Guys, it seems that we’re all talking about different things here. The reactor is talking about the layers of pre recorded voices (back vocals). If you listen closely, you’ll hear that there is another Jin singing with Jin. She’s not talking about TaeTae’s add libs. It’s all about the layers of voices that seems part of the instrumental of the song. If y’all try to listen behind their live voices, you’ll hear it, almost like it’s echoing their voices. She thought it was too loud, almost confusing their live voices. It’s just her opinion.
But me, I think otherwise. For me the additional voices are perfect and bring out all the emotions the song intends. The additional voice makes it really chaotic, just like the feelings of this part the lyrics, where the masked guy realizes he will never be able to show himself to his loved one, because she died.
But she used the "there is only 1 person on camera so obviously only one person is singing logic" If she is gonna stick with that logic (which to me is overly simplistic) She is gonna miss out on a lot

oliver wenzel // 🤦🏻♀️ she is not wrong, you can hear the background vocals echoing Jin’s voice even before V starts doing the ad libs. She even said that she noticed the layers in Jin’s voice before V even brought the mic up to start singing so she is clearly aware that Jin wasn’t the only one singing in that part.

she was right though. in the beginning of jins 2nd verse, that’s when tae lifted his mic to harmonize but you can clearly see when the camera is panned to a wide shot and jin starts there’s only a back up vocal in the first 3-4 words. I don’t believe she’s saying the whole verse had a backing vocal because that would be false.
At the end of Jin's and Jimin's parts, you can hear layers to their voices. The harmonization that V and Jungkook did was live. Please listen again carefully and don't confuse the two. :)

jimin is known for a little drag and flick at the end of his vocals which makes him GREAT at singing sad songs 😭
You're right, Jungkook has a very breathy style. They all have very unique voices (from eachother). As Jungkook is the main vocalist he usually does a lot of the adlibs, harmonizing. On their Make It Right performance at the Stephen Colbert show Suga (rapper) wasn't satisfied with the harmonizing of his rap with the played mix so Jungkook did harmonize with him live instead for example.

The moment you said background vocals came in, V (on the far left) also started singing with Jin. However, camera was only focused on Jin so you couldn't see well.

To appreciate taehyungs unique tone like u said he has sadly this isnt the song cause he barely has lines in it I suggest u should check out some of his solo songs stigma and singularity in live performances
It's pretty commmon for large groups to have one deep low singer that doesn't have many solos. Often times this is because he needs to sing more of the underlying base notes of the song. Once he stop signing then the music often will feel slightly empty. Idk if that's exactly true for BTS but that's very common for large singing groups

oliver wenzel IKR Taehyung does get a good amount of lines... the only person who gets the least is jin and even then in the recent years he’s gotten more but it also has to do with who’s the main vocal lead vocal etc.
@@denzelwenzel Hmm I understand your point, but in this song only 4 members are singing. The song lasts 4:03 minutes and he sings only 28 seconds, also the song has no choreography, so he must stand still for the other 3:75 minutes.
It is not like that in general he receives too many lines, normally with jin they are those that have less lines.
I'm actually a casual listener. From the songs I've heard (quite a lot actually because they are good), IF you really analyze it objectively, V SEEMS to have good amount of lines in them. But ultimately this is because his voice IS very distinct. Distinct and memorable. So that's why most ppl THINK that he has a good number of lines, even though that's not true.

