If you could answer a question for me. When I string multifilaments I am always above my set tension on my machine (gamma progression els ii). When I check on the apple app for racquet tension if I set it to 45 pounds for example it will come out 49 when I am finished. This doesn't happen when I string polys, it only happens when I string multis. I have done 3 different strings types on 4 different racquets to check my sanity multiple times and it keeps happening. Any thoughts on why? The polys on the app are a lot closer to what i set, usualy a couple pounds below, but being below my set tension makes a lot more sense to me than being above my set tension.
Apple app? Huh?! 🤔 which app? The only thing reliable is ERT 300. I have one and if anything is accurate it’s the ERT, I never really use it unless I’m testing out new strings. Expensive device. Unfortunately nothing else can be trusted. I trust my ear 👂 more than anything that’s not the ERT. Hope this helps.
@@prostringlondon thank you for replying. The app is called racquettune. It was recommended to me by other tennis players. I would like to purchase that machine but it is so expensive. You think there might be something in my technique though that causes the tension to go up?
@@Groovin2 it’s so hard to say. I think it’s just a nonsense app. I’ll download it and compare to the best device on the market which I have at my disposal and review it.
