Carry along canned beans, nuts and seeds, and go to grocery store in the first day of arriving.

When we go on vacation we have a potato express to make baked potatoes in the microwave, I have a veggie steamer and we have a hot plate to make meals i the hotel room. We also get things like pre packaged rice blends to microwave and add to salad greens....eggs (for my husband) and you can brown english muffins on a pan on the hot plate. I take oatmeal packets, fruit, raw veggies, etc. You can totally make things work, especially if there's a grocery store nearby.

Great video! I always book VRBO rentals w/ full kitchen, find a Whole Foods nearby and bring the following on the plane because I can reuse the containers as well once at your destination: thermo w/ hot meal or groats, plastic "tupperware" salad container, baked potatoes & bag of veggies & fruit as well.

Carry along and buy food for lunch and breakfast (and eat dinner in a restaurant)

I really enjoyed this one! As an endurance runner who travels to marathons quite often, it's always a challenge to find a healthy meal! Thanks for the tips!

Such good ideas. I find it very stressful travelling and my partner works away allot. I really hate plastic but with Covid it’s been hard to get food not in polystyrene. We usually travel with plates, cutlery, containers, coffee making stuff and cups. I caved in and bought some of those silicone lidded containers that stack so we can use them to eat out of and store food too.

Yeah, I feel like we always are compromising somewhere when we travel. It’s unfortunate but better than the SAD alternative 😊

It would be so worth it to stop at a dollar store and pick up a kitchen knife. Yes they have them. Obviously not the best but great for a vacation. Leave it behind when you leave. Save a ton of money, rather than buying all the prechopped veggies I've seen in so many videos .

I love utilizing Instacart when vacationing so we don't have to spend money on a rental car.