I believe they felt the need to add background vocals in this song (only at the last part, where it picks up) because it used to come at a point of the concert where they'd already been singing and dancing to some pretty hype songs for at least an hour and a half, so I bet it's not only difficult because of the tiredness, but also because it's kind of a big mood change.
One thing I really like in BTS's vocal line is that the four of them have really different voices from one another. Once you start to listen to them more, you can never mistake who's singing what, unless they put some kind of effect in the voice recording for stylistic purposes. Often times in their songs, one of them will sing a section, then when that section comes up again they chose someone else to do it, and so the part always has a different and fresh feeling, not only because each singer approaches the lyrics and melody differently, but also because their voices are just so naturally distinct from each other. This way, their songs are never boring and never feel repetitive, because in all the 3 minutes of a song, there'll always be something new to hear. Though they're not what is considered powerhouse vocalists, I believe this interesting type of quality to their singing is what sets them apart in the vocal department, because I can honestly say I don't hear many voices like theirs in the market right now.
The one you pointed out that has a very different tone is V. His tone really is very different since he is the only baritone in the group, so his deep voice stands out. The other one you found distinguished was Jimin, who is a very light tenor. The tone of his singing voice is very high pitched (he is almost considered a countertenor, though I don't believe he is) so not only he can hit some very very high notes, but he always adds a lot of flavor to the songs, so whatever verse he sings, he makes it his own. The two who have a more middle tone (compared to the others) are Jin and Jungkook. Jungkook is the main singer, he is the best at adlibs and he has the most stable vocals when singing and dancing at the same time, from chest to head voice. His breathy vocals are his signature, and his tone is generally very sweet, as opposed to Jin, who has a very metallic, nasal tone. Like Jimin, Jin is also very good in high notes, and he always nails ballads (though all four of them are very versatile).

@@SongsFromASuitcase Seriously, BTS is hyped. If you want great voices, listen to Bigbang. They're coming back this 2020 Coachella. You'll see the difference between these 2 groups. Big Bang is on a different level. Seriously, just listen to them especially Taeyang and Daesung's voice. BTS is known to lipsync and autotune (though their fans won't admit it! BTS members are good dancers, just very bad vocals). Thank you!

I love hearing people praising jin's voice (the one on the far right)! before joining bts he didn't have any background with singing, and he had to work hard to train his voice!

I loved seeing you react to them, but it's hard to find live performances of them without any of the backing vocals because majority of their songs include intense choreography and their concerts last about 2-3 hours. They use the backing vocals to give them a little bit of guidance and wiggle room as a result. But if you do decide to do another, please give a listen to the live version of Intro: Epiphany :) It's one of Jin's solo songs and he does really well!
Okay first off, sorry if you got backlash the Army are very protective of these boys and to be fair in a lot of cases it is needed. What I find is alot of people will choose to react to BTS and for people who genuinely want to give them a listen Army are welcoming and fair, but for the people who are just using BTS for views, clout or just outright meanness then no, Army will defend. My criticism is basically your choice of video to react to. The first one it was as I said in my last comment an aggressive song, heavily rap and dance based performed on a teeny tiny stage on a big American show. They had performed their new single Boy with Luv earlier in the evening and I am not sure why you would not have chose that one to listen to instead. Now for the Truth Untold, I took in your opinions and I can see you had some informative comments and some good advice. I am going to comment on "your paying money so you want to hear them live" comment though as I find it not called for in this case. When BTS does a concert they go all out, it is 2 and a half to 3 hours of intense singing, rapping, dancing and performing. So this song would have come in somewhere near the last quarter. As a fan of these boys if they had background vocals(which is just basically their own voices layered in, as any one who watches a behind the scene knows) on the track I would have still felt I got my money's worth after the first 4 songs because you can guarantee they were going full throttle for all of them. They will do as much as they can live as they never want to disappoint anyone but no one and I mean NO ONE could do the whole concert without some help period! They are incredible people and that is the main reason they have such a following, oh and the music is awesome as well. Thank you for giving this a listen, if you had chosen one with the lyrics you would have been blown away by the beauty of the entire piece.

