I started binge-eating at 12 and stopped at 54 only after switching to a WFPB lifestyle, it's been a lifesaver for me. I thought I would never get over my eating disorder but I'd like to tell viewers that it is possible. This way of eating is, I believe, a real hope of recovery. I'm now slim and have maintained my ideal weight for 3 years.
Fantastic interview! Justina is amazing. I had a couple of appmts with her and it was the best investment I've made for my health journey. I haven't binged since after 30 years of eating issues. She is worth her weight in saffron!💗💗💗 And she's just so real and gentle too! I definitely was guilty of veggie abuse and could easily eat 6-8 pounds of veggies and find no satiety. Turns out I don't need as much volume as I think when I eat more starch- but still a lot of volume compared to SAD eaters! Thanks for having her on your show Karli!
You're so welcome! Thanks for sharing this. I've been wondering about cutting back on my veggies too, but the thought of it just makes me sad... lol. I love my veggies! Always have. But the never ending giant food belly is definitely a frustration. I've been cutting back on my raw veggies- although it breaks my heart; )
@@NaturallyKarli I love veggies like crazy too, and sometimes I miss the volume (still about 3 pounds each day), but my whole body seems to run so much smoother with added starch. Can't hurt to try it and see how it goes for you, you can always go back if it doesn't work!😊
This is one of the MOST HELPFUL talks ever! Thank you for teaching about cramming, and for talking about how you also sometimes eat more. Super helpful! Thank you!
Yay, thank you for asking my question! ❤🎉 And thank you, Justina, for your helpful response, I really appreciate the time taken to answer it. I agree. It must be a number of different factors occurring at the same time as switching to a low fat WFPB diet. I have definitely completely neglected all thought to iodine health as well as EPA/DHA and other factors contributing to hormone health. I'm 33, married with 2 children, so it's definitely not menopause, haha! But I also heard Dr Goldner talk recently on the importance of taking iodine daily and adverse affects of neglecting it. I always thought it was just the lack of fats as I used to eat alot of raw nuts and seeds and "healthy oils" and no longer do. Thank you do much for clarifying! 🤗 I loved this whole interview!! You are both so full of wisdom ✨️ 💖
Thanks Hayley! I’m glad you got a thorough response. Justina is truly a wealth of knowledge. We will definitely be working together again in the future 👍
