The #AudiR8 was the company's first-ever mid-engine supercar when it came out in 2008. Borrowing a lot from its Lamborghini cousin, the 2020 #Audi #R8 gets a significant refresh this year. With 30 more HP for the standard #R8V10 and a refreshed look front and rear with standard #Quattro AWD. It still represents one of the best supercar bargains money can buy, especially when you are comparing the #R8V10Performance which has the same HP and torque as the #LamborghiniHuracan. We'd go for the #R8Spyder to be able to hear the #V10 engine the most.

All these “car reviewers” talking shit about “fake vents” are damn annoying. You guys don’t even have the necessary driving skills to make use of one even if there was one there. On top of that you’re using this on the public roads so having fake vents actually make it easier when it’s time to cleaning your car when you don’t have a bunch of crazy gunk stuck into the vents. Amateurs 🤦🏻♂️

@Righteous Audi premiers technology that other brands copy. Laser headlights, LED integration, chassis magnetic rust proofing. Most motably their AWD. They also rank very high in consumer ranking in reliability. My Audi has 300,000 miles.

@Righteous Whoever buys this can afford the depreciation and will have back-up cars whenever it needs maintenance. Instead of seeing the beauty in a car all you think about is bills. This isn't for you. I can't afford this but at least I don't think about mundane bullshit.

Correct. The 5.2l V10 is an Audi development not Lamborghini.

Yes it is correct. Audi created the 5.2l for the R8. It had nothing to do with Lamborghini. It never existed in a lambo until after the R8 V10 circa 2009/10.

Again, the 5.2l engine never existed in a lambo until after the R8 V10 came out. It's easy to see that the first Gen gallardo only had a 5.0l engine that was lambos own. They then used the Audi powerplant (5.2l) for the gen2. If you want to watch a video on it then check out jayemm's review on the V10. Least he actually did a bit of research.

The R8 is based off Audi's R8 LMS GT3 car which requires a road legal car but it's a race car first and a GT second which is why you only have 1 screen versus two screens.
Audi: So we checked our launch log built into the car and it says you launched it 100 times?!?

You spend that kind of money they should update the infotainment system like they have any Q8, A8L, RS6...etc and I'd like to add some twin turbo charging to the R8, and add a 48 volt mind hybrid system in it.

Long time subscriber. As always great review. Can't say I'm really a fan of the music you have been adding in the beginning of the videos. Your videography is music enough. Kinda hard to stay focused on what you are saying in the intro. due to the distracting music. For what it's worth.

Thats something that bugs me why are people worried about mpg in super cars. They've never had good mpg. Special engines like v10s and v12s were made for these cars
Really? The NSX gets 21 mpg city, IN A SUPER CAR!
But the nsx is hybrid which was designed for that to be a thing for it.
Plus it's a v6
The Corvette, which is quicker than this gets 30 miles per gallon. And always has. Friend of mine had an '02 ZO6 and if you treated it decently on the highway at 70 mph it was getting 28 mph.
This car is missing all of the safety equipment you would get in a Toyota Corolla, why would I buy this when I could buy a Corvette for $60,000.
Other than the V10 which absolutely sounds amazing.

But the vette gets decent mpg for what it is.

Agreed! However, I would rather save some money by going for a used LFA with low mileage than to get this new R8 because it’ll be more reliable and lower cost of ownership.

Great video as always Sofyan. Well, I guess since Audi decided to give this gorgeous car real exhaust outlets (fake ones on their sedans and others :( ), they chose to make a whole bunch of other things fake. Otherwise, Audi cars are really nice.
For such place to place mobile, I always recommend using usb with L-shape connector for mobile side.

What do I need to check In the car details If I don’t want the fixed suspension? Do I make sure the car comes with dynamic steering option, or is that something else? Or do all “non performance” R8s come with the smoother suspension/ride?

just a thought - maybe the engineers thought it would be pointless to make some of those fake vents "functional" vents due to placement or just simply wouldn't serve a purpose either way. Mind as well close them up to reduce grime build up pointlessly. the upper blade fake vent probably doesn't even have an air tunnel inside so why open those up to catch dirt and grime? All the vents are open and closed for a reason especially on a car of this level. Fake vents on camrys and accords? Not so much :D
Bought the base model in vegas yellow and chucked in an akrapovic exhaust.. i think i made the right choice..
Personally I prefer the r8 over the huracan, just a little more subtle which is my type.
I agree about a separate screen in the middle is a must as I love to glance on my screen in the middle when I drive my 2017 A4

Have this exact car except mine has the red interior. Its amazing. Absolutely love it. (one thing you didnt get to mention due to the cloud / rain is the pink flake in the Kemora Grey - When the sun hits it you can see it. Its awesome) Also realize that you had this in Dynamic - The gearing is way tougher. In Auto or Comfort this thing floats and the gear change, especially the down shift, is so soft. in Dynamic when it down shifts, you def feel it. If you manual it in Dynamic or Performance, you can control that much better. That all being said, who wants to drive in comfort lol

I didn’t realize that these performance variations were sprung stiff. Engine sounds great. Might be wearisome after about an hour and half of noise.
I'd like to see like a flip up screen in the center. So you could put it away if it was distracting.

That Lamborghini Huracan 5.2L naturally-aspirated V10 is probably the best V10 still in production today. I mean, we don't get engines like this anymore, and it's an amazing feeling just to hear that thing from the inside or out. Good on VW Group for keeping this engine around. Audi and Lamborghini have a seriously amazing engine in their hands. The R8 V10 Performance Spyder is probably better, because it's a convertible and you can hear the V10 even better :)

the actual 0-60 is 2.6 seconds and has proven time to time again. So its not slower than NSX or tesla.

3:58 they're not fake on the R8 GT3 LMS version (which any one can buy), they are air intake vents, the car was designed as a GT class race car, then adapted to a production civilian car.