omg u are so dramatic. If u can't take some criticism then leave. I knew it was a mistake for vocal coaches to react to bts because the amount of army that can't handle anyone criticizing bts. Literally it is their job to be able to perform for 3 hours straight and you have to get trained for so many hours to be able to achieve that. Literally every time someone gives professional critique on how bts's vocals were kind of off or not in tune, army always think the person is hating like no. If you can't handle professional criticism then don't watch the video.
TBH I've watched quite a good amount of vocal coaches react to BTS and their many performances. I believe that the more you listen to their songs the easier it is to differentiate their voices like I'm sure many armys can even read into how many members and who are layering the buildup. This is my first video of ma'am and I could see she didn't do much background research, I'm guessing to deliver an authentic reaction. But also she didn't criticize them. She commented on what she observed based on their singing and how much she knew them and so did OP. What op said wasn’t criticizing ma'am either. She just knows them better? We're not saying BTS never use BGV we're saying that we've only seen that in MVs and if they did, that's fine too. I individually found the video leaning more towards the entire "Backup Vocals" and finding slips of them compared to other vocal coaches I've watched who basically describe the technicalities behind the "vocals" so we can catch layers and it's useful for people who're in training. At first, I thought maybe it's my army ears standing because it's about our boys, but wasn't that. Anyway, I'm glad she's back into it even after the backlash which I know would've been brutal. And I just found more videos of her reactions so I'll check that out. It's good she's exploring them further! We need as many people to acknowledge this industry. Especially professionals.

Songs From A Suitcase thanks for your reaction. Jin does this triple high note in the song Crystal Snow. It’s awesome! Jin is probs my fav vocalist of BTS, though I’m an OT7. He’s got a very raw theatrical sound. At a concert last year, his solo song Epiphany went viral in Riyadh bc so many fans were impressed. It topped the iTunes Charts the next day. A bit about the other vocalists: Jungkook is the main vocalist, known for being the most stable while also dancing, and his voice is breathy, emotional, and consistent as heck! Jimin’s voice is a little higher, and really unique. I also hear him doing more...I’m not sure what to call them. He does these cute little growls during live performances sometimes, or throws in runs that you don’t expect - maybe vocally interesting is what you’d call it. Taehyung (stage name V) has the deep voice, with kind of an R&B flavor to it, and the greatest range probably. Anyhow, thanks for taking the time to react to these boys. Let me know if you’re looking for recommendations, I know a lot of their songs and can help in identifying the songs that include more vocals. I’ve seen other voice coaches on RUclips even comment on the rappers before (usually just stuff about how they’re producing diff noises, and how much tension RM has in his neck sometimes while rapping 😂). Side note: the rappers all pretend they’re horrible singers. They joke about being bad. But they’re filthy liars - I have heard all three rappers start singing for whatever reason (either just messing around, as part of a live performance, or even in some songs). All 3 sound good to me (admittedly I’ve zero knowledge of objective ‘good’ when it comes to singing, but they seem to be hitting the correct notes using a tone that sounds really nice to me as a consumer). So listening to the rappers sing might be entertaining to react to. Thanks again!

Sorry for the people who say that they don’t use backup vocals, of course they use it. especially with dancing songs but I really love BTS cause they always have their real vocals too and you are right there was some backup vocal while Jin was singing but that was just a tiny bit. Ok so obviously all singers use backup vocals sometimes but when you say “clearly there is more than one person singing therefore it is backing vocals” .........I just want to say that CLEARLY there is more than one person on stage. I don’t understand how you can’t tell that the other singers are singing with him. I can CLEARLY hear each individual voice as they come in. Sometimes it’s hard to tell if there are backing vocals but not on this one. Each member’s voice is very clear.
Check the first five syllables. That's where it should be only one person singing. :)
She did state that at the time the backing vocals came in only one person was singing. Tae was lifting his mic up to be able to sing, otherwise no one would hear him you know, but at that time only Jin was singing, JK had already put down his mic so he couldn't have been singing. Unless Hobi Yoongi or Namjoon was singing under the stage or something which is doubtful, unless of course you believe that more than them having backing vocals

