Easy adaptation to situations is found in two types of personalities. The more talked about are the Sigma types, who were given that personality type as a mathematical reference to being "the sum of all other personality types".
The less often spoken about type who is defined by this trait is the Delta personality type. It's easy with just the list of points given in this video to mistake a Delta for a Sigma, but they are different. The most notable difference is that the Delta tries to support the social hierarchy by filling any empty role, while the Sigma is mostly unconcerned with the survival of the hierarchy.

As an INFJ Sigma, I only reveal certain parts about myself to certain people. Female peers get more access than male counterparts. I conceal my event interests on Facebook. I have only one close friend, and she gets the rare complete access to me.

When a little kid, my parents said I never met a stranger. As a little kid, and a country boy, I tended to wander off from the group when we went to a city. More than once I wandered into 'bad' areas but because I liked everyone, I was treated like family. What did my parents do? Tell me I was giving them gray hair.
We're American Indian and understand the saying, adapt, adopt, survive. The individual is the ultimate person and we always strive to be independent of all others, yet submerge into the group for the sake of the people. A warrior is dedanwaki, a person who studies wolves. Stay free. niio

I was born in the woods and farms near Wyoming Valley, PA, which a miniature New York, a little of everything. Ani raise adventuresome children, then complain about kids giving them gray hair. :) And how does the old saying go, Mom? May your children be just as you. Before I was 6, I learned how to judge apples for juice, how to germent, to age the juice, and to operate a still. All of us learned to snare rabbits, clean, cook, and eat them; fish, and so on. Fish traps, as well. Age, 11, I walked up to the Adirondacks and spent ti8me with Mohawk. I got to see some of the Woodstock crap. I never trusted a liberal since. Black kin kept me safe.
One grandfather was the spitting image of his ancestor, Handsome Lake. His father-in-law was a Healer. The other side the fam was mengwe, outcasts, mostly witches and worse. I have family in Mexico, up to Canada, and some cousins went to Siberia and married there.
In Mexico, chichimec are 'family' to my mother's longhouse, People of the Dog Spirit. A good, solid people, the People of the Dogs. When I worked as a cowhand we would go to Mexico and raise hell. I worked down there as a mojado and fit in well. Enough, that every time cops wanted to arrest me for being a wetback the people got me out and gone. Now I'm back in Arizona and love it. niio

I always thought we were smarter than that. Like, do not spread the evil done to you.
If you know diabetics who can't live without grain, they need to stay away from wheat, barley, and rye because of gluten. If they want, they can take a gluten free flour like cornmeal or corn flour and add one-third cup of cornstarch to make noodle dough or dumplings. niio

3:35 While I understand the context in which the phrase was used "In order to win the prize, you must play the game" in this circumstance to learn things more effectively. I would still state that it is important to always weigh the pros and cons of any situation and ask yourself the questions, "What will I get out of playing this game?" and "Is it worth it?" Reminds me of my grandfather's personal favorite saying, "Co ci to da?" or in English, "What will it get you?"
I always took this advice to heart, which I find is also why I tend to aggravate a lot of people with my personal philosophy of not engaging in needless competition. It is often because I am always asking the question, "why? why is it so important to feel superior to others?"
I offer this advice, be careful of the games that others are often trying to get you to play when you don't want to play them. By stepping off the chessboard, you are removing yourself from being manipulated into being someone else's pawn.
