The story behind this song is about a man who believed he was ugly, and stayed in his castle all the time. when he needed to go outside, he'd cover his face with a mask because he was too ashamed.
he owns a garden infront of his castle that grows a unique blue flower. one day, he saw a beautiful woman stealing the flowers from his garden. he was enraged, so he put his mask on and followed her to see what she would do with it. it turned out that she was poor and was selling the flower to make a living. the man felt bad, so he planted lots of these flowers in his garden. the woman would come to his garden everyday to take the flowers, and he eventually fell in love with her, but he was too ashamed of his face to confess his love to her so he just watched her from afar.
one day the woman stopped visiting his garden. the man became confused, so he put his mask on, and left his garden to find her. he discovered that she had passed away. the man was heartbroken, and was so angry at himself that he didn't confess his love for her before it was too late. So in the end, we all should know how to love ourselfs to then be able to love others.

Jimin singing this line is so heartbreaking if you know his problems, he has been dealing with self issues for so many years, he really thought that he was not beautiful or pretty, that without his extreme exhausting diets , that without his body being mascular and good looking nobody would like and appreciate him! He has been thinking so much, he even had depression cuz of this, he thought that his one and only advantage is his body!

I really love this song so much. It's one of my fav vocal line songs. The emotions, the lyrics and the story is really heartwarming. Their voice really fits to this song. A little note for The truth untold: You should watch that one when in the tumbnail Tae has got blueish/menta hair. I like it more than this because in that Tae is sooo extra. He sing a really high note in the end of his verse and he sings with Jin in the second part instead of Jungkook. I don’t know why but I love that more. Maybe I was a little bit sad for Tae hasn’t got too much lines.

there’s actually a story behind this song! i cant exactly remember what its called but u have a good idea of it! (: its about a young ‘ugly’ prince that has a garden full of flowers and then theres a girl that sees his flowers and decides to take one for someone i think? but its a bit like beauty and the beast except he wears a mask all the time. then she doesnt come one day and he stops seeing her after and regrets not showing her his truth 🥺 its something like that and i rlly love it. if someone can fill in any mistakes i made for Rachel to understand, i’d be thankful (,: 💜💜
She was poor and stole the flowers to sell so he made a super extravagant flower that didn't exist yet for her to come amd pick so she could sell it for lots of money but she never came. He later found out that she had died of starvation. The message was that you have to love yourself before you're able to love other, if he had the confidence he could have talked to her and thing might have been different