@@SongsFromASuitcase why criticizes use of backup tapes to help with volume at concerts? Makes no sense. All artists do it or else they lip sync. We know BTS are horrible at lip syncing. In fact it's a joke in the fandom.
But I never heard any coach ever criticize artists for using backup tapes of their own vocals for stage/concert settings.
In S Korea on their televised shows its a requirement by broadcast show that all use them. Artists are not allowed not to.
I would like to know what concert you have been to where backup tapes not used. By the way I am a 65 year old music buff who has been to concerts.
Your statement that when going to a concert you expect life vocals throughout a concert I find mind boggling. I couldn't believe my eyes at seeing those words.
Now if an artist did a concert lip syncing I would issue but not using backup tape of their own vocals to give volume & help with the tiredness that occurs.
Donna, you obviously cherry picked the half comments you wanted to respond to. The reviewer clearly stated and talked about how she thinks backups of your own voices have their place particularly in live concerts to build the momentum for the viewer, she also stated as they were standing still while singing that the backups were too loud and not needed to be so loud as to drown out the live vocals. When live vocals are being offered they SHOULD be heard before the backup tracks. Also she stated she is not criticizing, she is giving an oppinion, and yes, when going to a live concert people do expect live singing. Its not mind boggling to expect it at all. Before the technology of backing tracks all concerts were live. Do we expect it today for the duration if the show? No. As the reviewer SAID if you had listened, there is a time for it such as during dance sequences, however they were standing still at this song and as such did they really need them? Her oppinion no, as they are so good and with obvious power at that point in time of the concert. She was complimenting, not criticizing. It seems too many people want to cherry pick instead of comprehend the whole.
What I love most about this is that they have been performing for atleast an hour before this full of choreographed songs and then too still be able to continue like this is amazing

Most of us are actually quite nice but there are some of us who are just immature or can't take it when someone says that they are doing something wrong. Like It's completely normal to make mistakes because from mistakes you learn and do better next time. No one is absolutely perfect. Yeah It's kind of sad that you had to experience this backlash but some of us can be a little too overprotective of them. But we are not bad people just some of us don't know how to respect an opinion and except that they are humans just like us and make mistakes just like us.Most of the times them being out of breath has to do with they're hard choreography. I ha e tried they're dancing and I don't know how they can sing at all while doing those dances like at the end of the song I just couldn't even stand anymore so I just welcomed the nice cold floor.

Just FYI, when you are at their concert you can hear them loud and clear over the back up vocals. It's very different from on screen mainly because of how these live performances are filmed/recorded

yAll i think she was right, there WERE backup vocals in this. Im no vocal coach, but there was clearly another subtle layer of vocals during that last vocals, APART from the adlibs that V did.
No it was the echo filter on their mics, I don't think she understands that that echo stayed throughout the whole performance.

the thing is, they do 2 hour 30 minute - 3 hour long concerts with 24 songs in the setlist of which most are dance numbers (pretty much all of them except for this song and maybe one or two others). and their choreography is insane. this song is not in the beginning of the set either so you have to understand they get extremely tired by that point and need the background vocals to bolster them so they don't sound too breathless or breathy though they still try extremely hard to be stable (which is what you hear when they sing without the background vocals or when they overpower them). they are very capable live singers but their extreme choreography is what makes the background vocals necessary.
sorry about the hate though, some people can be childish and send hate without it being in the form of constructive criticism. here's my two cents on this though.

thank you for the explanation about the vocal, i could learn more about it :). you're right they sometimes add back vocal especially in hard choreo song. For this particular song if they use back vocal (if you said so, cus tbh i cant hear the back up because idk anything about music or singing lol) maybe because they're sing after dancing of 3 or 4 songs before this so the engineer decided to add back vocal. Also BTS really have tight world tour schedule 14 countries 60+ shows they sometimes got injured or sick (flu/ sore throat) in the middle of the concert if one of the vocalist sick they sing with the help of back vocal (also because it stadium) and decided to not hit the high note, we only hear the instrument which is we as fans really appreciate that proof they're not lipsync even at that condition, whether there is back vocal or not we don't mind it they're still give us amazing performance, choreo, firework, the energy, best experience of life :). Anyway thank you for the reaction, excited for another reaction :D

