I used to build models as a kid. Airbrushing was just something that I just read about in books. I could never afford it or convince my folks to spend the money on it. The most detail I got was a rattle can and do it yourself dirt wash for cars. Videos like this make me want to pick up the hobby again. Thanks for the inspiration. You do beautiful work.
Ich war beeindruckt von der Technik, mit der der Geist der Samurai in diesem Ausmaß nachgebildet werden konnte. Ich wünsche Ihnen alles Gute für Ihre zukünftigen Unternehmungen.
His models are fantastic, but there are many out there, that do. I’m not saying that as a negative, towards his work. I’m saying that, for you, so you can discover many other incredible artists out there 👌
Unfortunately, a lot of them are in Japanese ( I’m assuming, so I don’t know how to link them lol ). If you’re into hyper realism, but not necessarily planes, you should check out A4 Garage, Kenji’s Plastic Models, Car Model Channel, Rinaldi Studio Press, just to name a few 🙏
It doesn’t matter if a heavily detailed cockpit is hidden by the fuselage and the canopy as long as you know it’s there. That’s what modeling is all about. Beautiful build sir.
Look up the manufacturing history of this plane ! So many teams turned down the build request because many deemed it to hard or even impossible. This plane was made from a small group of engineers that blew the socks off everyone else.
you never disappoint, been watching your videos for around 5-6 years and your models' in the past were already so impressive, but you keep pushing to improve and it really shows. you're by far my favorite modeler, and i always learn something new every video. keep up the good work my friend:)
ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? That is the most amazing weathering ever. Please do more of this. I personally consider you in the group of Bob Ross. You take something ordinary and make it something special. Your videos help me forget about my day and the state of our world. Thx.
You always go above and beyond! One of my favorite channels to watch. I would love to see more dioramas again. Seeing the the scenes you create is always so cool.
The thing about Plasmo is that not only is he an incredibly talented model maker, but he is also a skillful videographer. Absolutely beautiful, puts my Zero to shame!
I love the stressing on the wings and fuselage. It looks so 3d, like there are actual divots in the plastic there. Love this plane! I would love to see some 1/48 jets, like the F104S, Kfir, or Mig21
Your technique is of the highest order. I am stunned when you cut up the model to fit new parts. I have never seen a more steady hand when painting with a brush or using tweezers on fine parts. I would judge you to be the best modeller on the web by a wide mark. Truly great models that go to the level of art.
Drop tanks barely had any chipping, because they were usually dropped in a mission (as it was their role as the name suggests), so they got a new one for the next mission. It is a common mistake I also have done in the past.
The Mitsubishi A6M2, like the Spitfire, had a special utilitarian beauty derived from it's function. Your over-the-top approach to paint and weathering makes this tiny plastic artifact a thing of beauty, and your tendency to "make it more interesting" actually is entirely appropriate. We can see, if we compare the blow-up photos of the real radial engine. I was awed to see the pistons of the engine, compared to the touches of rust on the pipes there - you captured that very well indeed. Thank you SO much for sharing your builds with us; it seems maniacal, the amount of effort you do, but the successful results speak for themselves.
When the Type 11 Zero was deployed to China in 1940, it was still officially "Secret": so when it was on the airfield the front end was covered by Tarpaulins to make it resemble its predecessor the Mitsubishi A5M (Claude) fighter, which bore some resemblance to the Zero (Except for non-retracting undercarriage.) This meant that the rear fuselage faded significantly in the Hot summer of 1940 and again in summer of 1941. The paintwork kept under the Tarpaulins did not fade anywhere near as much, hence the 2 toned paint.... You have done a Most Excellent job. I recently bought that kit, myself and I have the Hasegawa Type 11 also in my stash. (Thanks to Hasegawa for explaining the 2-tone paint in their instructions!)
Thank you for the commentary during the build and good humour. I have learned so much! I grew up with monogram and revell kits, you get what you pay for! I watch your videos multiple times, I learn every time! From the U.S.A thank you fellow modeler!!
The Zeke was an incredible aircraft and you've done it Great Justice! The stressing effect you applied to each panel really made them look bowed in from stress! Top notch work, as always!
Absolutely stunning. The post shading is exceptional--I never would have believed how effective and realistic it appears when you showed one side done and the other not. The difference was truly remarkable. Inspiring.
That oils technique for creating stressed panels is a master trade!!! I tried with sanding, heath and/or pressure in the past, but this is by far much more safer and controlled... Thanks for sharing!
I've been modelling for over 50 years now, mostly wooden sailing ships,WWI & II aircraft and 12th scale motorcycles and thoroughly enjoy watching your builds turn into mini masterpieces. Thanks for sharing with us and please continue to do so. If you do another motorcycle, try Tamiya's RC166 with its detail sets. It is a pain in the ass at times but quite stunning finished. Thanks from the other side of the pond. (U.S.)! Bless you and yours & stay safe and well.
Just an astounding job. Masterful. Thanks for sharing. I love the part where you mentioned an area in the engine looked empty, so you added -and detailed-a bunch of wires. I would have run out of energy far before then. Incredible work.
Hi, I just wanted to say that your attention to detail, precision and talent are all at superhuman levels. You should be immensely proud of your work. Thank you for sharing.
Когда целый час собирал только один двигатель от модели немецкого бронетранспортера Hanomag времен 2 Мировой войны - забросил это дело - времени свободного не было. А здесь - я преклоняюсь. Это просто супер!
I am building a Tamiya A6M3 right now with my daughter, came for some some inspiration. This video is stunning, well filmed and the detailing in your process is stunning.
Great! Just finished Tamiya zero with my 8 year old kid. We were thinking that what level of detail Plasmo would add while building our kit. Thank you for the great inspiration David! You’re the best!
Fantastic result!...I learn so much from PLASMO's videos...The 'canning' effect with highlight and shadow was a really effective idea...I spend a month on a model and really happy with it, then I watch this and realise I should have spent another month refining my effort...but it's all good...I've come a long way already from when I use to complete a kit and painted in a few hours...Thank you
I remember when I used to make Airfix Spitfires and Hurricanes when I was a nipper. I’d be pleased if I managed to paint the bottom sky blue and the top two shades of green. The attention to detail here is insane.
I did that syringe trick three years ago when I was making my Egyptian SA-6 Kub in 1/72 scale, I still have that paint and it's still good - the small amount that is in the tip dries quickly, preventing the thinner inside from evaporating.
Beautiful model. A tip to prevent paint bleeding under masks - in addition to applying it in thin layers - is to first apply a clear varnish to seal the edges of the mask.
The whole thing is so far beyond my skill level it makes me want to quit (but I won't, of course). His ability to make one see the oil can effect (or what ever it's called), through master class paint work is astonishing!
I think you are one of THE very best kit builders of them all. I have been following your work for some years now and, your skills are absolutely mind-blowing! I've been building for more than 30 years but, my work doesn't even come close to your level. I have Tamiya's 1/48 A6M2 Zero kit and, this video really inspires me to get started on it!
You are just incredible... honestly I cannot begin to tell you how much your work inspires me. You are hands down the best I have ever seen doing this.
It's not anymore a model kit, it's a piece of art ! congratulations and keep modelling.
A piece of fine jewelry..
And filming it for us noobs
@@hubristicmystic hahahah 😂😂
Yes. You are an artist. Way beyond most of our skills.
@roberterdei8627 Why so?

