I'm not gonna say Pharogeist is a real meta contender by any means but I do think it's stronger than where it's at on the list right now. If you can get it on the field(my preferred method is golden apple into rise from the ashes) and throw a fleece on it it's so hard to remove and having to play something to remove fleece and then also play a second card to remove Pharogeist while the burn effect is online feels awful. I've had multiple games where I get it out on turn 1 and it's almost always just been GGs on the spot. The immunity to Dense Fog is also super helpful The list I've been testing also runs Lumaroo and Fowlipheros to try to limit what cards the opponent has access to, if you can mill their removal or pop it with Fowl and they aren't playing rune recovery then Pharogeist becomes even more of a problem. Between Crypromal, Khafmel, and Ambrosia you've got tons of spirit recovery and I never felt like I couldn't make a play happen, nor did I feel like going for a mulligan was ever that punishing. Is it tournament viable? Honestly I don't know, but I can't imagine a world where it's worse than Morphrost and the potential of Pharogeist is unreal
Not surprised my goat is also based solar-pilled I am a little shocked you didn’t bring up the fire nexus decks at all though, those have felt really good in my testing
True. I’d consider it an Argo deck so I suppose it goes there in the tierlist. But I should have separated it out since there’s a couple variants running around.
The second I dropped the big lion and cow packages I started figuring out how to really play solar. Wanted lions to be good because of loving the artwork but it just wasn’t in testing
I feel like the Chronodile evaluation is a little incorrect - both Chronodile turbo and Water Nexus with Chronodile as the top end get conflated for this tier list. I think Water Nexus with Chronodile is a good deck but I do not feel that Chronodile turbo is worth considering pretty much at all.
I see a lot of content about the top end of competitive play and the evolving metagame but still have no idea how to get in...where does a beginner start? Is there space for beginners?
There is absolutely space for beginners! One of the new starter decks (Chronodile) can be used to build a deck with just 2 copies (though you may want to grab a couple other staples from the other starters to boost it)
Even though Chonodile itself is not a good card? I'll have to look into it. I've been trying to buy in but don't know where to start. Its probably a bad idea to just leap into the top tier o the metagame with 0 knowledge of the game or its mechanics.
Saying RaaHP is trolling is crazy. Obviously giving your opponent agency isn't good, but a card that is either earthquake or thunderstorm, can't be responded to, and can trigger Eddy, whom you're already playing, to special ascend into a 9 from deck is all really good. It also makes opponent's PTAing Eddy worthless.
Yo first the Elestonauts post a tierlist and now the 🐐 drops a tier list? Blessed
Give us a Solar List!
I'd love to also see results with the deck but dont have a clue on where to start with it
Trish is right.
But he didn't mention Pandzer, so fuck em 😭

@@ttgl_bobross Just for reference, Chronodile really isn't that bad, and a lot of the current meta game is still developing

You Telegraph don't poke the bear in the same way you Telegraph Alter of Stars/Tsunami
Solar is really good, being able to stack the deck legally is broken
This did not age well
now how can we utilize this tier list if theres no tournaments or anyone playing this game? lol
The first major Daybreak tournament is this weekend. We hope you can make it out, it’s sure to be a great one.
