M. Night Shyamalan brings together the narratives of two of his standout originals-2000’s Unbreakable, from Touchstone, and 2016’s Split, from Universal-in one explosive, all-new comic-book thriller: Glass.
From Unbreakable, Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn as does Samuel L. Jackson as Elijah Price, known also by his pseudonym Mr. Glass. Joining from Split are James McAvoy, reprising his role as Kevin Wendell Crumb and the multiple identities who reside within, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Casey Cooke, the only captive to survive an encounter with The Beast.
Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men.
Joining the all-star cast are Unbreakable’s Spencer Treat Clark and Charlayne Woodard, who reprise their roles as Dunn’s son and Price’s mother, as well as Golden Globe Award winner Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story series).
This riveting culmination of his worldwide blockbusters is produced by Shyamalan and Blumhouse Production’s Jason Blum, who also produced the writer/director’s previous two films for Universal. They produce again with Ashwin Rajan and Marc Bienstock, and Steven Schneider and Kevin Frakes, who executive produce. Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum also serve as executive producers.
A Blinding Edge Pictures and Blumhouse production, Glass will be released by Universal Pictures in North America on January 18, 2019, and by Buena Vista International abroad.

The movie builds up your expectations into thinking that there's going to be this huge dramatic showdown at high rise building in the city and then it does the complete opposite of that. I like that. It's really like it was deconstructing the big budget superhero movie genre.

@DrinkwithaMexican an underrated film is not the same as best film. You don't have to see every movie ever made to have an opinion on what's underrated. In fact, the more a movie is seen by audiences, the more likely for it to be underrated or overrated. Mainstream films like Unbreakable that have been seen in full theatrical releases but considered bad or average usually make the top of people's lists. Obscure movies that are generally overlooked but considered gems don't necessarily count as being underrated.

We knew Avengers 4 was coming a decade ago. Until Split came out, no one knew this was going to come, especially after M Night's decline. It was probably the most pleasant suprised because it wasn't announced 20 years in advance like everything else nowadays. We don't know what's going to happen. That's why it's so great.

Wasn't there a scene in Split where Kevin indicates that his father was killed in a train crash? Possibly the same train crash caused by Mr. Glass that revealed David's powers in Unbreakable?

Kevin lost his father in the train accident and was abused by his mother. Unbreakable actions are gonna be spoken here, and Kevin with his mother comes out in Unbreakable well a theory.
That's the reason why the Unbreakable film series has been dubbed as "Eastrail 177 Trilogy". Somehow all three of main characters namely, David Dunn, Elijah Price and Kevin Wendell Crumb are connected. The *Eastrail* *#177* *Train*
Though unconfirmed, there's a scene in Unbreakable that I'm pretty sure introduced Kevin as a child. The moment when David is standing at the stadium, a woman in red walking with her child bumps into him. Upon touching you can clearly hear the cries of multiple children, them most likely being the other voices in Kevin's head. The movie even takes a moment for David to look back at them in surprise.

I was born in 2006, (yes I'm 12 years old), and I've seen almost every superhero movie..but I can't believe I've never watched Unbreakable. I've seen Split and etc, but now I've to watched Unbreakable. The Avengers 4 trailer just came out and it's nowhere near as good as this, nor is the new Aquaman.

When I realised at the end of 'Split' that It was connected to 'Unbreakable' I nearly creamed myself. I just love that genuine heartpounding nature of Shyamalan's work that has has you clenching your whole body in anticipation of what is going to jump out at you next, and 'Glass' is going to take us to cardiac arrest level from the snippets we have seen.

This M. Night Shyamalan really pulled a big white rabbit out of the hat with "Split" - a great movie that turned utterly fantastic in the last few seconds with the reveal that it was a "sideways sequel" to "Unbreakable". A lot of people felt let down by most of his movies since David Dunn and Elijah Price appeared on the screen.
What M. Night did was whet the appetites of a lot of the fans of his original movies. "Glass" is either going to be a feast or leave people with a bitter taste in their mouth. Based on these trailers, it looks more like feast. Barring some possibly negative reviews in the weeks before its released (I HOPE NOT), this movie could end up pulling in a record January box office.
But then, most of us average moviegoers don't trust critics anymore with their biased ratings.
Saddly in an age when a movie needs to follow the patterns of MCU/Disney in order to get good reviews its gonna be hard to be a hit... But remember people don't trust the critics and make an opinion by yourself

In terms of crossovers, yes infinity war wins. But in terms of character design, not visual but in narrative, I think we can all agree... Both Glass and the Beast are way more of a well written villain than Thanos himself and that David Dunn is a more relate-able character than Iron Man, Captain America, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, and Antman all combined

I hope there are others that enjoyed Glass as well. This is so far my second favorite movie of 2019 I really enjoyed this movie a lot. Not as fantastic as Unbreakable but still a damn good movie

To be honest I'm more excited about this film than any other. I think this is going to be an absolute success. I hope I love it as much as I love Unbreakable and Split.
Nah, Avengers will be a time reset to save everyone, and Aquaman won't have this level of philosophy and psychology.
Legendary Fanboy marvel had so many chances to make a better movie than unbreakable and they couldnt. So i give benefit of doubt shyamalan.
Aquaman looks amazing and needs to be seen on IMAX. We haven't seen anything of A4 yet. More than any of these, Glass has my utmost attention.