No one creates a more realistic model then you do. Thank you for sharing your creations with us. 👍

It is TRUE wisdom when someone reaches the "It doesn't matter" point. Lots of love and respect from Spain, Mr. Damek!

I personally consider you in the group of Bob Ross. You take something ordinary and make it something special. Your videos help me forget about my day and the state of our world.
Thx.
Plasmo, you should do a weekend build challenge 48hrs to make some basic airfix or tamiya kit look spectacular, no extra parts.
Again pushing it to another level with your models. This man cant stop improving. He is the goat of scale modelling.
あなたが作る作品はいつもとても素晴らしいです。❤
It’s a sign to build a zero!
You always go above and beyond! One of my favorite channels to watch. I would love to see more dioramas again. Seeing the the scenes you create is always so cool.
Not only the model (which was beyond fantastic), but the photography as well!
The thing about Plasmo is that not only is he an incredibly talented model maker, but he is also a skillful videographer. Absolutely beautiful, puts my Zero to shame!
THESE ARE SIMPLY THE BEST AIRPLANES MODELS I'VE EVER SEEN
When it comes to a kit build by PLASMO, I don't care what you build, it's always good to watch, great video and great result with the kit.
素晴らしい! あなたの情熱に拍手を送ります。
Wow, a tiny masterpiece 👍🏻
Excellent David, so good to see you back…thank you

Great seeing you do 1:48, rather than the 1.72. Incredible detail.

That is simply astonishing...the stressed panels look real!! the paint is breathtaking. You have truly surpassed yourself David...incredible build...
27:05 - "Someone who has more modeling experience....." oh PLASMO I don't think it gets any better than you. Love your builds and your channel.
That's a masterpiece! I love the shading of the stressed surface!
Oh yeah. You sir are one of the best modeler’s on earth. How about a FW-190 Dora or P-47 D Bubble top.
I watched his 1/32 Dora build last night. A dream.
Didn't Plasmo make a P-47D somewhat recently?
@@martijn9568 A 1/72 scale, I believe.

Always great to see a build from Plasmo
