That sir was a outstanding build and paint job on the F-105, it certainly is a big bird for a single engine aircraft, that fit issue with the back part of the kit should not have happened in these days of modern kit manufacturing, again a great build. I have subscribed to your channel as well. best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia.
thank you very much!! i completely agree i think if i could summarise this kit is just over engineered!! glad you enjoyed and i hope you’ll enjoy the future content!
Hi there, just some questions from a fellow modeler: Why did you not put in the navigation lights? Why did you not install the nose gear radar reflector and landing lights? Did you install any of the many belly antennas? Why did you leave out a piece of the afterburner can cover before the air brakes? Speaking about air brakes: With landing gear extended, the top and bottom brakes were inoparable and in the folded position, as to not interfere with the drag chute.
Hi mate! Cheers for the comment, to be honest I made this at a very early point in my modelling career so perhaps I missed one or two things. For me personally at the end of the day it’s a model, not a replica.🤙🏻
I've had the same problem with paint manufacturers getting the greens for SEA camouflage too close in color , until I discovered AK real colors . The colors are perfect.
Nice build! I'm curious though, did the kit come with any under wing stores, for instance... Fuel tanks, ejector racks, bombs,... Or did you simply make the choice to build in the "clean" configuration? I only ask because usually with fighters of this particular genre it's almost always displayed with at least fuel tanks.. Don't get me wrong. The "Thud" was a striking aircraft and it's need to see how tall it really was without a lot of clutter underneath. I also asked because I know some kit makers notoriously leave out under wing stores that normally with other kit makers are just standard, in the box items.
hi mate!! thank you very much, and to answer your question hobbyboss supply lots of missiles bombs etc to be displayed however after my worry’s with the landing gear i didn’t want to put anymore weight onto the bird!
agreed, just a little bit too much for too little… if that makes sense? for the second part, i think i was just trying to achieve a really over accentuated stressed paint look, for that reason i used a base flesh colour. hope that helps!! :)
I very much enjoy watching this build.A very fine build, aircraft looked spectacular!!!
Probably the most underrated cold war jet ever created.
I’m inclined to agree with you!
Very nice work 👏👏
thank you very much!! glad you liked it!!

Fair enough. Happy modelling!
Pussy galore was based near my home at Takhli airbase in Nakhon Sawan.
It's still an active base for our fighters.

Did the decals come with the kit or after market?
Everything for that build came with the kit😁
I have the wild weasel version , kits a pain in the ass,....
Haha a Little Bit! But it is worth it!😁
Nice build!

I have my stash. But, i have not build a mime.
nice! any plans to build it soon?
P.S. Too bad you had to use something to cover the sweet babe on the nose!!!
Definition of hobbyboss. Over engineered. Why didn't you just add a little yellow or a flesh color to the lighter green to change the hue.
