That's right today i add up every penny spent on the slammed Sierra to get it to this point. I have been wanting to do this video for a while as many of you have been asking what did I pay for certain items. My neighbor has a 04 greenish/ smoke grayish chevy. 5.3 with 37,000 mi on it. He's in his 70s and knows what he's got. He won't sale it. He told his wife that if he go (die) to give me the truck bc I help them out so much. Hahaha, I drive his truck more than mine. I wish his truck had the older model frontends but I'm in love with that style.

You probably wouldn't be able to buy an old truck with nice paint, new tires, wheels, bumpers, etc for that money. Turbocharge that truck, please don't add a LS motor, there are way to many LS trucks! I don't even like trucks, but yours looks really nice!

I been looking for a chevy obs for sometime with alot of dead ends. Went to the junk yard and found a 94 chevy shortbed 6 banger. 450 bucks.. Need to replace the cab corners and front fenders, fix a dent and replace the head gaskets. If the block doesnt pan out, oh well. Ill dump a 5.3 in it.

I just bought a 94 chevy stepside regular cab with the full knowledge I'm going to put $15 grand into it before I have it how I want it. I had one right out of high school that I gave up when I started having kids. I will get this one back to exactly how that one was and enjoy it. Will I ever get my money back out of it? Of course not. Do I care? Absolutely not. Life is too short. Drive the truck you want the way you want it.

I just inereted a 2000 V6 Silverado with 151K, best offer ive had so far is 2300 bucks. 2wd, useless to me, but nobody wants to give a reasonable price, its not eating anything, so i guess itll set in my driveway.

This hobby isn't for everyone. I dont understand people that gamble as a hobby. But I dont bash them for it. From one Missouri boy to another... Awesome job so far! I've had that done on 2 trucks and love it! Combine that with a locking hard bed cover and the bed is safe and secure!
Great looking truck! I have a red 2000 Silverado that I purchased from my father-in-law a couple years ago. He bought it new and always parked inside. So paint is real good except some dings and scratches here and there and no rust! First change I made was the wheels and I knew even before I bought it that I wanted the same as you have on yours. I'm getting ready to do a 2/4 drop and was looking for video's on RUclips when I came across yours. I found quite a bit of info on both newer and older trucks but there doesn't seem to be as much out there on trucks of this era, so I appreciate the work you've done and posted! I'll keep watching for more.... Thanks!

Love your Sierra. You should let your son have this truck. My dad gave me his first truck a 92 k1500 for my first Vehicle, I took good care of it and made memories with my old man customizing it. After Highschool i gave it back since i knew he missed his old truck. Now he talks about giving it to my boy when he starts driving. Again love your ride, clean and simple!

The only things I don't like are the rims and it to low for me. I like stock size rims with big tires to full the wheel weels. But that's just me.

My truck is 16 years old and it came from Florida...no rust whatsoever....it also came with an electronic device that puts a micro current through the frame and all metal parts to keep them from oxidizing...people are amazed when they look at my truck...
Mine is a 2004 Silverado 5 speed manual (i wanted a five speed) The Truck sounds so much better going through the gears with the flowmasters on there.

I love the look of the truck. I have an 02 extended cab Sierra. It was my brother’s truck and he let me borrow it when I was in High School. I bought it last year off him for $3,000. It has 200,000 miles and it had a huge dent on the bed (which I fixed). He needed the money and it was the truck I always wanted so I overpaid, but it was for a good reason. I have spent $4,600 on it. I think it looks the same, but every person I talk to says it doesn’t. So I guess that’s good? My plan is to paint it as the paint is not great and get an hd hood. But working full time and going to school full time, the build is slow.

OEM+ look FTW makes me wish my Silverado was Green 😂. my parents Gave me a 95 ck1500 2wd v6 Lifted on 33’s he told me you don’t need a v8 it would get me in trouble lol I give you a v8 if you don’t get in trouble with the v6 it was slow but it Taught me how to Respect what given to me and how to take care of the truck and not be Out there being a Idiot doing stupid stuff in the parking lots like some kids like to do nowadays.

I had McGaughys front drop spindles on the front of my 06' single cab. And They SUCK. I Bought Wilwood 16" brake kit for it and those spindles are so far out of spec. Compared to factory spindles . The brake calipers wouldnt bolt on . Had to get Bell Tec. Spindles

Did u do a video on the reverse tailgate? if not u should. I got my 99 GMC Sierra but the tailgate bezel came off, I got an ebay 1 for it doesn't pop in good cuz the right side on the truck doesn't have a hole or notch for the bezel to clip in, the left side does, I might have to drill a hole for the right side so the bezel can pop in place.
I didn't because my painter took care of all that.

If you don’t get rid of it who cares. I bought a rough, zero rust, 2005 2wd crew for 4800. I figured I could put in a Texas speed motor and rpm trans and all of the upgrades for 10k cheaper than my old 2015 gmc. Love it brother. Keep up the good work. I’ll send picks when I get a bit further.

Have you had to replace the hood insulation? Priced one for a 2003 Chevy Silverado, factory is pretty expensive and don't see where aftermarket is available for this particular year.
