I was told by my doctor not to diet while pregnant but instead to eat healthier and continue to move. And ok, cool. But pregnancy has done something different to me. I dont crave the junk food like candy and chips. All i seem to want it fruit and salads. Like its 5am right now and all im thinkin' 'bout is a spring mix, cherry tomato, cucumber, and red onion salad! I need to get my butt in the gym....thats the hard part for me. But i feel less hungry having that food. I feel more satisfied eating healthier.

I have done very well with changing my food to natural, whole foods low carb, doing various fasting routines and avoiding most seed oils. But the sugar addiction! I still crave it almost every day, and certainly end up taking too many, "oops," days. My brother doesnt have a his problem and he made the same changes as me (by the way we both reversed prediabetes, lost 40+ pounds, almost never get sick, inflammation doesn't destroy our lives, etc). My son can have a bag of candy and still have it 6 months later, when it is dry snd ild and then he throws it away. He's twelve!!! He's my hero 😂 Anyway, thank you for the video!

Wow… thank you for this video. We had the same exact symptoms. 1. I was convinced I had bed bugs because there was no way I would have a rash this long (7 years later it’s still here). Obviously there was no bed bugs. I gave away my perfect Casper for a Purple mattress and it was way too firm, this led to shoulder and chest issues. Sold it and went back to Casper. 2. Look at the time, money, stress, and energy wasted all because of a rash. The mental toll it took on me was nuts (and that’s without just everyday life issues). 100% led to depression. 3. The migraines… Even when I explain them to people I felt like I was being dramatic. But no, those migraines are horrendous. I wouldn’t want to wish it on anyone. To the point where my peripheral vision goes dark to seeing the words I’m reading literally start swirling. And that’s not even the worst part - those are just side effects - after a moment of calm, the worst migraine comes… it has happened to me twice. This first one led me to completely stop drinking cold turkey and the second made me really look into avoiding gluten all together. Hearing your story gave me the little bit of validation I needed that I’m not making this up - time to get serious. Also wished I took it more serious a few years ago instead of just going deeper into what was causing harm. If ur reading this and this sounds like you: STOP CONSUMING GLUTEN (start slow - it wont be easy).

I’ve been eating healthy for two months and I feel like I’ve finally kicked the sugar habit. I still have dark chocolate once or twice a week, and milk chocolate maybe once every other week. Ten years ago, if I had a small bowl of ice cream, my irrational part of the brain would think that I’ve thrown all my hard work down the drain. I’m so happy that isn’t the case for me anymore. I just recently discovered that I had orthorexia at the time

Gluten (particularly gliadin, a gluten peptide) essentially acts as a neurotoxin. It's pure poison for the brain. I didn't have any intestinal problems at all, but I struggled with severe brain fog, memory issues, depression with anhedonia and lack of motivation, drowsiness, fatigue, light sensitivity and a nagging occipital pain that was resistant to all types of painkillers including opioids. I slept 14 hours a day and could barely get out of bed. I started experimenting on myself with different medications in desperate search of relief. Antidepressants like bupropion and amisulpride have given me some help with motivation by increasing dopamine and norepinephrine and I have been able to get rid of nape pain thanks to acetazolamide which lowers cerebrospinal fluid pressure. But no one was 100% effective, it was like taking a daily dose of poison with one hand while trying different antidotes with the other one without knowing which poison it was. I was on the verge of getting some irreversible MAOI, the most powerful antidepressant medications and wanted also try high doses of IV steroids (dexamethasone) when the turning point was the appearance of persistent dyshidrotic eczema which made me suspect some type of food intolerance/allergy. I used a drastic method: fasting! Only water and electrolytes for 3 days. Eczema gone! But not only that! I felt less tired with less need for sleep and more energy! You wouldn't think so for someone who hasn't eaten for 3 days! It was clear that the poison was in the food and it didn't take long to figure out that it was gluten! Following a strict gluten free diet all symptoms improved day after day!

My symptoms prior to celiac diagnosis started with a pin a needle like feeling in the soles of my feet and palms of my hands and really extreme brain fog. So bad it was affecting my reasoning and emotions..I don't recall much of 2011, 2012 & 2013 leading up to diagnosis in 2013. Being that celiac is autoimmune, it affects or creates tons of other issues..

Now research is showing for women intermittent fasting isn’t great and excercise fasting isn’t effective, Dr Stacy Sims interview on Andrew Hubermans podcast is really good. Great reminders to listen to our bodies over research as research is always changing.

Agreed. Although I’m not convinced by Dr Sims research either. Thanks for sharing!
