This was the first watch to ever wow me when I first started off as a young collector. Saw it every day on my boss's wrist and every day I thought to myself "I gotta have that watch". I'm happy to say that in a few months time I'll finally be able to go out and buy the watch! I've tried it on a few times and I'm absolutely sure it's the watch for me. Thank you for the review Bruce!
Hey Bruce, using your kids as an excuse to buy luxury watches is a pretty good trick. How long can you use this excuse before your wife catches on to it. *Smile*
I purchased a 116613 (two-tone blue) back in the early 90's and I think it's been one of the best purchases I've made over the years. I cannot tell you how many compliments I've received over the years, and of course the appreciation has been hard to beat. It's also held up very well, the finish on it today is almost as good as it was when new. It's traveled with me numerous times around the world, and has never let me down. The time has always been spot on. Good Luck with yours!
Despite having mine since 2011 and following every single release, I never knew they updated the dial. Loved the flat dial compared to the sunburst even then, so knowing this makes it even more special :)
I had a 2000 model bluesy and sold it about 5 years later. I had rued the day so a week ago I bought an immaculate 2010 bluesy and I love it, I love it and I love it. Beats my solid 18ct gold day-date by a mile!
A great choice, I bought my son one of these for his 18th birthday and he still loves it. Yes it has also appreciated in value which means he has to be careful when and where he wears it which is a sad thing to have to say now.
This watch is nothing like the watches I like, but I love it. This is the exception to the "less is more" rule. One of the best looking watches ever made for me
I have a sunburst dial 116613lb. It’s such a joy to wear and looking at it. It’s pure elegant watch with powerful character to it. The gold part is protected by RX-8 protective film and I wear it with peace of mind. I also have a 16610 sub. But bluesy is with me to everywhere I go. Makes my every single day. Happy owner
This is one of my fantasy watches! Blue and gold are striking together, especially that particular shade of blue. If Rolex produced an all stainless steel blue Sub, I'd make the effort to save for it!
The 16613LB is my first Rolex. It will always be in my heart. I will add another TT Bluesy to my collection when they upgrade to the 3235 movement...which I'm thinking will be next year. Thanks for the vid!
I hope so... I wonder if they will supersize the case and up the price at the same time. EX2, DJ, Yachtmaster, SD have all been bumped up in recent years
@@BruceWilliams Thanks. Absolutely stunning in person, especially in the sunlight. My wife, my son, and his friends all like it over my Pepsi jubilee but I think I still prefer the Pepsi. Close call!

Got this for my 21st for around 10-11k. I generally never wear it and have come back basically 10 years later to find that it’s held it’s price so well. It’s personally too outlandish for everyday wear, but what I will say is that this watch definitely what I will describe as “holds a presence” in real life and this particular version is probably the best out of all of them. A great watch if “presence” is your thing.
I love my sunburst ceramic Bluesy. Mainly a weekend watch, but I wear my 216570 polar as my daily. Can't miss pieces. Great review that captured the heart of the blue and gold Sub!
The previous 40mm Bluesy had yellow/gold lettering on its dial face. The new 41mm Bluesy has all white lettering on its dial face. Also the new Bluesy has the Rolex Crown just below the 6 o'clock bar located right between the words SWISS MADE. The older model does not.
nice review. I have this 116613LB, but in a rarer produced reference with the Diamond markers at 1,2,4,5,7,8,10,11. this is the nicest looking bluesy they make and with the diamonds against that blue gloss dial; it POPS! Also I noticed mine has a beautiful gold frame around the date window which might make it more special I HOPE ! the Indian salesman at the AD urged me to get this years ago.

This is my daily wear and was a very generous gift! I'm batting out of my league as I'm not a collector I am a landscape contractor. It's beautiful and extremely durable. I'm probably taking a lot of value out of it with daily wear in a construction environment, but why have it and not wear it right?
It's a good looking piece. A guy on our Norway tour had one. When I asked if the bezel was aluminum or ceramic, he didn't know. I said 'let me see the clasp' and sure enough: glide lock, 6 digit Bluesy.
I have a fair amount of Rolex stainless, but also love my TT, and the bluesy is definitely one of my favourite Rolex 2 tone. Mine is a 16613LB, 1997 (last tritium dial), but I love the modern ones too. Although I agree that these early ceramic 116613LB with solid blue dial are rarer, I never really liked those, and much prefer the sunburst dial. My other favorite 2 tones are: the TT Daytona champagne dial/subdial black or vice-versa (Paul Newman dial), they are relatively rare, as this was a config reserved for PM, but few where sold in TT by Rolex .. And the new TT root beer, a very cool watch too... These 3 pieces are my favourite Rolex TT.

I'm looking for one now they are asking 10k and half . I want to take it as investment watch and enjoy it as well .
This is my grail watch (although I'd accept the 41mm version too lol). Did you buy it for your daughter? I agree the two tone is superior to the plain SS and looks classier/dressier and just straight up beautiful.
My friend has the Bluesy, liked it a lot but being the blue freak I researched and found the Smurf (116619LB) I was done and seduced by the stealth white gold, double blue look, and talk about heft! Bruce compare the Bluesy to the Smurf for weight, yes pricey but I love it!
Saw one at an ad a few years ago. Solid gold is so heavy!!
@@BruceWilliams and it looks and feels great !! looking forward to your review of the 216570 since I have the Panda version and compared to your 40mm Panda16570
What does lb stands for?
Its a luxury perversion of what once was proper tool watch
Ron Power I do think Rolex needs to make a version of the 114060 that is more tooly. Less polishing, maybe an aluminum bezel, etc.
This one is actually really good value for money, 18k gold, porn look and way cheaper than a Hulk in Steel
The two tone is growing on me. 😎
I got one and I’m loving it
Something is not perfectly aligned with the yellow line at index 7 with the center of the letter R. Strange for a Rolex.
Love Rolex, unfortunately too small for me.... prefer 43mm bezel... :) great review... :)
❤️my Sub Bluesy 116613 LB 👌
Lmao 😆
Bruce Williams the kinda guy to have ten kids, so he can have ten Rolex's 😂
AC3 loves the bluesy, so you may wanna reconsider Bruce
I can't let who likes what watch influence me
Bruce Williams I know Bruce I was only kidding mate
Very nice. Should not have sold mine
What's its alternative ?? In Seiko .🙏
What’s the waitlist is on this watch? :)
I like the black one. Easy to wear
So you are just going to say nothing about the blob over at the 25 minute mark on the bezel of this here superlative chronometer?
Loved the intro!
Thanks!
I hated this at first... and then i suddenly loved it... like an aged scotch, hah.
sold me. buying one next year.
Good job, you sold me. You should be a Salesman.
I love the crispy Sub bezel!
The TT bluesy is a flashy watch...If you like the bling bling, then this watch is for you.
Is the dial sun burst dial?
My favourite submariner also the two tone blue submariner!
