    Awesome mixer. Best of the new. And analog sound quality.
    Pros: 1) most analog rotary mixers do not have a mic input. This does.
    2) most rotary analog mixers don’t have built in sound card (except xone96 and mp2015). This does and works with Rekordbox , Traktor and Serato without needing a Motu sound card for example. Easily a $600 saving and no messy audio cables.
    3) rotary faders come standard - xone 96 rotary sound kit u need to spend more money.
    4) analog VU meters - a nice bonus for metering rather than boring led lights
    5) built in isolators - a bonus and nice to have.
    6) built in sound effects that quantize - awesome. Kinda like having a 900nxs2 or rmx1000 built in for free.
    7) Rupert Nieves transformer- game changer for that nice fat analog sound.
    For all these reasons this “hybrid” mixer is a game changer.
    Alpha Theta hit a home run here.
    For rotary purists who are pissed out soiling their bedsheets (Mastersounds, Isonoe, Condesa etc) the value you get with this mixer and the sound quality and features - its the best in the market. it’s a no brainer.
    Best mixer I ever owned hands down.😊

      Appreciate your thoughts, I definitely agree on the value piece and glad you are happy with your Euponia - it's such a cool mixer and sounds great. Really my only gripe was some of the build quality elements. But to your larger point, this really is a hybrid mixer and bridges two distinct worlds. If one is looking for that stripped down, retro/industrial feel with great sound like Urei, Master Sounds, Condesa etc., they'll want to go a different direction than the Euponia.
      For me personally, because I own an A9 and a V10 as well as a Warm2, the Euponia would be somewhat redundant. It has actually helped me determine that my my next rotary will likely be a Condesa. Props to Alpha Theta/{Pioneer for taking the risk and innovated like they did here - let's hope it continues. And now that I've had some time on a Euponia, I look forward to seeing it in the wild at any upcomming gigs.

    Hi mate!.. any opinions about sound comparison with Xone 96? Thanks!

    • @seattlehousemafia
      @seattlehousemafia  3 месяца назад +1

      We haven't had a 96 in studio but do love how they sound. My hunch however is once you start pushing the Neve transformers on the Euphonia, it's going to sound superior from a warmth, summing and lack of distortion perspective (was almost impossible to get the Euphonia to distort). That's just a guess though. At a minimum, the 96 came out in 2018 and the Euphonia 2024, so even from a new technology standpoint, Alpha Theta likely has the edge. But again, this is all just speculation and I know there are a ton of die hard A&H fans out there - I've always been a fan as well. To your point, getting both side by side would be the ultimate test - I'll see what I can do.

      @@djbobrokk723 We saw the MasterSounds announcement - bummer for sure. The rotary space is interesting right now and Alpha Theta entering the market will hopefully build general awareness. Like I said, I mostly loved the Eupohnia, but definitely had a couple of hangups that you simply don't see from a quality perspective with other boutique rotaries.

    How does it sound with two Denon SC600's in a four way mix? Thanks.

      Don't have access to Denon players but do have CDJ3000 and CD2000JNSX2s. Both sound phenomenal, understandably the 3Ks slightly better (new tech). I ran both via digital in/out. My hunch would be the Denon or any other player with digital out would sound fantastic as well. Have you done a comparison between the CDJ3Ks and the SC600? Though I'm a Pioneer guy, the Denons look really fun and well thought out, just not at all familiar with them.

      Hey good first impression video. And I would say spot on.
      I happen to be blessed to have owned quite a few different rotaries in the past. Including two separate Master Sounds mixers, an ARS, and a Urei. I’ve also played on the Rane 2015 which was one of my favorites.
      I sold my Master Sounds mixer the minute I touched the Euphonia. Not because I thought it was better sound wise, but workflow wise with the effects is something quite unique and something that really works well for me.
      I have some suggestions for improvements to pioneer that I hope can be handled with firmware updates. For example the routing to the isolator is my favorite feature hands down, but I do feel it should be adjustable as to when the effects kick in.
      For instance, some people might wanna run the isolator and maybe have all the knobs 1 o’clock for overall room equalization.
      But If you do that, the effect would always be on. unless you have, the button depressed.
      It just minimizes the flexibility a bit.
      A user definable option to have them kick in at around 1 or 2 o’clock would be great.
      I agree on the Shini part two. Although apparently they’ve use some new material that is scratch proof? I believe that when I see it. Until then I’m not putting anything to abrasive on it. But I think it would’ve looked a lot better if they just use the same look as the bottom.

      Definitely not a rack mount standard (19") but appreciate the statement. For the record, my V-10 is almost 2" wider. I also grabbed some specs of the the common mixers in a somewhat similar class if that helps. Let me know if you have more questions.

    Hi, You mentioned you have the Ecler Warm2. Which sound do you prefer between the Ecler and the Euphonia?

    • @seattlehousemafia
      @seattlehousemafia  2 месяца назад +1

      Good question and very different animals. Both sound great but the Euponia takes it. Amazing clarity in the highs and mids and wild low/ low-mid presence and punch. For the money though, the Warm2 is my favorite bang for the buck to date. If you had the money, you wouldn't be disappointed with the Euphonia. If you are on a budget, you can't go wrong with the Warm2.

      Thanks for jumping in here. I've played on a couple of different Ranes (2015 and 2016) and a Urei but never the others - heard great things though about the ARS and Master Sounds. Also great feedback on the ISOs - my favorite feature as well. I love being able to assign the FX to the ISO and really just having EFX on a dope rotary is a total win. I'm still annoyed they cheaped out on EFX switch. They should've just made it a knob like one of the EQs, but maybe slightly bigger with a rose gold cap - now that would've been classy and felt way better. I'm still unclear if that is a metal or plastic pot - can you confirm?
      I didn't think about it at the time but yes, if you are using the ISO to eq out the room, it would be nice to have some additional controls so you can use the ISO as a master EQ and as a performance tool at the same time. Maybe even a master EQ setting/lock, where you could essentially set the ISO for room equalization, lock that setting in and then go back and use the ISO as the performance tool. Likely easier said then done but I like how you're thinking about it and think Alpha Theta should prob offer us both a high paying gig. :)

    • @DanielRivera-wn7ne
      @DanielRivera-wn7ne 3 месяца назад

      Yeah, for me, the isolators kind of both a musical performance tool, and an EQ at the same time. If you have a record, that’s needs a little touch of high end you can use the iso. And yes, you can also use the channel Ecue for the same thing, but they are slightly different flavor. I might be nitpicking here. I honestly like the way the mixer sounds with all the bands slightly boosted. So I guess that’s where I’m coming from.

    • @seattlehousemafia

      That's a tough one. Personally, I would probably go with an ARS - heard fantastic things about the sound and feel. Betting it would be more Rainesque than the Euphonia. That said, the onboard effects and the ISO effects mapping are so well done and the sound is fantastic on the Euphonia. For context though, I already own a V10 and an A9 so I'm not hankering for another mixer with Pioneer tech, which is why I would choose the ARS for the more industrial/analogue feel - that special something different. You may have the opposite view coming from a 2016 and that "something special" may be exactly what the Euphonia offers. Hopefully not confusing you here. I really don't think you could go wrong with either. You might also take a look at Condesa out of Australia.
