It is a great kit……..but, I had trouble with the engine mounting to the fuselage, there was too much play up and down and so I had to modify it with a couple of bits of styrene in the fuselage socket . A quick search online found I wasn’t the only one who had this problem .
The only other area of concern was the propellor, it appears the hole is too big in the prop and it won’t sit securely, mine is a ‘Midway’ 2 kit boxing so it’ll be interesting to see if I have the same problems when building the dash 3 version.
Great video with some handy hints 👍🏻

A very nice kit , I've built one myself. I spray painted the aluminum section of the aircraft LP-11 as well , and if you cover with alclad clear aqua gloss it doesn't dull the sheen any.

I have a question regarding the paneling line wash. How are you removing the excess? A dry towel? I can’t seem to clean that stuff up unless I use a thiner product.

    • @TheModelGuy

Usually a dry towel but if its not coming up a dampened towel with thinner

Loads of oil leaking does not show "... how awesome and well put together the Wildcat was" but how sloppy the tolerances were when mass-producing in a hurry

  • @jacksaloman9513

The decals for the tail are horrible. On mine you can see the white splattered all over the carrier film and uniformity is bad. Every body drools that you can remove the carrier film, i dont care about all that BS, i want decals with better color uniformity and stencils that don't fold up on themselves.
