Just in time for Miami Music Week. Can't wait to see some of the videos of DJ's using this beast.
Pro tip for all Dj's. When using a rotary mixer, leave the hi, mid,low turned all the way to the right. Never turn the volume all the way up. Unity is the best setting per channel & master volume. Use the pitch control to get the blends right before you bring in the next track. Use a Headphone dj stick. When DJ'ing a party never have people in the DJ booth & do not allow phones. Have fun.

Looks beautiful, BUT it is missing the 2 most important reasons why DJs use Rotary:
1- DJs use ROTARY for the ABALOG SMMING which gives depth and the sound is perceived multidimensional (it is not an A/B test of playing a track it is physically perceived in the dance floor and effects how the audience perceive the performance so very Critical)
2 - DJs use ROTARY because of mixing with REAL VCA, there is something unparalleled when blending 2 REAL VCA sources like in the analog rotary instead of mixing in DSP.
DIGITAL IS AMAZING in every compartment especially media player, dj software etc but ANALOG is better than Digital when it comes to SUMMING of the sources.
Humans listen in Analog and our entire body work with Voltage so Analog mixers are more natural to us and will help the DJ to be perceived better by the audience

Looks great, but I hope one day a company will finally release a quality rotary mixer with a crossfader. It would be great to have some fine knob for precision but also option for tight clean cut if needed
(and not just for scratch but also, those kind of cut we see at 2:15 would sound better and cleaner with a tighter curve)
Check out the UK company Mastersounds, they have a 2 or 4 valve mixer with a cross fader.
An adjustable curve on the master eq would have been the icing on top of the icing of this delicious cake.. 🍰

@djse at no point in the last 4 decades has anyone requested this. It’s kind of oxymoronic to ask for knobs and then a crossfader. In the same way as asking for turntables then complaining they don’t take your usb.
@@michaelhicks8603 and yet, turntable exist with a USB exist and it's great.
The DJ market is not something that supposed to be the same for 40 years, it has always been a place for inovation, stuff that people doesn't necessary always ask for but push the limitation of what we can do.
40 years ago, there was turntablist on one side, and techno/house DJ on another, now genre and mixing style are more mixed, and so a rotary mixer with DJM FX like this make sence, but also the same with a crossfader (kind of like the V10 that goes both option). As a DJ I don't ask a brand to give me limitation but to give me innovation, and I'm sure I'm not the only one :)

This looks amazing! BUT i'm so confused without a Crossfader. Is that normal for Rotary mixers to not have one?

I’d love to see one with regular upfaders and a crossfader almost as a successor to the DJM-V10. I like the screen that emulates an analog mixer. I feel like this mixer would fit best in a live sound setting with stuff like live synthesizers, keyboards, sequencers, and drum machines (almost like the chemical brothers).
When a REV 7 with the pitch on side of turntable? for electro DJ that will be a better configuration....

Here is Excited mixer.. wow
I keep getting a slapping distortion sound when recording on Serato D j Pro, the USB output is set to +15 db. I have then turned down the USB to +9 when recording on Serato Dj Pro directly to my laptop and it seems to go away. But if record on analog to my other PC on Creative software I don't here that slapping distortion.

99% of the DJ's will never know if this even makes a distinguishable difference to their sound since they all stand behind the speakers, while being at the mercy of a basic or poorly tuned sound system, and 2nd rate engineer.
Actually, in 99% of the time djs have monitor speakers which I guess you already know but the quality of the engineers is true.

To blend tracks smoothly you use rotaries. Less accidents sliding the fader too fast... Dial fader is slower then line faders therefore less prone to accidental incursions. 😉
Much smoother transitions, ideal for long mixes between tracks

This can never be called a rotary mixer.....because a mixer has potentiometers in the fader area, that doesn't make it a rotary......
