Stunning looking aircraft! Putting this video into my reference when I start the build of my A6M3 Zero Type 32 by Eduard.
Beautiful! I've learned a ton of painting tips from you throughout a number of your builds.. Thank you!
You're welcome mate ! I'm just glad they help folks out
That's a beautiful cockpit job, James. Don't think my eyes could handle the wires! It's always a shame when you close it up and can't see much, but there's a lot of enjoyment getting there ....
Thanks Paul, I agree it's a shame but at least I have a record of it !
@@lpjmodels Of course I keep forgetting it's 1/48...my stash demands I close the 'pit and forget any details like Anyz that requires a microscope!
You should see the next one lined up 😀
The result is amazing! Very interesting work)))
A very unique paint scheme. One I have never seen on a Zero before. Loved the build start to finish. The wiring on the engine and in the cockpit added an extraordinary amount of scale effect detail to both areas. Job VERY well done sir 👍👍
Thanks Jim ! There was almost 0 reference for this one unfortunately. It was 100% a thing, but again, not something you see often
Outstanding mate!! Could not have turned out better and a very enjoyable watch. Cheers
Thankyou John ! 😀
When picking out small details on instrument panel, I dry brush it in whatever colour it needs. It’s a lot easier than trying to carefully trying to paint it on directly. Good build btw, very enjoyable to watch.
Thanks MrKov ! I completely hear that, drybrushing is something I don't use for some reason. ( I used to , in spades) I'll give It a go next time
Nice video on the zero I will have to have do to my three now looking forward to your next video
Three !? You have your work cut out
Decals in Cockpit from the Kit?
Phantastic work.
Yeah these are the peely eduard ones. Really nice register on em
Just rewatching this to recharge my mojo. Still amazed by the cockpit and the overall paint job!
Thanks Mate ! Please when you are recharged send a little my way 😀
Another great build. I think your just showing off now Well done Mr LPJ if my builds could come anywhere close to these my life would be complete
Thanks Jelly B ! Just keep practicing and trying new things and you'll get to where you want to be
Good job with oil paints. Great ww2 airplane. Thanks from France
Gotta love those oil paints !
I've never seen any Japanese model paint scheme like this before, but every details are totally realistic. Very great model building lad :)
imo, what you did to the cockpit, was totally worth it :D
A Mitsubishi masterclass! Excellent build, love it.
Thanks Sera !
This is absolutely amazing James.
Excellent build!
Bravo! Superb job!
One Word…Awesome! Super Paint Job….i love it. Greats from Germany

Nice, Very very nice. Those switches are amazing and add an another dimension, however I think that way madness lies🤣
I think I already caught the madness 🙃
Excellent build! Looks soooo real.

Wow if I hadn't watched the video I would have said, "man I don't know how you do it!" But al-lass we do know... Best looking zero ever, very realistic, well done! I'm in...
Outstanding build as usual James..
Thanks Alan !
Great build and AMAZING paint job. Thanks for sharing
The updetailing of the cockpit was well worth it. Would be the best with an open cockpit.
Totally ! I'm kind of glad the cockpit on the zero is quite open
@@lpjmodels Imagine putting all that effort into a bomber... :D
great work!!!
Really nice job!
I really love the way you explained the ways you built & painted. I've learnt so much!
awesome build
Great work!
Great job !! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Nice work James, another great build.
Thanks John !
Great build! Working on a Zero now and I appreciate the additional inspiration.
Très beau travail !! congratulations ...
Well done! I love the weathering, it’s not overloading the final look. Perfect Zero!
Beautiful model and really excellent build!! It´s a pure joy to watch your work!

That cockpit detail looked amazing! Once again good work!
Cheers Ste ! I'm quite pleased with the tub
I learned something new today. Thanks for the build, your work is excellent!
Never saw this paint scheme on a zero before. What a sweet looking model. Well done!!!
very nice work on a very nice kit and you cannot go wrong with a zero
There was also such a painting as the aircraft color of this time of Zero Fighter.
As a Japanese, this is a new discovery.
Fantastic work!
Thankyou Allan !

