We did a turbo conversion on a 1gfe and it made just over 200kw. Very reliable drift missile and survived 2 seasons before letting go. Don't bother with the supercharger mod just turbo or go 1j So on a 80kw stock engine it's a healthy gain
Hi thanks for sharing this video I enjoyed it. I'm interested in learning more about the DBW throttle behaviour on manual IS200. Does it also adjust the response based on selected gear?
I’d love to see more 1gfe content please bro, I know fark all about cars and I’ve decided to pick it up as a hobby so I’m pretty much starting out as fresh as can be, I also have a 1g so using it as a learning platform 🤙
@@Jet1337x stand-alone is the only way to do it correctly! I’ve done all 3 and a correctly tuned standalone makes almost twice the power and does it safely :)
Yeah nice, back when mine was near new and clean it managed 88.3rwkw on a mainline in Adelaide circa 2008. Think it'd be lucky to crack 70 these days, poor things a bit abused :P Keen to see how this goes!
@@pravbuilds haha love it classic toyota motor! Got me beat I think I'm only around the 300k region. Then again it got stolen and used as a ramraid car for six months so it probably copped more abuse in that time than the rest of my janky track adventures in it lol.
bloody hell thats a major loss of horsepower. my 300,000km died cuz it ran out of oil and so now it has an engine with just under 150,000 from an auto toyota crown. Praying it has a few more of its original horsepowers left in it bc 100hp is abysmal.
nah seems about right. stock hp is like 150 at the crank? allow ~25% drivetrain loss gets you to round 110hp at the wheels. might've lost 10-20hp, but a dyno is just a tool, not a 100% accurate measurement.
Definitely following this build bro👌
Excellent stuff
thanks for showing!
Glad you liked it!

😮 do you have an instagram or anywhere I can check it out?
Yeah I’ve done a dozen or so turbo conversions! I get them in quite often for tuning
Agree that supercharging isn’t worth it at all.
Interesting video 👍🏽
Thanks mate!

More to come!
Can't wait to see you turbo it! Are you going to do a standalone, piggyback or FCD?

Can you make detailed video on the throttle body mods?
It's quite simple, you just remove the spacer and cut the linkage - feel free to pause in the video
@@pravbuilds saw in other videos, that you need to do something with the plugs at the back? And tie something?
@@pravbuilds hmm and any tips on the engine light that apparently comes on?

Have you ever tried a larger bore throttle body? It might be an interesting mod for a stock engine.
Interesting to see, mine is making 140whp on hub dyno. Itb, ported head, decat manifold and link g4x
E85 should see some nice gains!