So there is this guy who has absolutely nothing accept for his home and his garden of flowers. But then he notices this woman who regularly comes and steal his flowers to sell them. At first he is angry and he wants to confront the woman. But when he finds out she does this solely to survive he creates an unique and beautiful flower specially for her in the hopes of it earning her more money. He never talks to her or shows her his face, afraid to do so. When he finally finds the courage to do so he notices she isn't coming. He then proceeds to find out she passed away

I've noticed overall that they do tend to use a lot of back-up vocals, and they're louder than most, but I think they blend pretty decently. I personally wish they didn't do so much, but still, especially live, you can still hear where it's them singing over the vocals, you can still hear that live difference and I love that. Watching their live videos are my favorite. In this specific song/video, you can still hear backup vocals, but most of the time it is two of them singing. That being said, you were still very impartial about it, giving your own opinion and not in a way that feels negative. You said a ton of good things about them, which you're not required to do when it's an opinion video. I love react videos like this, because I like learning the 'why' to different things.
ARMY can be very protective of the boys, which shows their passion, but sometimes they're a little harsh. Don't let that get to you. When there are millions of fans across the world, there are different opinions, but unfortunately a majority of the time it's the brash ones that are the loudest.
BTS has a t o n of songs, and they seem to sing differently for each one, so there are bound to be ones better than the others.

It's not back up vocals. They are singing duets. If you watch more of their videos, you'll see that they do use back up vocals to make the songs fuller, especially in songs where the dance routines are intense. But in this song it's a single person singing or two singing. They don't do that very often.
Pause here at 10:57 (you might need to slow it down) and zoom into Tae. You can see that Tae doesn’t lift his mic until after Jin sings. Clearly backup vocals for a few lines.

wait, don't get mad at me. But I think what she was saying is that while they were singing there were some backup vocals. Like, to make their voices more soothing and to support their voices. I think she understood that there was more than one boy singing at the same time, but she didn't mean that. I took singing lessons since I was 7, and it's been 10 years. I can recognize the difference between someone singing with bakeup vocals or with another person on stage. And, since she's a vocal coach, she knows better than me. I know that they were singing live together, and she also knew it. It's just that there were some bakup vocals behind their *single* voices. It's not a bad thing. Anyone does that. It's to support in case something happens or just to make the singer feel more confident in case of high notes. I've been an army since 2017 and I don't feel attacked in any way by her comments, so I don't understand why you would make a fuss over it. It's not a bad thing.

Thank you so much for this honest opinion. I don't understand why people are upset about it. Fans are being too defensive and it's an unhealthy behaviour. I've noticed it since I got interested in BTS.
I agree with your analysis, they don't need that much of backing vocals and yeah sometimes you can barely hear them. I personally love the dancing and choreography (I'm in love with Jimin, yes I said it 😁) but I would prefer for them to tone down a little bit the choreography and focus more on (focus on 😉) the vocals. That's what I want to hear. And I also appreciate the fact that Jimin for exemple is well aware of his singing difficulties and is working on them. I don't want him to be in denial but rather working to improve.