Muy hermoso trabajo. Congratulations !!
Awesome build mate! Everyone should take a shot every Abteilung 502 sepia is said
Maybe the best zero I will ever see built. Wow!!
Great build 👍👍👍👍
Thanks Dave !
Fantastic work! Great to see so many techniques in one video. Really helpful without beeing boring. I found the lenght of video and amount of information provided for just right.
Thanks Tomas ! It's really hard to get that balance, I was worried this would be a bit too long but I'm glad to hear it's ok
Killed it! Now I have to get another one :)
that cockpit is absolutely stunning mate! like yourself I am very, very critical of myself but if I was capable of turning out something like that, I would be over the moon! beautiful work!
Thanks Simon !
Really awesome work !! Outstanding , de weathering it’s just on the point , and complements the aircraft beautifully !!! Eeexcccelent done !
Thanks Joaquim mate ! Glad you like it 😀
Very nicely done. I've had my eye on that kit for awhile. I've got a Hasegawa A6M5c waiting, though. I like your result.
Просто потрясающая работа.
Stunning James! Your best aircraft to date for sure!
Thanks Steve ! I agree, very pleased with this un
*Amazing and fabulous result, your Zero is one (THE ONLY?) of the best i ever seen!*
Wow mate thank you so much !
Great job James! Have a great Easter! Stay healthy ...
Thanks Pépé, I hope your Easter was good !
Yes it was :-)
Brilliant as always. In my opinion one of your best models. You have every right to be proud of that cockpit James. It is the best I have ever seen on any YT modelling channel. Attaboy! Stay safe mate!
Thanks Ferbie, much appreciated mate, I'm stoked especially with the balance in the cockpit. Hope the next uns have the same quality
a Master Piece.
Well done again sir!
Thanks Jon 😀
This technique of tracing the seams with glue is fascinating. The results are brilliant.
Awesome as always.
Thanks Pedro 🍻
Beautiful build, mate 👏
Thanks a lot my freind !
Hi James ... another excellent Video of a Masterpiece coming to life!!! ... thanks mate! ... cheers Markus
Thanks Markus !
Wow another stunner! Your builds never fail to blow me away. I really appreciate your in depth technique explanations as well. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Tony ! Glad the explanations are useful 👍
This is a masterpiece build and an excellently presented video. Amazing result!
Thanks WBP, that's really kind !
You've done it again mate!! And you're right the cockpit is the best one yet! Absolutely amazing
Thanks Tiptoe ! Hope alls well on your end
@@lpjmodels all good mate, hope you're all well too!!
Blimey. The cockpit dials look great. The camouflage is lovely with some lovely realistic chipping. Lovely job 😉
Thanks Bas ! Much appreciated mate
Thanks for video👍
You're welcome INTRUDER66 !
Liked the tips/techniques you showed on the oil weathering and blending. Knowing how long you’re waiting to start removing and blending was nice/confirmed my technique 😊
Thanks Bryan !
There's one thing I love and that's oil work. I never wick away the linseed though. Naughty naughty 😋
I think this is your best build... love the final result!
Thanks !
Looks great, I've learned many very interesting things, I must check VMS and more MRP also. And I give You one advice - it is good to use cap for airbrush cup - when it is full, it's very easy to spill paint over model. With so precise painting, that will be total disaster. ;) All the best for You! ;)
good tip Jeden, i usually only have a small amount in the cup and haven't had an accident yet ( tempting fate there)
Very impressive always learn so much from you.✌Canada✌
Cheers James ! Glad the vids are useful
Another cracking job ,shame you don't get to see all that engine work .
Very beautiful :)
Superb! The best Zero model I have seen! Paint job is very subtil, weatrhering technics is clever. The video and the narrative are didactic. And yes your cockpit is a success. ;)
Thanks Bertrand ! I try and balance information without overloading the viewer so that's good to hear
@@lpjmodels I think, it’s the good balance. Anyway you’ll have a lot of other models to deliver others informations, so, no problem.
Once again I really appreciate how the paint job and the weathering are made, because it is the more realistic that way.
Sure, when in front of the model, the way you do the weathering can be really appreciated.
Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant result, I really like what you achieved with the chipping medium, granted that it's really hard to get a good result with a metallic substrate. I also love the way you handled oils. It is an easy way to add visual interest to your model and many use it sloppily, but I think you showed them the respect that is due to bring out the best of them.
Thanks Agelos !
I think one of the things people expect with oils is to "get them " right away but like with all of these things it takes time and practice to understand the nuances and little tricks to get them performing as we want. But once you get the hang of them they are so versatile !
This is…perfect
making me want to build the 4 i have 😭 no time tho. amazing build
4! I though the guy earlier with 3 had a lot. 😆
@@lpjmodels haha, idk man i know a dude with like 30 of their mustangs, so i don’t feel that crazy yet-
Stunning work! Looks like I got a new kit on the wish list now. I'm glad to see you added the exhaust staining to the landing gear doors, I've seen a lot of builds where the bottom of the aircraft was dirty but the gear doors are way clean. I'm also going to go check out them switches sounds like a nice file to have.
Hey Floki , thanks man ! The anyz switches are great, they run at about €4 per file ( I got 4 ) .
I nearly missed the gear doors too !
Nice!
Wow didn't the cockpit turn out well? Super job on everything else too, it looks great. Love love love the chipping!
Superb work! I'd love to see what you can do with the Infinity 1/32 Val coming out in April!
