Bloody marvellous, that is! Excellent end result; very interesting and entertaining to watch her being crafted too. Great antidote to a day at the coalface.......
Your final reveals are so dramatic....made so and enhanced by the incredible soundtrack....I love it! Excellent work, a most enjoyable watch and tips galore.
I like this jet F-14A very impressive. Nice build & details. United States of America & Israel Magen David & stars & stripes together perfectly. IDF & US Navy.
Such a great take at such a great kit! It’s amazing how you make them at such a great level, as a young modeller I can’t wait to be as talented as you are!
your such an amazing modeller and now that youve built this kit and what you have done with it is amazing and this will more then likely be my next build:)
Thank you so much for the kind words mate! I highly recommend this kit such a beautiful piece of engineering it just falls together!! Let me know how it goes😁
Excellent job, sir! I’ve always been a fan of the Tomcat (and not JUST because of Top Gun; I fell in love with the plane the very first time I saw one at my local air museum). It’s one of those aircraft that just SCREAMS FLIGHT. The VF-84 scheme is my favorite livery on the F-14 as well as the F-4. It looks outstanding on both aircraft. Great job on this kit. Can’t wait for the next video! Just subbed!!
Thank you so much! I have to agree with you, it looks fast just sitting there! I’ve also always been attracted to items that can sweep their wings as well because the engineering behind it is always so interesting! Thanks again I’m sure you’ll like what’s coming up in the next few videos😁
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it… Next up for me is Eduards Rufe but after that I’m not too sure yet, anything you’d like to see in particular?😁
This was such an awesome build! The Jolly Rodger’s scheme is definitely my favorite on the F-14 and the F-18, it looks so good👍 Thanks for sharing… you’re an awesome builder! Just subbed to the channel🫡
Thank you very much buddy! I intend to do a F18 in Jolly Roger’s over the summer months so be on the look out for that! Many thanks, welcome to the channel☺️🤣
Final result looks amazing. Just a little info if you where unaware, in no way a criticism, when parked the f-14’s exhaust because of the way the hydraulics work one of the nozzles is always in the open position and the other closed. Just some info I recently found out myself. Looking forward to your next build.
@@machmodels some cockpit stuff either the same as you or maybe eduard, exhaust either full or just the ring and undercarriage atm and anything else I can find lol
Hint for any F-14A modelers that might find this interesting: The way the shutdown sequence is ran, one nozzle iris will be open and the other one retracted.
It definitely would’ve! However, if you select the part that depicts the “bags” in the open wing position it doesn’t allow you to sweep the wings back… it almost locks them in place! Sorry I couldn’t show you but I am sure it would be buttery smooth!😁
Amazing! Also want to build this kit one day, just need to practice my weathering technique a bit more to be able to make it look half as good as yours 😂
Sounds like a good plan. I`ve done one 1/48 scale plane and a couple of 1/72s but all clean and ”perfect” paint. Always scared I`ll burn through the clear and ruin the paint wiping of panel line and such. But yeah another small cheaper practice kit is a good idea
I love tamiya ❤
Who doesn’t!
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how this man built an f16 and then 2 weeks later he builds an f14
They call me Mach Models for a reason😉 All jokes aside thank you mate😁
@@machmodels haha yeah
This is peak humer right here
Excellent Build Luke!
Thank you mate!!

Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed the video and it provided some entertainment😁
I made one of these 30 years ago and it was beautiful and awesome. One of my first good colored builds.
The tomcat sure does look good!
@@machmodels Fun fact, the rims were made from aluminum and the wheels were made from rubber. In the early 1990s this were a big deal.
I just came back from a 3 hour bike trip to Slovakia, this is just what I needed after
Oh my!!! Your legs must be on fire!! Enjoy the video dude, you deserve it🤣😁

Haha a little bit of drama never hurt anyone! Great to hear that the content is useful👌🏻☺️
Another cracking build!!
Thank you mate! Glad you enjoyed it😁
Stunning ......this on my build list so great and informative for me. Thanks
Thank you! Glad that it helped you out😁
Hi buddy amazing build your F-14 looks awesome mate. Cheers Gary 🇬🇧

