🏆Do you think the Mazda CX-50 potential drawbacks outweigh its strengths for your needs?🤔 🔴It’s unfair for the 2025 Subaru Outback to be this good WATCH HERE 👉 ruclips.net/video/FLSLp3rLIjs/видео.html
It sounds more likely a YOU problem. Alone with the price, you got everything you need in a car. I have no issue with my CX-50. It has a comfy ride, good cornering ability. I would definitely recommend this car.
it isn't his problem the CX-50 is a nightmare, mine has never worked properly since day one, terrible electronic issues and Mazda customer service sucks,
@@MKB1L . CVT is usually implemented by a belt or chain (sleazy mechanical CVT) that actually counts on FRICTION to work. Not a good strategy. Long term reliability has been very poor. Most Toyota (and Ford) hybrids provide CVT action (called eCVT) to their gasoline assist engine using a planetary gearset and an electric motor to run the sun gear. These are very reliable (even the old Ford Model T used them). The main electric traction motor is direct drive to the drive axle (the same as most battery electric cars). These hybrids are electric cars with gasoline engine assist (and no need (or ability) to plug in to the grid). They get all of their energy from gasoline and get great fuel economy.
I would consider one with the Camry hybrid drive train (also used in the Rav4, Sienna, Crown, Avelon, ES300, Vensa, and some Lexus SUVs). The problem with the Turbo models is that they come with a turbo.
The touchscreen is no issue at all. It’s configurable in the settings. The CX-50 is as off-road capable as its competitors in the segment except perhaps the Subarus.
Correct! There is an option in settings allowing you to use the touchscreen while driving as well. Majority of reviewers are too lazy to read the manual and advertise (wrongly) as not having this option!!!
yeah people are spoiled by hp, did you know a v8 thunderbird in the late 70's had only like 173 HP and a 1986 2.3 inline mustang had only 88HP and the cx50 base trim has 187. its more than enough
We traded in our 2020 Forester for the 2024 CX-50 which is much better. The Forester had both front seat stitching starting to come apart at 3 years and 32,000 miles, electronics were akward to use and CVT transmission was not as good as the Mazda automatic. We also have a 2015 Mazda3 with 150,000 miles which our daughter drives and still runs like new. Our daughter drove the CX-50 and now wants a 2025 CX-50.
My forester was a lemon. Very unfortunate since Subaru usually has a great reputation. I couldn’t justify putting more money into it. I pick up my cx50 Monday. Looking forward to it.
My wife got the top turbo model. With 256 hp is has more hp than other compact suvs. The interior and driving characteristics are very similar to my Porsche Macan. The topped out model listed for $48,000 which is a great deal considering its interior, power., and handling.
Thank you for this! We are trying to decide between the CX-50 and the Outback. Not happy about the Outback’s CVT, but needed to hear the shortcomings of the CX-50 to see which we can live with.
Got a ‘24 AWD and it will corner like a sports car. You can adjust the settings and it surprised me what you can turn off. Runs better on 89 octane. Got 28 mpg in mixed driving with the A/C. Probably get better when I toss in the K&N.
Better a medium duty six speed than a light duty eight speed. If you need more power get a hemi jeep, which will also take care of your off-road desire. Ed c
imo, it is the best looking SUV in its class but the rotary controller and low profile tires are deal breakers. The roads near me eat low profile tires.
We bought the Meridian. Biggest selling point was the turbo and NOT a cvt. It not being a mud slinging, rock bouncer is the least of my concerns. The infotainment is just a matter of adapting and overcoming the design. It’s still usable. Inside is def a premium feel. It’s amazing.
I live in Canada and I have always driven BMW’s, now left the brand because of too many car theft. I have a CX-50 and I love it. Not as premium but a great drive, definitely!
Think I'll keep my Cx30. 44mpg highway , 36 mpg in town (Imperial Gallons). Our 8th Mazda, zero issues. 5 have had the control knob which can be used without taking your eyres off of the road. Not a fan of touch screen especially when wearing gloves in the winter.Yes there are tech screen friendly gloves if you want to hit 2 icons at once. We don't off road or tow, so no issues there. Don't need a turbo for premium fuel. But it';ll run on regular said the young sales rep. My son has a CX-5 & I drove it a fair bit, but the CX30 fits us better. Just my 5 cents worth (inflation)
Honestly speaking, I don't mind the knobs for volume and temp control. Being a techie I do not like to select 20 menus to change temp or increase the volume for example. Vehicles with more tech will become a problem with maintenance. Japanese cars are reliable mostly
We love our cx-50 and I found all of these "reasons" as non-issues, the engine is wonderful, fuel efficiency is a few mpg under the new 2025 hybrid version, infotainment is easy and intuitive, etc. I highly recommend a non-turbo CX-50 for those on the edge between vehicle and another in its class.
I wanted a mazda3 but after looking how small they are I decided on the cx-50 based on its looks, it sjust a commute car for me I dont go off road with it. I like the features I have the lowest select trim 2024 radar cruise control and lane warnings if you put your blinkers on and someone is in your blindspot it will chime, my only complaint is the interior windows fogs up really fast on damp days, but this is the 1st non car I have bought. maybe thats a crossover and suv thing
I dont seem to have any problems with it. I dont know when it activates the feature. I look at my MPG on the instrument panel and when it goes over 40 mpg I guess its activated
I bought the CX-50 for the base engine without a turbo that has enough power for the vehicle, even a sport mode if needed but great on highway and mpgs are good. The trans is a 6 speed and not a CVT like Honda, Toyota, and Subaru or the dreadful Nissan CVT. It has tons of standard safety features, all wheel drive, and the engine will last a long time. I’m not trying to offroad the thing, just take it to a park and setup camp. Solid vehicle overall.
1) my cup does not fit in the cup holder 2)I got stuck in three feet of snow3) I posted a pic of my Mazda on social media and the car did not thumb up the pic 4) I met a girl that would date me if my car was a different color 5) my phone took more than 2 and a half seconds to connect 6) the dealership forced me to buy it 7) I work for Ford and am paid to slander 8) I don't even own one - i just make videos and have a bad attitude
dont really think it is designed to tow anything. sure if can tow a tiny trailer but if you really want to tow something get a full sized SUV or large pick up
Frustrating infotainment? Dude...touchscreens SUCK while driving! We've only test driven one of these and the controls were just so intuitive! It does have touchscreen...just turns off by default while moving...but they give you the option to turn it on.
I love Mazdas currently I have a 2015 Mazda3 2.0 skyactiv engine with 295,000 Miles and still runs like a top. I never have any problem. I am looking to buy another Mazda with Skyactiv engine SUV. Nothing this guy says will stop me from buying a CX5 or CX50 with 17in wheels. I don't like big wheels because they're not made for potholes and rough roads. Boo to this video 👎. Maybe this video is a scam and asking Mazda to pay in order for him to remove this video.
Instead of giving your viewers a honest, unbiased review you’re just being a contrarian. You’ve seen others rave about it, you’ve seen that it’s highly rated. So you make a disingenuous video for clicks.
Bought my 24’ CX50 last March and had no issues with it besides a slight rattling noise in my driver door panel, mechanically speaking is awesome. Took it on “its trial by fire” through the Colorado Rockies I-70 and the desert between Utah, Arizona and California (through back roads) and this vehicle handled sooooo awesome, not to mention that I was moving too so my car was fully packed with all I could fit with back seats down and my friend as passenger and backup driver for the trip, I was scared that the car wasn’t going to be able to handle the ups and down through the Rockies and some in the desert with high temperatures (110F max) but HECK YEAH IT DID!!!! A/C on all the time and when through back roads in small towns yk changing speeds between 65mph to 45mph and back, so annoying tbh but the CX50 took it like a champ not to mention that the steering dynamics were so much fun, also fuel economy in the entire trip was amazing around 34mpg and filled up 3 times in the entire trip. That’s my opinion, and if you ask me “should I buy one?” I will 100% say YES BUY IT! Hope this helps. 🫶🏼

