Just bought Model Y in Quicksilver. It is available in Dual Motor and Performance models for additional $2K. Quicksilver is not offered in Long Range model.
Thank you for your post on the MYP in quicksilver. I have been enjoying them as I awaited delivery of mine. Today was my delivery date in Kansas City. It was the only quicksilver on the lot and it was beautiful. Seeing it in person makes you appreciate the richness of the color. I ordered several of the same accessories based on your youtube post. Thank you again for sharing your vision for your Tesla Y performance.
You’re welcome and thanks for watching. We all watch the videos before collection as it helps to ease the pain a little while you are waiting for delivery day. You don’t get to appreciate just how stunning the car is until you see it in real life. When the car is in direct sunlight it makes the car look simply stunning
Get PPF Paint Protection Film on the front end and bottom of the rear doors immediately! Also go to your local tire shop and purchase a tire warranty. Chances are you will need it!
@@RayNLA Thanks for your comment -I did contemplate PPF and still might go for it. The roads in the Uk aren’t as vast as the States and tend not to have to much debris on them. This is the 4th Tesla I’ve had and to be fair apart from a couple of minor stone chips, I’ve had no issues
Great colour and great review. I'm in Canada and am one of the relatively small number of people who got a Shanghai built Model Y. A single motor RWD. It is perfect. My only complaint is that I didn't know the RWD would come without the new "Comfort Suspension." The old suspension is hard to tolerate. I'd like to trade for a Quicksilver Dual Motor, but we can't get the Shanghai car anymore.
Looks great! I just dropped off our 2 weeks old ‘24 Y Performance in QS (but w/ white seats) for ceramic paint protection and front windows tint to match rear windows’ subtle darkness. We’ll put on an anti-glare touch screen protector, Tesla’s small triangular pre-cut PPF for rear sides, and their front mud flaps, also. We had already put on our Martian MW03 black 20” forged wheels and installed our all weather mats the day we took delivery (all moved over from our previous Y). That’ll probably be everything that we do to this Y. It’ll be our only car in our household for 6 years in Florida, USA. We might consider a Model S in 2030 if they’re still being made and seem worth the premium price. Enjoy your QS Y-P!
On autopilot or FSD, the in cabin camera is a good thing. It's amazing but Tesla knows if your looking at your phone vs. just glancing different directions. It almost ammediately comes up with 'pay attention' if you pickup your phone. Also, it has stopped me a few times from staring at the center screen too long. So These reasons seem legitamate to me. I'm keeping the camera on. Great video by the way, and your Y is awesome.
Thanks for your comment. It is there for the right reasons, however it sometimes chastises me if I’m not holding the steering wheel tight enough. Personally I found the warning system before the software update came in ample as it still did the job. That’s the beauty of owning a Tesla lol 😂 it will always divide opinions and create debate 👍
It’s good to hear the suspension, ride quality and cabin noise have improved. These 3 points along with the dismal service Tesla provide are reasons I regret buying my 2019 Model 3 Performance.
Not sure if and when deliveries will happen from Berlin. I know the boat the car came on was from Shanghai. Also shanghai vin numbers always start with LRW. Hope this helps answer your question 👍
just received my performance QS last friday from germany - from your video it seems all production factories are very well aligned, all of your points confirm my first 100 mile experience. My personal only niggle: parking forward without the sensors, and just the cameras, is a pain - my garage has winter tires in the corner, and the tesla starts telling me to stop half a meter before. Other than that, just a perfect car.
Hi, thanks for posting. Waiting for our MYP QS as well so nice to see your car and the things you did to it. I was wondering, no issues with having no front USS and no front (bumper) camera?
Thanks for your kind words. I find Tesla vision to be far the superior option to USS. My last 3 Tesla’s all had sensors and I wouldn’t swap back. Love it 👍
@@Sunderland1963 ah okay. Great to hear. I saw a video and the Tesla had hard times when there was a low height object in front of the car and when people were standing almost leg to bumper with the car but let’s see how it will be. Wish it had a front bumper camera though. Thanks for the reply
Nice review, and super nice car. I love that colour. I don't like silver cars per say but that's a different kind of silver. I'm still on my first Tesla (model 3 SR+ midnight silver) and as long as funds allow, it certainly won't be my last.
That’s the car I started my Tesla Journey and had to be my favourite as it introduced me to a whole new driving experience. Thanks for your kind comments
@@jonlatke4093 - must admit I was a bit apprehensive about doing it but it was really easy. This is how I done it - I used a hot hair dryer and heated up the T on the back till it was too hot to touch. I then used some cotton or you can use fishing line by keeping it tight between both hands and just do a sawing action down the back of the Tesla T pulling towards me slightly as I did it. If you feel resistance just reheat the T and repeat the process until it comes off. You then just gentle wipe of the adhesive with hot water and a cloth. It may take some time but don’t rush it. The installation was ridiculously simple as the kit comes with a stencil and instructions that even someone like me could follow😂 Rear Boot/Trunk TESLA Emblem Full... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B432P1BJ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Great point I forgot to mention they are a lot better. They seem to come on and go off when they should, where as before they had a mind of their own

Back mudflaps ❤
They don’t come with a Model Y instead they come with PPF at the sides. Must work as I never had any issues with debris damaging my last model Y.
They are so cheap, gives it more body styling and protects the paint.