tbh i'm not mad or upset about the "back vocal" things, i know they sometime use it for some reason and i'm not a vocal expert so i won't argue about that but it doesn't mean their concert not worth it or we didn't get what we paid just because they use "back Vocal" that comment lil bit out of the line cuz we know they give amazing performance, insane choreography. i dumb in singing but what i know this performance sounds different from the studio version, if they're use back vocal like she said it's not like they sing over the back vocal for full song until we paid for nothing, i think that make people upset about. we all could have our opinion right? :) i think not a bad thing, it just discussion none of the fans attacking or being rude, they just stating their opinion.
The "get what you paid for" was more directed to the sound engineer. It's their job to create the perfect balance of the voices and I felt that he was taking away from the audiences true experience of the voices of BTS by having the backing vocals so high. This is of no fault to BTS in any way.
Kudos to you for being one of the very few people in the world brave enough to be honest about BTS. Don't get me wrong, I've been ARMY since 2015 and I adore them, but ARMY can be a little insane sometimes and are not open to any kind of critique towards their boys. I might not always agree with you but respect for standing by your convictions :) This is one of my favorite songs from the vocal line and it ALWAYS makes me cry. It comes from a very old Italian folk story. Think Phantom of the Opera, the Hunchback of Notre Dame or Cyrano de Bergerac. A love lost because of the fear of revealing it and being rejected, of what might have been. BTS is so good at so many things but one of those is emotionally expressing the mood of their songs. Both V and Jimin have very unique tones to their voices. V is deep and rich and Jimin is high and almost child like. They can both blend with each other like no other. "House of Cards" is another good song from the vocal line. Finally, BTS does use backing tracks. They use it instead of having backup singers and they use when when they are doing a particularly difficult dance move. I think most people don't understand that the backing tracks are not used instead of singing live, they are used in harmony with singing live. When you are at their concerts it's very clear to hear the difference between the backing track and the live mic. BTS does that on purpose to shut down the haters that say they lip synch.

I feel like your being negative just to be negative at this point. I was fine up until the last part of this video when you ranted about background vocals being too loud and people not getting what they paid for at the concert. You don’t know BTS, you don’t know their names, and you don’t know their voices. Maybe you can’t hear their voices apart because you’re new to them but we can. Their performances are clearly done live and completely different from the original tracks. Yes, they use backup vocals in small parts to add dimension (or to harmonize during solos because obviously they can’t harmonize with themselves), but it’s never anymore than 5% of the vocals of a performance.

Songs From A Suitcase I’m perfectly fine with criticism and even if you dislike backing vocals (which I think is kinda ignorant considering all artists use them/have to use them). I even follow a ton of vocal teachers on RUclips that also criticize BTS for their vocal techniques/abilities/performances. What upset me was just you’re last comment about not being able to hear the members at all/fans not getting what we paid for at concerts. I’ve personally been to a concert and I can’t tell you how much effort they put into it. The members train on treadmills to up their endurance to sing and even use oxygen in order to not faint on stage (they sung like 24 songs with intense choreo). They put a lot of hard work into their performances and it just felt very dismissive. For someone just getting to know them, I think it’s unfair to make such harsh judgements. As a fan, I can hear the subtle mistakes they make, tell their voices apart, and know how different the sound live than on the track. That’s all, no hard feelings really, I even looked at your other video you posted and might watch more in the future. I’m all in for true reviews, I just recommend not making assumptions that big based off a single video. Have a nice day :)
I see that others have said this but I feel compelled to say it also...those of us who follow kpop (like myself, 10 years now) are well aware how backtracks are used in the industry. It is true that multiple layering of their voices occurs in recordings (as with their current album, sometimes they even have a gospel choir singing backup). But: just because the camera does not show people singing live simultaneously does NOT mean they are not singing live simultaneously. They are not only talented, they are professional and skilled at their craft. They know how to do this.
Check out the first five syllables of that section of the song. The camera shows only one person with a mic to their mouth BUT there are several voices singing. That's what I was showing :)

Also, please don’t be scared of the fandom as a whole. With any group that is comprised of several millions of people, there are bound to be a few bad apples. Those apples may be loud on social media, but they are definitely a minority.

Favourite voice of mine is the guy with the deep voice, Taehyung (V). Actually, nobody's voice ever touched me like his does but that also probably because he is one of the purest person if you'll get to know him. I literally sleep every night listening to his voice from atleast past 5-6 months. (Excluding some exceptions lol)
He doesn't always have the most lines or just the song type doesn't do justice to his voice so I'll recommend that if you can then please react to Stigma live.
Also, if you don't want to react to solo work then you can react to Bts high notes and falsetto by Smile hoya. It's a good compilation video of the whole vocal line.

