I'm on the carnivore diet for about 3 months now. I eat a ribeye with 3 eggs over easy every single day. I always do it in the air fryer, for me it's at 400 degrees and I do 4 minutes, then flip and do another 3 minutes. Comes out at about 132 degrees for me which is just the way I like it. The whole thing is done in 7 minutes and turns out awesome every time. Only way to go.
We watched the video today then went right out and got a ribeye to give it a try. It worked amazing! I lined the bottom with foil and used the grill insert. Delicious and tender. My wife is a HUGE steak fan and her only suggestion was a quick sear right after. Thanks for the video!
When I come back from working my outdoors 10 hours job in 10 or less degrees, or after being in the pouring cold season rain all day long, that’s the perfect time for an air fried steak! Complaints about no sear marks on the steak? Easy solution: I bought a flat pan designed for searing steaks on a stovetop. And I do the reverse searing thinghy, with some liquid smoke in the pan. I always pick thinner steaks just for cooking in the air fryer. Summer coming, I enjoy drinking beer in shorts and tshirt, while watching the tomahawk steak getting yummy on the charcoal. It’s a perfect time for everything 🤗
Great video. Sometime back I did a ribeye in my air fryer. I sprayed it with canola oil and put the air fryer on 400°. I also let the air fryer pre-heat for about 15 minutes on 400° temp before putting my steak in there. Got the best sizzle ever. With the canola oil spray and letting the air fryer pre-heat, I got a medium rare steak with an excellent millard reaction that would make anyone happy just looking at it.
Welcome to HeyAirFryHey..... 🤣 I agree with your conclusion. I'll air fry my steaks during the winter when the weather is miserable and I enjoy them, but once summer is back then I'm back outside with the grills!
Looks fine to me. People sometimes got to try new stuff with an open mind. I saw the vids of cooking bacon nice and crispy by adding water to the pan. It absolutely works.
I use mine almost daily to cook Steak, Chicken, fish, shrimp etc. being mainly Keto its just so much easier than firing up the grill, i still prefer charcoal or a smoker but like you said im not mad at the steak out of the air fryer its juicy and delicious and take 12-15 minutes so convenient.
I do this often. Very lightly oiling the steak helps develop a nice dark crust. Clarified butter or ghee probably best. AF also great for searing cherry tomatoes, green beans and other veggies with minimal time, effort, and mess. AF veggies while steak rests. Works out well.
I use my air fryer all the time. I did baby back ribs last night, the smaller and thinner the rack the better. Cut in two rib pieces, season and add seasoned bread crumbs to coat, round can, let set at room temp before frying, Preheat airfryer @ 375, spray ribs with oil, cook meat side down For 12 min, open flip cook 10 -12 min. more, For thicker baby back ribs add 2-3 min. more per side. I add sauce at the table. Crispy outside so tender. Inch thick pork Rib chops same thing, 5-6 min. per side. You need to spray oil on things in the air fryer.
the instant pot is the only way I'll do mashed potatoes: large cubes, water to my first knuckle, high pressure for 12 min, quick release, mash right in the pot with whatever you like
Poor Todd, he’s so sad about the air fryer cook. Go grill him a steak, he’s a good boy. Is this the birth of heyairhey? Looking forward to heymicrohey too. Susie: “Moisture dripping down my chin.” Todd: Susie: todd we are about to commit a sin Todd: on camera? Nice save on not saying again todd. Enjoy the weekend and hi todd.
I purchased an instant pot air fryer... quality, right? Nope! I cleaned and broke it in as directed by the manual. The air fryer stunk up my entire house with burnt plastic smell. I cleaned and ran it outside 6 more times, same. It ruined food, plastic chemical taste and horrible smell. Junk.

I have an air fryer that I have yet to use and this has given me the motivation to try a ribeye on it to start with.
Air fryer cooking is addictive. You've been warned.

We have cooked steaks in the air fryer and it works really well. As you said, it lacks the "grill taste" but they are very juicy.
Will try!
Looks like a must try
Interesting experiment.

Wow! I am going to try this!
Wonder if you could do this as the last step for a reverse sear? Smoke it low and slow to just under how done you like then finish in the air fryer?
You are actually making a good case for reverse searing a steak, first air fryer and then searing in cast iron pan.
I cut my rib eye into cubes… air fry it, comes out perfect!
Most apartment buildings wont allow grills, so this is a great opportunity for them!

I had an air fryer around 32 years ago it it was the bomb!~
I do this a lot. I have even cooked frozen NY STRIP in the air fryer.
Interesting. How about an Instapot?
Light up some charcoal!! We do like trout/salmon in the air fryer though. Roasts sweet potatoes pretty quick too.
I’m trying that and a pork chop
Have some reverse sire steaks on the smoke now. Popping 1 off for the air frier! Blind taste test with the wife!
Only way I will try it is finish it off on the grill with a quick sear.
And don't forget instant pot mashed potatoes
Microwave

You don’t have to like her but Makhaila Peterson has good rib eye and steak recipes for air fryer.
@roadrashr6 I like her though :)
@@datrumpet5 I do too. She’s cool and cuts through the bs.
yeah plant fruit tree or vegetables plant like tomato

Probably convenient if you are on the lion diet (only beef and salt). Google Mikhaila Peterson!
Nope.

This ain’t the place to file your complaint lmao, email the company or get another fryer
Looks bad