Is it actually good on gas though? I'm about to buy one tomorrow and that's the deciding factor.
We love our CX-50 plenty of power in select trim. Meets our need. And no cvt.
6 speed?
Why does it seem like everyone says CVT is bad? Honestly curious why

Love my CX50 so far. I've always had good luck with Mazdas. Very reliable. IMO it's the best looking in it's class too.
Definitely best looking
These comments disagree HARD. A testament to how much people love this car 🤷🏽
None of these 8 reasons are going to keep me from buying one. None are important

Not a single valid point.
I own one. Love it! Can’t get enough of it. Puts a smile on my face. That’s all that matters.
Agree 100%
Is the gas efficiency decent?

Watched this video to the end and did not hear about any serious issue to not buy. Nitpicking is all I heard.
I have a Non Turbo CX-50 and have a lot of power even in mountain 🏔️ roads. None of those reasons are a real deal to avoid buy one.

@@blakespowerAdd to that the fact that those old iron block V8s were heavier engines.
Is the mpg actually good though? I haven't got a specific answer, thanks
This list doesn’t make sense at all. The cx50 everymans weekend getaway suv. Unless you got the money for the Benz roadster.
If that's all the negatives, I'll be driving a Hybrid CX50 when they arrive
Love my Meridian! Plenty of power and not a CVT
HAd to laugh before I even pulled the video up. Obviously not a Mazda driver,
The CX-50 does have touchscreen. Only touch compatible when stopped. Love our CX-50 and the base 2.5 is plenty for around town.
Actually just discovered you can turn touchscreen on all the time. It’s just under settings. Nice to have both options.
Is it actually decent on gas around the city?
I'm a European car guy, but I love these. This was not a good video. This was a lol of subjectiveness meant to farm viewers.

Super Duper Disappointing Voiceover (that sounds seriously artificial). Just unwatchable, unfortunately.
