    Fun fact: The reason Corvettes can fit 6.2L and even 7.0L engines in such a small and low space is because of the engine design. The LS/LT V8 engines are as compact as many 4 and 6 cylinder engines due to being a pushrod/OHV setup with a single cam inside the block. They use space very efficiently. The engines are ridiculously lightweight and small compared to many V8 engines. That's why you see them swapped into everything. Small and compact, powerful, reliable, cheap and easy to work on.

    • @Alex68dash
      @Alex68dash 2 месяца назад +16

      Another fun fact. The iron block LS based truck engines from the 4.8 to the 6.0 are lighter than the famous inline 6 engines from japan

    • @codyerickson3550
      @codyerickson3550 2 месяца назад +5

      I think a lot of people just look at the displacement and assume that all engines must be physically massive the higher the displacement. As OP pointed out, LS and LT’s are very small despite being 5.7-7 liters. Meanwhile, Ford’s 5.0 Coyote might have a smaller displacement, but physically speaking, it’s a huge motor due to it being a DOHC.

    Funny thing is, you don't need a manual/automatic license in the US. It's just a drivers license then even if you don't know manual, you can take it out on the road. Of course you may get in trouble if you cause problems stalling in heavy traffic etc, but that's how I learned, bought my manual and had my mom drive it halfway home before I had the guts to take over and give her her car back lmao. TIL you need a separate license to drive a manual transmission car in Japan. A lot of Vettes, Challengers, and Mustangs are automatic in the US as well. Most manuals are pretty limited run these days. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact they're coming with way more horse power than they used to, which obviously requires way more skill to pilot. And, just like in Japan, fewer people know how to drive manuals these days.

Low production and the only one tuned and tweeked with parameters based on the 2020 GT500 build. Good luck finding someone who will sell. I bought one new instead of a 911. Besides, the sound and drive feel is better, to me than the GT3. If you have an opportunity to drive one you will understand before you get to third gear. American cars in Japan, especially larger cc ones due to the road taxes are very rare. The good thing is Japan doesn’t have the 25 year import bull**** it’s just mainly due to the lack of customers that are willing to pay for the taxes, we will most likely see the number of customers rise though a lot in the near future. I would to love to work with someone in Japan to get cool cars, & I would have no problem helping acquiring USA cars for you all. There is an Importer called "the Import guys" about 2 hours away from me(close to the Canada border). The owner is Dylan Cain, super legit importer & shop here in Washington State. I actually just bought a 1999 Honda Accord CF3 from Dylan 2 weeks ago. My dad has a 2003 5spd Ford Mustang Mach 1 in the color Azura blue(original owner), roughly 150,000 miles, pretty high miles but the car is all OEM including the original wheels still. I wonder if I could get something cool to trade from Japan for the 2003 Ford Mustang Mach 1? Anyways, super cool channel, I love your super cute family as I also have a child who is 1 & 11 months old. At the moment I have a 2024 Tesla Model Y, the 1999 RHD Honda Accord I mentioned, 1995 JZX90 twin turbo Toyota Mark II Tourer V, & a s13 Nissan 240sx vert. Anyways, let me know if you want to contact Dylan Cain from the Import Guys, they have a website & a Facebook if you want to check them out as well.
