your channel anyway. Favourite!
Auditya Gunawan You already live in a beautiful and warm country (with a fantastic cuisine), so if I were you, I’d let this house inspire me and build my own dream house on a mountain slope looking out at the sea. :-)
This is really a nice place. I recently drew plans to convert an old barn on my mother's property. Had all the estimates for completion and assured her I would have my own utility connections. It is 400' from her house. She liked the design, but said no. Unfortunately she said she didn't want me for a neighbor.
It looked like they were very worried with the building code, so they kept saying and trying to find how to say it was technically a tool shed, It was cringe eatching, though.
Francisco Francesconi yeah because if you want to build a real House you cant build it in the campside you have to build it in allowed zones to that purpose (urbanizable in spanish) and you have to pay lot of taxes and It takes longer because you have to deal with burocracy
Pete Mavus this home is like buying a 125cc motorbike just because its legal to drive with just the car driving licence. If you want the full experience get ready for the State messing around with taxes, licenceses, bureaucracy...
Stone is beautiful for sure, cool in summer, cold in winter but great place,, love it. Put solar heat in the walls and you have super place. Out buildings add your place a castle. Few animals, garden, trim trees, yea great life
I would guess that at the tallest point it isn't more than 16 feet high. I'm about 6 feet tall and on both floors there was probably about 2 feet above my head (at the highest point upstairs.. there was less near the head of the bed where it slopes down).
Kirsten, It is so refreshing that even after you put so much quality into the creation of these wonderfully informative videos that you also clarify, further educate and allow us to share the same thirst and joy with your ongoing replies to our comments. You too are a joy and like a few others ( Jay Shafer, Bryce etc.) true RUclips Gems! Thank You for ALL YOU DO ! Stay Well, Sincerely, Pete.

The idea of keeping the materials consistent with the environment is unique and that's what makes it 'one' with its surroundings. Good job!!
What a beautiful and simple house. Just watching this video gave me the sense of peace I so crave.
My God! The skill to build that shed! 95% of houses aren't built that well. I would be proud to call that home.
Dave Underwood It's too expensive to build that way nowdays, materials&craftsmanship
It's a sweet feeling when people love their house
Great job guys...👍👍😉😉