Thank you Neil! I’ve got to agree with you everything seems to work together on the tomcat!😁
Another fantastic model you have created
Thank you very much!😁😁
Really superb.... weathering is spot on! Bookmarked for my Hasegawa build.
Thank you very much! Let me know how you get on🤟🏻
❤😊🎉love the F-14A nice jet swept wings. Israeli Air Force & US Navy. Two seater jet.
Thanks Neil! I also love the Tomcat, could be my new favourite!!😁
Stunning!!!!( Once I get Academys Phantom to work 3rd time lucky🤞) Ill have to add one to the stash
Thank you so much! Best of luck with that Academy kit… heard it can be a bit sticky in places😯
So so so good my friend 😍
Thank you mate! I’m glad you like it😁😁
Looks very good! Nice weathering, not this total unrealistic and ungly Panellines! Great Job!
Thank you! I definitely spent a while trying to figure out the best way to weather it so i’m glad you like it😁👌🏻
Such a great take at such a great kit! It’s amazing how you make them at such a great level, as a young modeller I can’t wait to be as talented as you are!
Thank you so much! At 17 i’m also currently in the “young modeller” category so good to know there’s more of us😁
@@machmodels wow I didn’t realise that! Do you have any tips for getting into the hobby a bit better, as I’m struggling to make good models! 😁

Uh beautiful, the weathering on where the wings go in and out is just great.
Thank you very much! Really appreciate the comment😉👌🏻
Awesome work! Thanks for sharing your technique.
Thank you very much sir!😁
Very nice Luke, excellent work.
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed it😁
Beautiful built F-14A
Thank you very much sir!😛
Fantastic build my friend 💯. Watching builds if this kit never gets old
Thank you very much!! I’ve got to agree, I could build this kit 100 times and never get bored!
@@machmodels I have 3 in my stash. I'm gonna go for a Jolly Rogers version, a Top Gun and a "what if" build with Hellenic Air Force decals and colors
Oh my goodness that sounds superb! Be sure to show me that Hellenic one it sounds super cool!😁
@@machmodels I will post on my channel. Keep up the good work. I would love to see more of your talent ⭐

@@machmodels I hope to get a F14 very expensive atm 😳🤣
it’s well worth it though!!!
@@machmodels absolutely - I have a F15c eagle with 3d cockpit details which I can’t wait to get into, they make such a difference

... if you were* unaware
Sweet build bro!! Im goong to be cracking mine out soon, just getting some upgrades for it then its all go go go!😁

Wow amazing
Thank you very much sir!🤙🏻
Since there is a gear mechanism for the wings to fold, it would have been nice to see how the wings fold in and out.
It definitely would’ve! However, if you select the part that depicts the “bags” in the open wing position it doesn’t allow you to sweep the wings back… it almost locks them in place! Sorry I couldn’t show you but I am sure it would be buttery smooth!😁
Marvellous model with uber realistic finishing - will the next build be an aircraft carrier to place it on?
Thank you very much! I think that may be a bit too big of a project though🤣😁
Hey there! I did not not see in the video if you put nose whight in the aircraft. If you did, how many grams?
Hey! I don’t believe this requires any! So crack on😁👌🏻
This is mega ❤
Thank you sir!😝❤️
Amazing!
Also want to build this kit one day, just need to practice my weathering technique a bit more to be able to make it look half as good as yours 😂
Thank you dude! All I can recommend is potentially getting a 1/72 tomcat which is a lot cheaper and testing it out on that!
Sounds like a good plan. I`ve done one 1/48 scale plane and a couple of 1/72s but all clean and ”perfect” paint. Always scared I`ll burn through the clear and ruin the paint wiping of panel line and such. But yeah another small cheaper practice kit is a good idea
You're really good with kits but when are you going to start scratchbuilding? 🙂 Nice video.
Thank you Nigel! Hopefully I’ll have the confidence to do some scratch building soon… I think I have a project that’ll suit it rather well😁
Did you paint the entire plane one color or the two-tone grey/white like the instructions/model calls for?
It’s hard to differentiate between the light gull grey and the white, but I did in fact paint both of the colours✌🏼
@@machmodels It came out flawless to me. Beautifully weathered. What type of product did you use for the wing sweep weathering?
@@llNATEDOGGllthank you! Just used very cheap oils and some white spirit to blend it in😁✌🏼
is this worth the price?
100%, one of the most enjoyable kits I have ever put together!
oh.my.life !
Haha thank you very much!
