Bias Confirmation is a heck of a drug. The kaylon are paranoid about being enslaved again, they'll only look at the bad biological actions, and overlook the good actions, to justify their invasion.
Not only that, but they took over their own planet and killed all the life forms there. because they were being tortured and abused. If these robots truly had no emotion and don't care why would they suddenly want to take over their entire planet. Also why would they so easily to take down one of their own as if they were nothing, if they had felt so strongly to rise up against their creators. They're treating Isaac the wame way they were treated. Simply to serve purpose then to be discarded when not needed anymore.
That is all true but in a matter of speaking, the Kaylons are living with their, "hearts on their sleeves". The torture from their creators has left them truly, damaged. Even though these organics are trying their best to keep a friend among them, The Kaylon cannot move past what they see as...abuse.
I find it ironic the kaylon used Isaac as a means to an end, while they themselves rebelled against the builders because they were used. I'm not saying this is intentionally a commentary on the cycle of abuse, but it sure feels like it.

Of COURSE the kids would act out if they had been taught that "it's good to act that way". Have you seen how kids act without supervision? Now imagine a supervision that ENCOURAGED that kind of activity. That's why I have a problem with the whole thing. The kids could have been taught to BE BETTER. And I'm not even touching the infants. And you can bet there were infants. On a planet of millions, if not billions, new infants are delivered every minute. And yet those were killed too. About the whole thing with "the Kaylons fought the abusers and then became abusers themselves", I feel like you have to remember that they are a hive mind/colony. They felt oppressed and/or in danger from their creators so they destroyed them. The danger to whole colony is a danger indeed but the danger to a unit is acceptable.

Design reason: to help the audience not to confuse Isaac with the other kaylon. World-building reason: Isaac was built by other kaylon, not the original builders, so his hardware is different. Some people also think Isaac's blue eyes represents innocence he possesses, but the other kaylon lost.
I mean, I would assume the agreement by which Isaac was placed as liaison with them still stands, so it would make for a breach of the agreement for them to just take him back.

The worst kind of robots you can create are these kinds, the kind who view life as "meaningless." Its the stupidest, most boring cliché imaginable and it automatically ruins anything that uses it. Please never integrate this kind of robots into yiur writing unless you intend to make fun of hiw stupid it is.
