After posting the video, I forgot to scratch up some gun barrels since the kit did not have them! Why would Hobby Boss not include them? There are no gun barrels shown in the instructions so it’s not a lost part. Ugghhh!!!

Excellent result, Drew. I think your weathering, however slight, turned out well. Those clay washes can be tricky.Your antennae line looks fine. Some people go too thick.

Nice build, I like the faded blue! I used AK Paneliner for Black (AK2075) on my Hellcat. Worked well but I'm not sure if I used gloss or semi gloss underneath.

Hi Drew, I've been following this series and you did a great job. I like this plane a lot and I like what you did with it. The mottled under tone looks fantastic and authentic. I like the idea of the gray wash. It helps to tone down the glossy shine. Over gloss this wash is tough. I've used a dot of glue or Mod Podge to help with the adhesion. A dot!!
I'm not a rivet counter by any means but, there is something about the markings that don't seem right. No fault of yours of course (they were provided with the kit) but something sticks out. I'm not sure. I'm not a super authentic builder though so what do I know? Once again - Great job on a great plane! See you again for the next project.
PS Do you make any bases for your models or display stands?
I thought the wing roundels might be too small. I checked some reference photos and it seems to be correct. I have a P-47 where the wing roundels are huge the same as the fuselage. If you think of something else let me know! Hobby Boss isn’t known for super accuracy!