Most of their concert performances do have backup vocals, it's not just because of the dancing... I assume it's also because of the size of some of these stadiums and other technical stuff... I'm not an expert and I also know things would vary depending on if it's an official recording or a fancam or a TV performance, etc... As you said, it's hard to know for sure what is going on, specially when there's editing on the videos that change povs or when there could be some editing done afterwards... However, it's good to keep in mind that their concerts last around 3 hours, they do a lot of dancing, speeches, storytelling... During their world tourd there's change of climates, sometimes injuries, some members tend to catch colds with the change of temperatures, etc... I'm not making any excuses, I'm just saying there's many elements and factors involved in what they do, specially considering they participate on the writing and production process of their albums, the choreographies, the modeling, the interviews, their entertainment shows, the acting, them also working on solo projects, the amount of performances they do together in certain times of the year are insane (sometimes I don't know how they manage), the constant traveling from west to east, etc. Some of these performances people request are one song from a 3 hours concert or from a 15 mins very high energy show... The experience is different when you see the entire thing, specially because stamina/making sure they don't burn themselves down is a huge challenge in their daily work and also considering their concerts and shows tend to have an overall/transversal narration arc that connects different songs/that influences performnces choices.
Okay I just want to say this. The reason why a lot of Army's would argue with you on the back up vocals is this. So many of us Have been in the fandom since they debuted and we can tell each members voice distinct from the others while they talk and while they sing. Listening to their audios I can always tell which member is singing just from a single line. The part where you said Jin had backup vocals. Actually the back up voice was Taeyhungs voice and the only reason why I guess you didn't notice was due to the fact that at that moment the camera was focused on jin Alone. But the voice in the background belongs to Taehyung. To confirm there is about 3 different life performance to this song. There is one with Eng sub in which Jk was the one who sang the back up for jin in that part.
To be honest, when you do see them live, you can totally differentiate between their voices and the backing track vocal :D Could've just been my experience, though lol. Thanks for your input, and oh man, sorry you had to REALLY clarify at the beginning what your comments are referring to. Some people don't understand, but imo you were pretty clear about what your videos will contain.

it's other singers singing off stage. Back Up singers. You can hear them during the first five syllables of the section I mentioned. It should be only one voice singing there.

they do not have backup singers backstage singing with them. It was all there voices. Sorry but you are wrong in this. Not sure why you are saying it should be only one person singing when all four have microphones. If you heard anything it would still be their underlying music of the track.
then the underlying music could have had the backups recorded into it. Backups are SUPER common. Either way. It was a mention to the sound guy and not to BTS. Sound engineer should have made the backups quieter in my opinion.
They have "guide" vocals. They recorded it. So essentially sometimes they are backing up themselves.
Screw the toxic fans, just give your honest opinions. They are only human, of course they are gonna make mistakes. If people have a hard time accepting that, that's their problem.

I absolutely LOVE BTS but they absolutely DO use backup vocals AND backing tracks when they perform. You can clearly see it when they do dance heavy performances when they need to take a breath AND so the song feels fuller. They also layer vocals in the actual recordings. It's no hate and it doesn't negate their talent.

Sorry if you got backlash from this video, BTS is often used for clout by RUclipsrs and with everything they’ve been through to get where they are we’ve got pretty protective and defensive because they get so much hate from people who have never even listened to their songs, thank you for reacting to them, I’m happy to see the majority of people who aren’t K-POP fans still have open minds to the genre 💜

It was supposed to be Jungkook, who is next to Jin to sing that part where u said is background vocal, there is another video that shows it, but in this part Tae is singing with Jin, u can see him with microphone in the mouth and singing. But yes, sometimes they have background vocals to help, mostly when they are dancing.
I’m not a teenage Army by any means but the reaction seems to be based on “gotcha moments” rather than performance. Seems more time spent trying to catch those times.
