I'm very independent and I've never discussed my diets while being on them. SInce becoming WFPB my resolve to keep losing weight and staying on track has been strengthened and motivated by health educators (like you!) and their amazing videos. I also like the community's supportive comments even though I don't know these people, sometimes it's easier to talk to strangers, also in real life. I don't feel the need to talk about my eating habits with my friends except to recommend (lightly and without insisting) eating whole food plants for health and weight loss. I have never particularly felt the need to have friends commenting on what I eat, I like doing things myself and in private to be honest, as commenting on what I eat/don/t eat or my weight gain/loss is triggering for me due to past eating disorders. Can I also offer the tip to practice what you'll say in social situations in front of a mirror, e.g., "It's very kind of you, but I don't eat doughnuts/cookies/oily foods, etc. or "Thank you for the lovely thought but I don't eat cake, even if it's vegan, doctor's orders!" or simply a firm "No, thank you!" said with a smile.
